(Minghui.org) I’d like to take this opportunity to report my cultivation progress to revered Master Li Hongzhi and share my stories with fellow practitioners.
Miracles Happen When We Have Righteous Thoughts
Five officers planned to install a surveillance camera on an electric pole outside my store. Practitioners come here to read the Fa, work on projects related to Falun Dafa and talk about our cultivation experiences. I knew I had to stop the police from installing the camera, negate the old forces’ interference and prevent the officers from committing a crime.
I asked them, “Who told you install a camera here?” One of them said it was the police chief. I went back inside and shut the door. I tried to eliminate my notions and fear so that I could rectify my thoughts. I refused to acknowledge the old forces’ persecution. I started to send righteous thoughts and asked Master to help me.
Master taught us,
“When a practitioner does something specific, it is his or her supernormal abilities that do the work.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)
Master’s teaching reminded me that practitioners’ righteous thoughts have power. I sent righteous thoughts and saw that they became powerful energy beams that messed up the electric pole, cameras, and electric circuits. All the evil elements in other dimensions were gone. I later heard one of them say, “This camera won’t produce images, let's get another one.” My righteous thoughts worked, and I continued to send them. Five minutes later another person said, “This one is broken too, get another one.”
After I sent righteous thoughts for an hour, I went outside and saw that they replaced all the wires connected to the electric pole—they said they were all broken. One man said, “It’s weird, all the poles in the county work except for this one.” That morning they tried to install nine cameras, but none of them worked. They became anxious and one said, “Something’s wrong with this place. Maybe we shouldn’t install it here.”
They took a lunch break and returned in the afternoon with the police chief. He said, “What’s up with you? Fix it.” In the end, the police chief gave up and said, “Let’s skip this one for now and move on. We’ll come back later.”
With Master’s protection, no one returned to install a surveillance camera in front of my shop. Our cultivation environment improved – the practitioners worked with one another, and did their best to validate the Fa and save people.
Police Chief Thanks a Practitioner
The police arrested and detained ten practitioners while they were out clarifying the truth to people. There was tremendous pressure on the practitioners who were not arrested. Most of us hid and stayed silent. I searched within and saw that I was selfish and afraid. Knowing that these notions didn’t come from my true self, I eliminated them so that I could rescue practitioners with a pure heart. Other practitioners’ issues were also mine, and I must go to the police station to rescue them.
I went to a diligent practitioner’s home because I wanted to talk to him about rescuing those practitioners. He was out of town. I didn’t waver and looked within, and found my notion of wanting to rely on others. I eliminated it, and asked Master to give me the wisdom I needed, knowing that it would be challenging to rescue practitioners and work with their families. I knew that Master arranged this opportunity for me to elevate my xinxing, become more resistant to stress, and break through human thinking. It was also time for me to act independently, develop good judgment and improve my problem-solving abilities.
Chang, a practitioner, came to help me at this key moment. We worked together to persuade the families of the ten practitioners to work with us in the rescue effort, and they all agreed.
The family members, Chang and I went to the police station. The police chief blocked us at the entrance and said aggressively, “What are you doing here?!” I said, “They want their families to come home. Don’t get upset. Let me explain why they are here. Falun Dafa practitioners are good people; they are good wives, mothers, husbands and fathers; they treat their elders with respect because they practice. Yet Jiang Zemin wouldn’t let them practice freely and launched a persecution in July 1999. The practitioners went out to speak to others about Falun Dafa and the unjust persecution because they wanted a stable cultivation environment. They didn’t want people to believe the lies told by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and commit unnecessary crimes – they are in fact saving people, including you. If everyone follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, there wouldn’t be criminals, isn’t this a good thing?” The chief stopped me from talking and said, “Go home. What happens to them depends on whether they cooperate.”
A week later the families and I went to the police station again. The police chief told us that the practitioners refused to cooperate or sign any documents. “They were transferred to the city detention center. You can go there to ask for them,” he said. I refused to do what he said.
I said, “You kidnapped them, and you should release them. You just want us to go away so you won’t be held responsible.” He told us to go home and said there was nothing he could do. I tried to clarify the truth to him, but he wouldn’t listen.
A day before I went with the families to the police station for the third time, I studied three chapters of Zhuan Falun. Strengthened by the Fa, I had strong righteous thoughts. We arrived at the police station at 7:30 a.m. and the police chief was having breakfast. While he finished eating, I sent a powerful thought, “Do not let him commit a crime, he has to listen to the truth. Master, please help me.”
The chief took us upstairs, where the deputy chief and several officers were waiting. A practitioner was there that day to send righteous thoughts while I talked to the police. The atmosphere was tense, and I believed that there was an intense battle between good and evil in other dimensions.
The chief wanted us to explain why we were there. I told him we wanted the practitioners to be released unconditionally. “They were incarcerated for over 20 days and their families and friends were worried sick. They all demanded the practitioners be released. Don’t incur public wrath. I am here today for your good.”
One of the officers said that the practitioners were against the CCP. I told him, “We’ve been here a few times, and never said anything that slandered the CCP. The practice has an amazing healing power and helps people to be good. Please do not defame Falun Dafa, a righteous and virtuous teaching, or you would be making a mistake.” He refuted me and said that Falun Dafa was a cult. I corrected him, “Falun Dafa is not on the list of cults announced by the Ministry of Public Security in 2000.”
The police chief took photos of me and recorded our conversation. I wasn’t bothered, because I knew I was there to help Master save them. “Chief, please call the city detention center and tell them that we’ll be there to pick up the practitioners.” He refused, saying that he would not go back on his evidence. “Besides, I don’t know where the detention center is. You guys went to Beijing in 1999, you surely can find your way to the city detention center. You’ve talked for 45 minutes. It’s almost 11 a.m. and we are about to get off work. Go home. I will talk to the supervisors and let you know if there is anything,” he said.
The deputy chief, family members and other officers all went downstairs, except for the chief and I. I wouldn’t leave unless he understood the facts. “Chief, I want you to know that you need to change your way of handling cases when it comes to Falun Dafa practitioners. God is watching everything we do; when you protect practitioners, you, your family and future generations will have enormous blessings. Choose wisely and your future will be bright. I sincerely want the best for you.”
Finally he told me, “I understand why you are here today.” He conjoined his palms in front of his chest to show his gratitude. A few days later, the police released the practitioners.
Prioritize Saving People
My mother was 93 years old when she slipped and broke her leg. My two nephews took her to the hospital. The doctor took care of the injury, prescribed some medicine and let her go home. “The recovery will be slow because of her old age,” he said.
After my oldest sister took care of our mother for a month, my older brother called a meeting with all four of us sisters. He said that we needed to take turns taking care of our mother, one month at a time. We all agreed, but I was worried, “If I have to come stay here for a month, what about the truth clarification work? I have to prioritize saving people and validating the Fa, but its also my responsibility to take care of my mother.” I asked Master for help.
At the moment my older nephew’s wife said, “You have a lot of other things to do. I will help take care of grandma for the month when it is your turn.” My younger nephew’s wife offered to help as well, “I can split with sister-in-law and take care of grandma. You just stop by and see us when you have time.” I felt relieved and grateful for Master’s help. Just then, my oldest sister stepped in and said to my nephews’ wives, “You are the younger generation, it should be the four of us grandma’s daughters taking care of her. I will help ten days for that month.” My second oldest sister said, “I will also help ten days for that month.” My sister-in-law spoke up, “I will help with the rest of the days.” Their kindness touched me, and I couldn’t thank them enough. That day, on my way home, I talked to and helped 19 people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I told my husband what happened that day, and he was very happy for me, “You can use the money you make to buy good food to share with them and nutritious supplements for your mother. I will support you.”
“Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Good People and Deserve Respect”
I am 72 years old and four generations of us live together. Ten people live under one roof. My husband is not a practitioner but often helps me with Dafa work. My daughter helps hand out truth-clarification materials. My grandson is a public servant, and runs a martial arts academy on the side. My granddaughter is now in college, is the head of the school’s athletic committee and the president of the student union. She’s sent Master greetings twice a year since she was ten, and she now practices too.
All of my family support my practice of Falun Dafa, and they often recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I often share with them Master’s new articles. People around us say that we are a perfect large family, and enjoy prosperity and blessings.
When I went to a market to tell people about Falun Dafa and why the persecution was wrong, a vendor told me, “I’ve observed Falun Dafa practitioners for years.” I asked what his conclusion was, and he said, “You are not picky buyers and never bargain or take advantage of others, and never cheat anyone. Falun Dafa practitioners are good people and deserve respect.”
