(Minghui.org) Ms. Yin Minghua from Yantai City, Shandong Province has remained in detention since her arrest about three months ago for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999. Two of Ms. Yin’s friends and her daughter were arrested on April 12, 2024 when they asked that she be released.

Officer Ding Zhitao (+86-18660062439) from the Haduihouhaian Police Station and a few others broke into Ms. Yin’s home on the evening of January 21, 2024 and arrested her. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and took her to the Yantai City Detention Center.

The police promised to release Ms. Yin after 15 days of administrative detention but they did not. Her family hired a lawyer to represent her. The lawyer submitted a request to the police station and its supervising agency, the Mouping District Police Department, to have her case dismissed. The two police agencies never responded, and Ms. Yin’s two daughters and two friends (Wang Huawei and Wang Junheng, genders unknown) then went to the police station on April 12, 2024 to seek her release.

The two friends, both Falun Gong practitioners, and Ms. Yin’s younger daughter, who does not practice Falun Gong, were arrested on the spot and taken to different detention facilities.

Ms. Yin’s older daughter, who practices Falun Gong, did not return home from the police station. Her family suspect that she might have also been arrested at the police station.
