Practitioner’s Husband Is Grateful for Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) I retired from a state-owned enterprise, and my wife works in the same department. She began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997, and that is when I came into contact with this cultivation practice.

We were 34 and 35 years old in 1997. Dafa was becoming popular in China and spreading around the world. Many locals learned the practice for health and fitness. After reading the Falun Dafa books, my wife said, “Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, is saving people. I want to practice.” She’s been practicing since then.

My wife is attractive, has a good job, and is well educated. She was pretentious, arrogant, and considered everyone beneath her. She hardly smiled, wasn’t well-liked at home or at work, and often argued and quarreled with others. But Dafa changed her. She became kind and cheerful and learned to be humble and tolerant of others.

I was young and liked to play. I didn’t go home after work, and didn’t fulfill my responsibilities as a husband. We frequently argued and she wanted to divorce me. After she began practicing she told me, “I won’t divorce you because we are predestined to be husband and wife. I’ll follow Master’s teachings and cherish our relationship.” She became considerate and gentle, and seldom quarreled with me.

Her transformation affected me. I gradually spent more time at home, helped with the housework, and the atmosphere at home improved.

I witnessed some amazing things when my wife first began to practice Falun Dafa. She went out to do the exercises one morning at around 4 a.m. I was lying in bed and the room was still dark. I then saw a figure who looked like Master’s photo on the wall. He sat with his legs crossed, hovered in front of me, and pointed at me and smiled.

I wasn’t scared and wondered if it was a dream. I rubbed my eyes and looked again, the figure was there for another minute. I didn’t tell my wife when she came home.

Another strange thing happened a few days later. My wife went to do the exercises at 4 a.m.. I was lying in bed with my eyes open, and saw a bunch of copper coins flying out from between my eyebrows. It lasted for a minute or two before disappearing.

I thought it could have something to do with Falun Dafa, thus I wanted to learn more about it. It just so happened that a coworker from another department was a practitioner, and asked what I did in my spare time. I said I liked to read. She handed me a book and said, “I’d like to share a good book with you.” I looked at it and it was Zhuan Falun.

I read Zhuan Falun whenever I had time. I no longer had a headache and numbness feeling after two months (they were the result of a motorcycle accident). Master took care of me after I read Zhuan Falun. That was truly incredible!

When Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), began the persecution in July 1999, my wife believed in Dafa instead of the CCP’s disinformation. Whenever the department head or the Domestic Security police talked to my wife, she told them, “Dafa gave me health, explained to me the heavenly principles of karma and retribution, and taught me to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to live my life and be a good person. I won’t give up the practice. The CCP’s propaganda about Falun Dafa is false and fabricated.”

The department head and the police couldn’t convince my wife because they knew that she was right. Due to the pressure from their supervisors, they came to me and wanted me to persuade her to renounce the practice. Although I told them about the positive experiences she’s had, I didn’t tell them that I thought Falun Dafa was good.

My wife has been practicing for more than 20 years. Although I haven’t done the exercises on a daily basis, I often read Dafa books and follow Master’s teachings to be a good person. I also try my best to help with anything that is needed for Dafa projects.

My wife and I are in good health and we don’t take any medication. Our routine physical checks at work are the best among people of our age group.

I am grateful for the blessings Master gave to our family. I will work with my wife to fulfill the sacred mission of assisting Master in Fa-rectification.
