Rally in Indonesia Calls for an End to the CCP’s Persecution of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) On December 14, 2024, Falun Gong practitioners in Jakarta commemorated International Human Rights Day by holding an event at the busy intersection of Thamrin and Merdeka Barat Streets in the center of the city. They called for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to end the persecution of Falun Gong.

Many people were handed informational flyers about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Police officers on duty provided security during the event.

Rally in the center of Jakarta called for freedom for Falun Gong practitioners in China.

During the rally, a spokesperson for the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association talked about the CCP’s human rights violations. “First of all, everyone should have the most basic right—to live with dignity. Second is the freedom of belief and third is the freedom to practice Falun Gong [also known as Falun Dafa]. All of these basic human rights are actually guaranteed and protected by the Chinese Constitution, but the Chinese communist regime violates and suppresses them.

“As we commemorate Human Rights Day, 42 members of the national and provincial House of Representatives in various regions of Indonesia voiced their support for an immediate end to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong in China.”

Atjeng said that all the perpetrators involved in illegal organ transplants must be punished.

Atjeng, who is from Jakarta, stood and watched the rally. “Communism is very cruel!” he said. “Such crimes against humanity [organ harvesting] must be stopped immediately! All perpetrators involved must be punished!”
