(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Yuzhen Appeals a 1.5-Year Prison Term
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Zhanhua Arrested and Ms. Zhang Deying Missing
3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Liangying Harassed
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Deng Huacheng Harassed
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Chunmei Persecuted in Prison
1. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Yuzhen Appeals a 1.5-Year Prison Term
Ms. Zhang Yuzhen was arrested on February 28, 2024, and has been held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center ever since. She was sentenced to one year and six months in prison by the Xixia District Court on October 28, 2024. She filed an appeal with the Yinchuan City Intermediate Court on December 3, 2024, and the case was accepted on December 5, 2024.
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Zhanhua Arrested and Ms. Zhang Deying Missing
Ms. Shi Zhanhua from the Shizhong District was arrested on the morning of December 2, 2024, and is being held in the Zhonggong Detention Center. Her family has not been allowed to visit her.
Ms. Zhang Deying is missing.
3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Liangying Harassed
Ms. Zhou Liangying was harassed at home by Li Yuangang, director of Baihe Community, and Huang Yuanqing, building manager, on the afternoon of November 26, 2024. They took photos of her without her permission.
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Deng Huacheng Harassed
Yongchuan District Police Department officers harassed Ms. Deng Huacheng on the morning of November 18, 2024, and attempted to take her for a physical exam. After she refused to comply, they called her daughter and ordered her to take her mother to the hospital. Even though her systolic blood pressure was over 230 mmHg, the police still tried to take Ms. Deng to the detention center next day. She refused to go with them and fainted. The police relented and left.
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Chunmei Persecuted in Prison
Ms. Jiang Chunmei was admitted to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on December 25, 2023. She has been subjected to intensive brainwashing in the strict management team. Because both her husband and son are dead due to the persecution, no direct family member can make a cash deposit to her commissary account for her to buy daily necessities. It is reported that she does work for the inmates in the cell to earn money.
