(Minghui.org) I once heard some older practitioners making statements like, “I am getting older, and my memory is declining.” In my opinion, they are judging things with human thinking.

We are Dafa disciples walking on the path towards divinity and cultivating to transcend the three realms. But if we study the Fa without cultivating ourselves and improving our xinxing, we may not be able to experience the boundless power of the Fa.

Master has told us again and again in the Fa teachings about the importance of studying the Fa. Only when we understand the Fa well can we walk our cultivation path well and not be interfered with by the old forces. And only through solid understanding of the Fa can we fulfill our responsibilities in the Fa-rectification and reach consummation.

Master taught us,

“As for you, disciples of Dafa, the closer it gets to the end the better you should walk your paths, seizing the day to cultivate yourselves well.”

“You must study the Fa well, for that is the fundamental guarantee that you return to your position.” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume XI)

“Dafa disciples have to cultivate on the basis of the Fa and do the three things of Dafa disciples well, and only then can one walk one’s path correctly and wash oneself clean of the times when one fell short.” (“2012 International Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XII)

When we study the Fa well and keep it in mind, we are able to use it to measure every thought we have. We can then rectify anything incorrect, especially the notions deeply ingrained in us since childhood, such as bad habits, a hot temper, selfishness, greed, and other desires.

We must be clear that Dafa cultivation has serious and strict requirements, and time is limited. Changing our human hearts and selfish human thoughts is an arduous process of transformation. Only by keeping the Fa teachings in mind, being strict with ourselves, and taking cultivation seriously can we make it with the guidance of the Fa.
