Thoughts After Reading the Special Report “Our Master”

(Minghui.org) As soon as I saw the title of the special report “Our Master” on the Minghui website, I started to cry. In the article, the author asked Master Li his thoughts on the operations of Shen Yun and Fei Tian, about his daily life, how he takes care of the students in Fei Tian, how he spread the teachings of Falun Dafa in China back in the early days, and how he ended up in the U.S.

During the past 25 years of the persecution, Master has never said anything publicly, except for giving lectures to his disciples and publishing articles on Minghui.org. The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) attack on Master and Shen Yun propelled this low-key person to the center of the world stage.

As a disciple who’s never met Master, I only knew him through his teachings. I was still a student when I learned Falun Dafa in 1996. I had little real-world experience, and the way I looked at things was narrow, self-centered, and overly idealized. In other words, I wasn’t a good judge of character.

The toxic CCP culture hindered the progress of my cultivation—I had many degenerate notions and couldn’t study the teachings with an upright mind. I always questioned Master in my mind and thought an enlightened being in the secular world should act a certain way and dress and eat and behave differently from ordinary people. Looking back, this notion originated from my limited understanding based on previous cultivation methods.

After reading the special report, my perceptions changed. I have no more doubts about Master and the Fa and am clearheaded. This time, Master has taught me through his actions. I understand how an enlightened being carries himself in this world; my mind is no longer irrationally yearning for supernormal things. My faith in Master has strengthened, and I can see things through the lens of Falun Dafa’s teachings.
