Eliminating My Human Attachments and Helping Master Save People

(Minghui.org) I’m in my 60s and I started practicing Falun Dafa in March 1998. I changed dramatically since then, and I’m no longer selfish. I’ve practiced Falun Dafa for 26 years under Master’s protection. I’d like to tell you about some of my experiences.

Obtaining the Book Zhuan Falun

My husband and I went to a town 10 km away to have our fortunes read. The fortune teller was not there when we arrived. My husband wanted to leave, but I suggested we return in the afternoon.

When we met the fortune teller he said he no longer told fortunes after he began practicing Falun Dafa. He told us some miraculous things that happened after he started cultivating, and showed me the book Zhuan Falun and Master’s portrait. I said excitingly, “I want to practice Falun Dafa too.” He told me someone near my home had the book.

I went back home and borrowed Zhuan Falun. I read it in one go. I thought, “This is a treasure, and talks about many things that one cannot find in other books. I can’t miss this opportunity. I want to practice Falun Dafa.”

The practitioner who lent me the book told me, “Some practitioners from a big city are coming here to tell people about Falun Dafa and teach us the exercises.” He said we might not have enough books to go around.

Everyone rushed to get a copy of the book. I thought, “You all go first. It would be good if I had one. If not, I’ll just wait for a while.” I sat there and did not move. The practitioner who distributed the books said, “Here is the last one, just for you.” I happily took the book and felt it was miraculous. After I cultivated for a while, I realized that Master arranged everything.

With a fellow practitioner’s help, we studied Fa (teachings) and did exercises in a classroom every evening. Soon, all my illnesses disappeared, including my stomach problems, migraine headaches, gynecological diseases, rheumatism, and breast hyperplasia. I felt joyful all day because I was immersed in Dafa.

Cultivate Firmly While Enduring Tribulations

Jiang Zemin, then head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), launched the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. I practiced alone at the time. I clarified the truth about the persecution, distributed informational materials, and made and posted posters. Because I didn’t truly cultivate my xinxing and I was too eager to do things, I was reported to the authorities and suffered various kinds of persecution. No matter what methods they used, my determination to cultivate never wavered.

My husband had a violent temper and objected to my cultivation. He often beat me and I was covered in bruises. Once, while he beat me, he said, “If you don’t give up cultivation, I’ll chop off your head.” He raised a kitchen knife and held it to my neck. I didn’t move. He threw the knife to the ground and burst into tears.

Another time, he told me to give up my practice after beating me. I replied firmly, “No way! I will practice Falun Dafa to the end.”

My husband defended me when people came to harass me. Agents from the 610 Office and the police were afraid of him.

I started by telling the truth about Falun Dafa to relatives, friends and neighbors. Next, I talked to my coworkers, and then to my students’ parents. Parents usually give teachers gifts. I did not accept any after I began practicing. I assured the parents that I would treat every student the same and do my best to help them. The parents said I was different from other teachers.

I went to a new school after the original school was combined with another. A parent told me at the parent-teacher meeting, “The children praise you. They say you never get angry. You are kind and don’t punish them. Other teachers slapped the children’s faces when they failed in their studies or made mistakes, and the students were terrified.” I took the opportunity to tell them about Dafa. Many parents quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Having Consideration for Others

A man in my area worked away from home for years. His neighbors thought he might be dead, since they hadn’t heard from him for over a decade. I thought to myself, “If he’s still alive, and hasn’t heard the truth about Dafa, what will happen to him? How can he be saved?”

He suddenly returned. The neighbors all talked about it. I saw him in a small town. Thinking it was Master’s arrangement, I told him about Dafa and asked him to withdraw from the CCP. He did it happily using a pseudonym. He left a few days later and hasn’t returned.

I was clarifying the truth to the owner of a pharmacy when a young man came and listened in. He said, “My mom also practices Falun Dafa and urged me to quit the Party. I told her she could practice it at home if she wanted to, but I won’t quit the CCP. I don’t want to be at odds with the Party.”

I explained, “People practice Falun Dafa because they want to be good. It can also resolve your illnesses and improve your health. The CCP staged the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident to incite hatred against Falun Dafa. Heaven will soon destroy the Party. Only by quitting the CCP can one stay safe.” I suggested a pseudonym for him. He readily agreed.

A coworker I hadn’t seen in over 30 years found me and asked me to provide a reference for him. I did and I clarified the truth to him. He said, “Someone spoke to me about this at the train station, but I didn’t quit the CCP. I might as well do it today. I joined the Youth League.” I was happy for him.

I met a woman from our village and clarified the truth to her. She said someone at the market told her about Dafa but she did not quit the CCP because she thought she was too old so it didn’t affect her. I explained why it was important to quit. She still declined.

I thought she was a predestined person, but she still did not quit the CCP after she heard the truth twice. I sent forth righteous thoughts, and asked Master for help. I brought some corn to her house to have it processed. I clarified the truth to her again, explaining that our ancestors believed good is rewarded and evil is punished. She understood and agreed to withdraw from the CCP.

There are many more examples like this. Every time I help someone withdraw from the Party, I thank Master in my heart, because I know he is the one who truly saves people.
