(Minghui.org) Ms. Zeng Chongsu, 69, lives with her son’s family in Beigu Township, Suining City, Sichuan Province. She was harassed twice in two hours on March 13, 2024 for her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.

The first harassment episode happened a bit past 1 p.m. that day. A plainclothes officer showed up and said he was surnamed Xiao and from the Beigu Township Police Station.

He asked Ms. Zeng to close the door so that he could talk to her about “Falun Gong stuff.” She refused, as there was nothing to hide about being a Falun Gong practitioner.

Xiao then “coached” her, “As I videotape you, just follow me to say that ‘I will no longer practice Falun Gong and Falun Gong is a cult organization.’ Then after I leave, you could simply nullify what you were recorded saying and I would not mind a bit. The tape of your saying what I asked you to say would be enough to remove you from the list [of Falun Gong practitioners to be harassed]. And you would not have to worry about your grandson’s schooling [being affected by your faith].”

Ms. Zeng refused to comply and stopped Xiao from videotaping or taking pictures of her. She also told him that she would never betray Falun Gong, which gave her good health.

Xiao left. Two hours later, his police station sent in three community workers to harass Ms. Zeng. A tall woman whipped out her cell phone to take pictures of Ms. Zeng, but was stopped by the latter. Another worker said their task was to get Ms. Zeng’s pictures.

The tall woman repeated what Xiao “coached” Ms. Zeng to say earlier that afternoon.

Ms. Zeng said that Falun Gong teaches its students to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and is an upright practice. She pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party is the actual cult organization that targets law-abiding citizens who simply want to practice their faith.

The three workers then left.
