Refining Steel

(Minghui.org) I remembered reading an article about improving the purity of steel. Ordinary steel-making methods only burn off the impurities on the surface. In order to enhance the purity of steel, oxygen must be blown into the molten steel so fire can reach the inside the steel and burn off the impurities.

I discovered that the so-called cultivation path arranged by the old forces for Dafa disciples is very similar to the steel-refining process.

Old Force Arrangements

The persecution which began on July 20, 1999, was the fierce fire burning outside. However, fires in China cannot reach many Dafa practitioners overseas, who still hold on to their fundamental attachments like the impurities in molten steel.

The new universe is absolutely pure, and these impurities must be removed. The old forces have arranged the lawsuit against Shen Yun and Master Li in the United States of America to spread the fire and persecution to the overseas Dafa disciples. Let’s see how the old forces have arranged it.

First, the old forces arranged for some Dafa disciples to pass away, in the form of various illnesses. This is a massive test for those who came to cultivation to cure disease and improve health but have never understood the Fa from a Fa perspective. They came after seeing the practice’s healing power. Now that they see so many practitioners passing away from various “illnesses,” will they continue to cultivate?

Secondly, the old forces arranged for some influential practitioners to go to the opposite side in a high-profile manner. They act like catalysts mixed in molten steel that quickly burn up the impurities, those who have always watched and followed others’ practice without taking the Fa as their teacher, and for those who have always had trouble passing the tests, and are full of resentment.

Thirdly the Western media’s smear campaign and lawsuit against Shen Yun and Dafa installed fear among practitioners. In the eyes of the general public, those who are sued are usually the bad guys, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) used this psychology to discredit Dafa and Master’s reputations. Getting through such tribulations is challenging for those who are not true practitioners.

Fa Ordeals Brought on by Human Notions and Attachments

The old forces value only the personal cultivation of Dafa disciples, because their success in cultivation is directly related to their survival. Everything they arrange is to find those who are not true practitioners.

Master made it clear:

“I have said before that the goal of the old forces behind the persecution is to, through persecution, make Dafa disciples let go of their human attachments.” (Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day, Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XII)

The lawsuit and smear campaign directed at Shen Yun and Dafa can not destroy Dafa, and the old forces certainly know this. In preparation for the upcoming elimination, the old forces’ goal was to expose every practitioner’s true self. Some work hard to clarify the truth, while others are indifferent, and have aided and joined the CCP’s campaign.

The old forces have cultivated the CCP for nearly a century to persecute Dafa. Certain Western media outlets willingly working with the CCP is part of the persecution planned by the old forces for the end of the Fa-rectification.

It truly saddens me to see former “fellow practitioners” leave cultivation because of this tribulation. Cultivation is not a joke. It is not something that can be done by just hanging out together. Those who cannot cultivate according to the Fa, no matter how long they have practiced or how much they have done for Dafa, are deceiving others and harming themselves.

Those so-called disciples who agree with the evil, even just a little, are in danger, whether or not they speak or act on it. God looks at the heart. Therefore, this persecution is also a trial for those who have been confused and not diligent.

Dafa Disciples’ Responsibilities

Fa rectification is approaching an end, and in the limited time we have, how to most effectively explain the truth to more people has become an urgent matter for us.

I remember when the persecution began on July 20, 1999, and we didn’t know what to do. We later established many truth-clarification projects and set up media. Although we started from scratch and were very unprofessional, we knew what we had to do and did it precisely.

In this current persecution, the evil’s methods are different, but the idea is the same. They want to use rumors and slander to eliminate impurity among Dafa disciples and everyday people at the same time. As Dafa disciples, our task is the same as in the past: clarify the truth to the greatest extent possible and save sentient beings.

Meanwhile, we must seriously re-examine our understanding of the Fa. Why do we cultivate? For whom? Do we believe Dafa is righteous? These are the same questions many practitioners pondered after July 20, 1999.

The great Fa and this extraordinary historical moment have created great enlightened beings. Let us live up to the grand title of “Dafa disciples” and take righteous action, “The eons of hardship were all for this day!” (“All for This Day,” All Hong Yin III)
