The Buddha Light Illuminates My Home and Family

(Minghui.org) I am an 88-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner who started practicing Falun Dafa on July 8, 1996. For 29 years, I have steadily walked the path of cultivation under Master Li Hongzhi’s protection. The Buddha light shines on my home, and my family and I have benefited greatly. My children are loyal and support me in fulfilling my mission as a Falun Dafa disciple. Today, I will share some of our experiences.

Clarifying the Truth and Saving People Without Fear

I am a retired mid-level official from a government agency. Throughout my career, I have had numerous opportunities to interact with officials across various government departments and leadership positions. I take advantage of the favorable circumstances provided by Master Li to help save government officials, including mayors, secretaries of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and bureau chiefs. I have clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to them and helped them withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. On one occasion, a CCP secretary said to me, “You’re the only one who dares to tell me this.” I replied, “Yes, it’s our fate to meet each other. I must save you.” He was very receptive to what I said and accepted all the informational materials I provided. He took the time to read them and then happily chose to withdraw from the CCP.

I come from a large family with relatives all across the country. I have attended almost every family wedding and funeral, using those occasions to help awaken people. At every banquet and event, I distributed pamphlets about Falun Dafa, and I helped dozens of individuals renounce the CCP. Even during the most severe and terrifying years of the persecution, I carried many materials providing the truth about Falun Dafa and traveled safely. Sometimes, when I felt I might be stopped or arrested, I reminded myself, “I’m a Falun Dafa disciple helping Master to save people. Who would dare to touch me?” With this righteous thought, I was able to distribute the materials unimpeded.

I go out almost every day to talk with people about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I often see tourist buses visiting my city. When passengers get off the bus, I feel flustered and worried about focusing on one person while possibly overlooking another. However, I never feel afraid to approach people.

My Eldest Son’s Effortless Success

Now, I will talk about my family. My eldest son is very devoted to me. Although he doesn’t practice Falun Dafa, he silently supports everything I do.

When the persecution of Falun Dafa first began, many practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. I was also preparing to go to Beijing with fellow practitioners. The night before our departure, I packed Dafa books and Master’s portraits for myself and another practitioner, planning to leave them at a relative’s home. Although I was familiar with his area, I drove back and forth and couldn’t find the relative’s house. I decided to go to my eldest son’s home instead. At first, I hesitated to leave the items with him because he had a job and it might draw attention, possibly causing trouble for him. I also worried that he and his wife would be afraid to accept them. However, it was already late, and I had no other choice, so I knocked on his door. To my surprise, he and his wife happily accepted all the Falun Dafa materials.

Whenever I traveled with my son’s family to participate in various activities or go on outings, I would distribute pamphlets containing information about Dafa. My son never interfered and even quietly cooperated with me. For several years, we have printed truth-clarification calendars at the end of each year. Many boxes of calendars were stored in my garage, which my son helped me carry up and down the stairs.

My son’s support for Dafa has also brought him blessings. At his workplace, he was the only one to be awarded the title of Senior Engineer, despite others having more advanced degrees and more work experience. Everyone was puzzled, but I knew it was Master’s gift.

My grandson needed a house for his wedding, and my son and daughter-in-law managed to scrape together the money to buy him one. However, they ended up in debt for hundreds of thousands of yuan. They worried about how they would ever repay it with their salaries. Then, a foreign company in a neighboring county started recruiting. My son was selected for the position because he held a Senior Engineer certificate, which was a requirement for the company. He decided to leave his current job, pay into his labor insurance, and look forward to receiving his pension upon retirement. He accepted the job at the foreign enterprise, earning between 200,000 (about $28,000) and 300,000 yuan (about $42,000) a year. This enabled him to pay off his debts quickly. Now, with both his previous company’s pension and the high salary from the foreign company, he enjoys a comfortable life.

After paying his debts, he initially didn’t want to work anymore. However, the company couldn’t find a replacement for him, so he stayed on. His workload was reduced, enabling him to work only a few days a week.

His granddaughter is doing well in school and learning to play musical instruments, and she rarely gets sick. These are the blessings my son received for supporting Dafa.

My Second Son Regained His Memory

In 1992, my second son experienced severe brain trauma caused by a gas tank explosion. He was hospitalized for over a year and survived, but he remained in a state barely above vegetative. Although he could speak and move somewhat, he could not remember anything and had lost his ability to think logically.

In 1996, after I started practicing Falun Dafa, I bought him a copy of Zhuan Falun and asked his wife to read it to him. By 1997, he had shown significant improvement and could do addition and subtraction.

In October 1998, one day, he suddenly walked from his home to mine by himself. This was the first time in six years since his injury that he had walked to my house alone. It was truly a miracle. This indicated that he had recovered some memory. Our family was thrilled and shed tears for him. Thank you, Master!

My Daughter Finally Has a Child

At 28, my daughter had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, which resulted in the removal of one of her fallopian tubes. After that, she had difficulty conceiving.

My daughter is a kind-hearted person. During the early and difficult years of the persecution, Falun Dafa practitioners were often arrested and beaten if they refused to give up their beliefs. Nevertheless, I held a strong conviction in my heart: I would continue practicing regardless of the circumstances, which my daughter supported. She accepted the truth about Falun Dafa and often expressed concern for my well-being.

To everyone’s surprise, when my daughter turned 36, she became pregnant. She later gave birth to a very healthy boy. My grandson is now in his 20s and is doing well in both his career and personal life.

Master’s grace is so immense that words cannot fully express it. All I can do is diligently cultivate, do well with the three things, save more people, strive to keep improving to the end, and return home with Master.
