Villagers Believe “Falun Dafa Is Good”

(Minghui.org) There is a Fa-study group of seven people in my area. We have been studying the Fa together every day since we started practicing Falun Dafa. We have never stopped, even when the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999. Each of our families has quite a bit of farmland to work, and some of us work side jobs as well. Now we are all in our 70s but are in good health because we practice Dafa. Others in the village envy us.

I have recorded the experiences of four practitioners in this group and how they have benefited from Dafa as a way to validate Falun Dafa.

Practitioner Shuping

My father practiced Taoism. In 1994, he told me, “Looking at the current situation, you can see that human morality is declining very fast. It has reached the end of the world. A great Buddha is coming to the world to save people. People all over the world will know that this great Buddha saves people with three words. From the celestial phenomenon, it seems that this great Buddha has come. Why haven’t we heard anything?” My father also said, “Sheep will eat people, but when that time comes, good men and women will get on the boat to escape the disaster.” After hearing what my father said, I was very confused. How can three words save people? Since ancient times, we have heard of wolves eating people, but we have never heard of sheep eating people. How does the Buddha’s boat know who is a good man and who is a good woman?

Falun Dafa was introduced in our village in 1996. I was fortunate to practice Falun Dafa and then I realized that the Buddha my father mentioned was our Master. The three words are “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” During the three-year COVID pandemic, many people died of the disease. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) imposed blockades everywhere, and people could not go to work as usual. As a result, companies, enterprises, and factories were forced to close, one after another, and China’s economy declined rapidly. Many people lost their jobs, and it was very difficult to find another one. Now I understand that this is what my father said about “sheep“ eating people. “Sheep“ (which is “yang” in Chinese) is a homophone for “yang” (meaning “positive” in Chinese), which means that people lost their lives when they tested “positive” for COVID-19. “Good men and women boarded the boat to escape the disaster” means that only those who believe “Falun Dafa is good“ can survive and board the Fa boat.

Let me tell about a time when I passed a xinxing test. Last December, my daughter came to visit with her child. She told her father (my husband) that she’d had a conflict with her husband and he wanted to divorce her. That upset me, and I thought to myself, “When my daughter married you, you had no house and no job. We spent a lot of money to help you. You raised cattle and built a house. Your lives improved. Now you want to divorce my daughter.” The more I thought about it, the angrier I became. While doing the Dafa exercises, I was still thinking about it. Then something Master said came to my mind: “When your friends or family suffer, are you moved?” (Lecture Eight, Zhuan Falun)

I realized that everyone has their own destiny and that I should not be attached, so I let it go. After my daughter went home, my son-in-law no longer mentioned divorce, and the couple reconciled. Imagine if I hadn’t practiced Dafa cultivation, I wouldn’t have let go of my complaining heart so quickly.

Another thing that showed the extraordinary power of Dafa to me was when a family in the village wanted to re-do the wiring in their home. My husband was called over to help because he was an electrician. After my husband left, I picked up a Minghui Weekly to read. Suddenly, my hands started shaking so hard that I could hardly hold it. I was panicked, my heart started to pound, and I became dizzy. My heart jumped into my throat as a sense of terror enveloped me. I thought that the evil was coming to take my life. I kept reciting the verses for sending righteous thoughts and “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and at the same time asked Master to save me. About 10 minutes later, everything returned to normal.

Practitioner Bojun

Not long after I started practicing Falun Dafa, I went to the mountains to cut own trees for firewood and got a thorn stuck in the palm of my hand. I tried to pull it out, but it broke, leaving a small fragment behind. There was nothing to grab onto when I tried to pull it out. I pushed one side and the thorn moved to the other side. I pushed the other side and the thorn moved back. I just couldn’t get it out of my palm, so I simply ignored it and went on with what I had to do. I don’t know when it healed but it did. On the surface, I could only feel an indistinct lump when I touched it.

One day, I felt a little pain in the bend of my left leg as I was weeding in the field. I sat down and felt a lump as big as a child’s fist in the bend of my leg. A doctor from my township hospital happened to be passing by, so I asked him to look at it. He said, “It’s a cyst. When you have time, I will remove it for you.” I was worried, so I asked another doctor in my village to take a look. He also said it was a cyst and suggested that I go to the township hospital to see about it. A few days later, a relative took me to the township hospital. The doctor there also said it was a cyst and wanted to remove it for me. I thought it didn’t hurt much anyway, so I didn’t let the doctor remove it. After returning home, I studied the Fa and did the exercises with all my heart, and the cyst disappeared without me noticing.

One night, I had just laid down when I suddenly had a severe toothache. I couldn’t lie down or stand. It was unbearable, so I said to Master, “Master, I have to get up early tomorrow to do the exercises. If the pain continues like this, how can I do the exercises tomorrow? Please help me, Master.“ As soon as I finished speaking, the toothache stopped. More than 10 years have passed since then, and my tooth has not hurt since.

Practitioner Caiwen

One afternoon, I suddenly felt a tightness and pain in my chest. I also felt a severe pain in the left half of the back of my head. I said to the painful area, “I will bear what I should, but I will not bear what I should not bear. What’s more, I will firmly eliminate it. Because whatever persecutes me persecutes Dafa.” So I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate it. The next day, I was fine.

My family is building a house. Most people in my village go to the mountains to steal wood when they build houses. I am a Dafa cultivator now, so I absolutely cannot do such a thing. Because I am the village electrician, people come to me when they have electrical problems. Of course, I usually help out on a voluntary basis, and the villagers respect me. When someone knew that I was building a house, they said, “Other people steal wood, why don’t you?”

I answered, “Because I cultivate Falun Dafa. Dafa’s Master teaches us to be good people. Good people should not do things that they should not do.”

Many people said to me, “You don’t have to show up. We will help you.”

I firmly refused their idea. Although people said I was stupid, in their hearts they admired the noble behavior of Dafa practitioners.

Practitioner Yan

My husband and I practice Falun Dafa, and my son was always very supportive, so he was blesed. One day, my son was driving a vehicle fully loaded with corn stalks. His vehicle accidentally veered off a cliff that was taller than a house. The front of the vehicle plunged over the cliff, and the entire vehicle ended up sideways against the cliff face. Miraculously, my son’s ankle was only slightly bruised by the brake peddle. He came home and drove my tricycle to the village to ask for help to pull the vehicle back on the road. The people who helped him looked at the height from where the vehicle came off the road, and were all surprised to see my son was still able to drive a tricycle. One person blurted out, “This is the kind of person who practices Buddhism!”

The above examples have been passed on by word of mouth among the villagers, and almost everyone knows them. Villagers have commented, “Falun Dafa is good.”
