(Minghui.org) Not long ago, more than 20 local Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested, along with some of their family members. Although most of the non-practitioner family members and elderly practitioners were released the same day, over ten practitioners remained in custody. We worked with the practitioners’ families to rescue them and took the opportunity to clarify the facts to the police and judiciary officials. With Master’s protection and practitioners’ righteous thoughts, all of the practitioners were released shortly afterwards.

I’d like to share some examples of how we patiently and persistently worked with the family members of some of the detained practitioners.

Meng and Nan, a Young Married Couple

The arrested practitioners included a young couple, Meng and his wife Nan. We visited Meng’s parents first. His father is paralyzed from a stroke, so we tried to persuade his mother to go to the police station to seek Meng’s release. She didn’t support Meng’s practicing Dafa and didn’t want to get involved, so we thanked her and left.

Other practitioners went to Meng’s workplace to get help from his manager. His manager valued Meng’s performance at work highly and understood how Falun Dafa had changed him into a better person. He promised to help Meng whenever he could.

Two weeks later, we went back to see Meng’s mother and tried to kindly persuade her again to help. This time, she was touched and agreed to hire a lawyer to help. Soon after, we heard that Meng had been released. We were all encouraged by this positive development.

We also visited Nan’s parents, but her father seemed helpless in the face of the persecution. He didn’t have much hope that we could pursue justice anywhere. We didn’t give up and told him that his daughter didn’t do anything wrong in practicing her faith and that it was the government officials who violated the law by persecuting her. He was encouraged by this and agreed to work with us to rescue Nan.

Nan’s father was elderly and in poor health, so we had mixed feelings when he came with us on the bus to the police station. If the persecution hadn’t happened, he would be enjoying life at his current age. But he told us that he felt touched to see us caring so much about his daughter and he decided to do something as well.

He also faced pressure from other family members, who urged him to report us to the police. He withstood the pressure and agreed to hire a lawyer to visit Nan in the detention center. When the police heard about it, they were scared and harassed him, asking who had helped him hire the lawyer. He didn’t give in. In the end, Nan was released as well.

Practitioner Wen

Practitioner Wen held a hunger strike in the detention center to protest the persecution. The guards tried to force-feed her, but she protested so strongly that they gave up. We talked to Wen’s husband and told him how the police violated the law by arresting her. He understood but didn’t know how he could help. We suggested he hire a lawyer for her and he agreed. We found a lawyer, but at the last minute, Wen’s husband backed out of signing the contract. We tried to persuade him, but he insisted that he didn’t want a lawyer. However, three days later, he called us to ask for our help to find a lawyer. We didn’t get upset about his indecision, but helped him with a positive attitude.

Some days later, we suggested that he go to the police station to ask for Wen’s release. He told us he didn’t feel comfortable doing that because he didn’t want to face the police by himself. We encouraged him and said we could go with him when he made the trip, so he finally agreed.

After we left, we discussed who should go with him to the police station, since it would be best that it not be someone on the police’s blacklist. Some practitioners had become fearful after the arrests and they didn’t actively participate in the rescue effort, so it was hard to think of a suitable person. Then someone thought of a young practitioner, Jian, who wasn’t known to the police. We asked Jian and he readily agreed. We thanked Master for this arrangement.

The next day, Jian went with Wen’s husband to the police station. The police asked many challenging questions, but Jian handled them well. That evening, Wen’s husband got a call from the police, asking him to return to their office to sign Wen’s bail release paperwork. Soon after that, Wen returned home.

Practitioner Qiang and His Parents

There was also a family of three who were seized during the group arrest. The parents were put in criminal detention. Their son, Qiang, was given administrative detention. We worked with Qiang’s wife and sister to try to find a lawyer to represent their family. But unlike other cases where we quickly found a lawyer, this time the local lawyers were hesitant to take up the case, citing obstruction from the local justice bureau that barred them from representing Falun Dafa practitioners. Qiang’s wife didn’t support the family’s Falun Dafa practice and was quite resentful about this ordeal. We weren’t discouraged by her attitude and continued to think of ways to rescue them. Ten days later, Qiang was released.

After giving Qiang a short break to recover from being detained, we asked him to visit the police and ask them to release his parents. The first time he went, the police had a good attitude, but insisted that it was impossible for them to release Qiang’s parents. The second time Qiang went, the police got angry and Qiang couldn’t have a civil conversation with them.

We discussed the situation with Qiang and suggested that it might be best if he filed a complaint against the police. He told us that he was under enormous pressure, as he had just been released himself. He was also worried that his actions would cause the police to persecute his parents even more. We encouraged him and eventually he agreed to file the complaints.

Qiang first submitted the complaints to the local procuratorate. They didn’t dare accept it, so he submitted it online and also mailed the materials. Just as he was about to submit the materials to the court, the police called and said that they would release his parents on bail soon.

All of these practitioners mentioned above were released, along with most of the other detained practitioners shortly afterwards.

Throughout the rescue process, we constantly felt Master’s presence. Every bit of progress we made was due to Master’s care and protection. It’s Master who does everything and we are so grateful for Master’s help!
