Some Thoughts About Distributing Truth-clarification Calendars in Rural Areas

(Minghui.org) Several of us have been distributing truth-clarification calendars in countryside townships and villages for years. We chose the rural places because there are more practitioners in the central areas. We have some thoughts and sharing based on our experiences in the past few years.

It Is Important to Reach as Many People as Possible in Rural Places

There are fewer practitioners in the nearby rural areas, and even none in some townships. Thus, the people living there can only learn the truth through the materials that practitioners bring there, or they could learn the truth when the practitioners talked to them face to face. Some villagers are illiterate, and it has been more difficult for them to learn the truth.

Some days ago, CCP agents misled people through WeChat (the most popular social media platform inside China) with a message that slandered Dafa and asked people to sign some documents. When we went to the rural places to distribute calendars a few days ago, we could tell that the minds of the villagers who had talked to us before were not poisoned. When they saw us holding the calendars, they would approach us to get a copy, and ask if we had books and other materials. They would accept whatever we gave them, and some who hadn’t quit the CCP and its youth organizations in the past would agree to quit.

Others, who had not encountered practitioners before, had different reactions. Some would not respond to us, some would refuse to take the calendars, and only very few would quit the CCP after we patiently explained the truth to them. Some others would become furious and repeat the words the CCP said. It’s because we didn’t do well before. We didn’t have enough contact with them, and didn’t create good opportunities to clarify the truth to them.

If we want people to understand the truth, we should go find them and bring to them the benevolence of Dafa.

Distributing the Calendars Every Year Is a Good Opportunity to Clarify the Truth

After the busy farming season in the fall, the villagers (farmers) would have more time resting at home. Many villagers, normally dozens of people, would gather from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day, bask in the sun and chat with each other.

People like our calendars. Giving them the calendars can help them understand the truth and make it easier to save them. When we were distributing the calendars, we would usually explain what Falun Dafa is, its spread throughout the world, and cases of people who have benefited from practicing Dafa. The villagers would usually look through the calendars after receiving them. At that point, we would take the opportunity to persuade them to quit the CCP organizations and answer their questions. With the elegant calendars in hand, it is easier for them to quit the CCP.

We have realized that clarifying the truth face to face can truly clean up people’s concerns, worries, and doubts. Our enthusiasm, kindness, selflessness, speech and behavior, and spiritual state are all elements that help validate Dafa and clarify the truth to people. These elements can impress people and help them understand the truth, help them distinguish right from wrong, and get rid of the CCP's lies.

During the pandemic, we went to a village to distribute the calendars, and people were still busy with the harvest. We couldn’t enter the village due to the lockdown, so we went to the fields to distribute the calendars to those who were working there. Some people who were harvesting corn shouted to us when we were still far away and asked us to quickly bring them the calendars. When we walked up, they said, “Thank you for your hard work! You walked a long distance and brought the calendars here to our field. You are really good people!”

When I was clarifying the truth to them, I put the calendars into different bags so that they could easily carry them home. Looking at their faces covered with sweat and dust, I said, “You must have been working really hard this year!” They said, “You also have been working hard.” One of them said, “We work hard for ourselves, you work hard for others, our realm is far below yours.” Their words really touched me. I thanked them and reminded them to often recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” After we had walked far away from them, they still shouted, “Falun Dafa is good.” “Please be careful when it comes to your safety.”

People are waiting for us to save them. Since there are still townships and villages without many local practitioners, we will try our best to cover more areas in the future.
