Shen Yun’s singers may not instruct non-company members in vocal technique, for two reasons. First, the singers themselves have yet to fully master the technique that I have been instructing them in, and some are still in the process of reworking their technique, in fact. Second, humanity’s moral values are in a troubled state, and with this change so too have been lost the divinely imparted artistic methods that were known to the classical past. (Truth be told, they have been withdrawn by the divine, as they are no longer allowed to be known by man.)

When someone takes what I have taught them for purposes of saving lives—methods not meant for just anyone—and instead uses them to make money, it constitutes a serious violation of our spiritual principles and community. Anyone found to be doing so must leave Shen Yun. And those who have studied under such individuals will not be given the opportunity to join Shen Yun; the things that they haphazardly learned would be hard to correct, particularly when spiritual transgressions were what led to the situation. The divine would not allow them to become a Shen Yun performer. And if it’s a Falun Dafa practitioner learning from the singer(s) I’ve described, this behavior amounts to abetting misconduct and undermining our practice. Everyone should be mindful not to support or enable such wrongdoing. I hereby make my stance clear.
