(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Yong Faces Second Trial
6. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Zhen Held in Brainwashing Center
7. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shuli Arrested
8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Du Xiuyan Arrested
9. [Luotian County, Hubei Province] Ms. Tang Chunzhi and Ms. Chen Fengyun Arrested
1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Shi Zhenjiang and Mr. He Shiguo Sentenced
Mr. Shi Zhenjiang is a resident of Handan City’s Yongnian District. He was arrested when he distributed Falun Gong flyers by officers from the Wutong Police Station in Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. He was recently sentenced to a year in prison, and is incarcerated in the Zhejiang 4th Prison.
Mr. He Shiguo lives in Beihujia Village, Xiaolongma Township, Yongnian District. He was arrested by officers from Handan Domestic Security Division and the Yongnian Domestic Security Division on April 29, 2023. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, and is incarcerated in Jidong Prison in Tangshan City.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Jinghui Detained
Ms. Chen Jinghui, 55, was arrested at her parents’ home in the Erdao District in mid-March 2024. She is being held in the Changchun City First Detention Center.
3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Shigang Detained
Mr. Li Shigang was arrested in March 2024. He was released after he was detained for 15 days.
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Sun Lihua Detained
Ms. Sun Lihua distributed Falun Gong flyers in her neighborhood on April 3, 2024. Someone followed her to her home. Officers from the Xinghua Neighborhood Police Station arrested her, ransacked the place, and seized her copy of Zhuan Falun, a radio, and other items. She was subjected to 10 days detention and is held in the Taiyuan City Detention Center.
5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Yong Faces Second Trial
Mr. Yang Yong was tried in the Tianqiao District Court on the morning of April 7, 2024. The police witness statement was inconsistent with the facts. The court returned the case to the procuratorate for additional information. Mr. Yang’s attorney received court notification on April 10 that the court scheduled the next trial for April 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
6. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Zhen Held in Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wang Zhen, 45, a resident of Shaoguan City, was arrested and put into a detention center for no reason by Guangzhou City’s Baiyun District police in early April 2024. Shaoguan police transferred her to a brainwashing center in Shaoguan on April 7, 2024.
7. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shuli Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shuli was arrested at her home by officers from the Nong’an County Domestic Security Division on March 4, 2024.
8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Du Xiuyan Arrested
Ms. Du Xiuyan from the Acheng District, was secretly arrested by officers from the Acheng District Domestic Security Division in early April 2024.
9. [Luotian County, Hubei Province] Ms. Tang Chunzhi and Ms. Chen Fengyun Arrested
Ms. Tang Chunzhi and Ms. Chen Fengyun talked to a student about the persecution of Falun Gong on March 19, 2024. The student reported them. They were arrested by school security and Domestic Security Division officers. They were taken to police department for questioning and a police report. Their homes were ransacked. Police seized five Falun Gong books from Ms. Tang’s home. They were released after 6:00 p.m.
