(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. By incorporating the principles into daily life and doing the five sets of slow-moving exercises, countless numbers of practitioners have elevated their moral character and improved their health.

Below, three elderly practitioners who live outside of China share the benefits they’ve received from practicing Falun Dafa.

First Practitioner Recovered from Stoke After a Month

I am 67 and started practicing Falun Dafa in February 2016. Before this, I had a stroke and had coronary artery bypass surgery. My family had to take care of me as I was very weak.

After someone handed me a Falun Dafa flyer, I became interested in learning the practice. I contacted the person on the flyer and got the address of a practitioner who lived near me.

Initially, my family took me to a Fa-study group. But Dafa is so powerful, that after attending the Fa-study group for just a week I could ride my bicycle there by myself. I stopped taking all medication a month later and fully recovered my health. I could now do household chores and even carry a big pail of water to the third floor.

During the pandemic, everyone in my family became infected with COVID-19. They didn’t recover despite taking medication for a month. However, my test results remained negative and I didn’t have any symptoms or discomfort. Everyone witnessed the miraculous power of Dafa.

I said to my children, “I am very healthy because I practice Falun Dafa.” They agreed that this must be true.

My son, who previously did not support me in practicing Dafa, now urges my husband to practice Falun Dafa with me.

Second Practitioner Sees Amazing Things Happen When Cultivating Solidly

I am 71 and have been practicing Falun Dafa for more than seven years. Previously, I suffered from many diseases that affected my liver, stomach, colon, and heart, and had insomnia and spinal pain. Though I worked in the biggest hospital in the province and could receive various treatments, I continued to look for other healing methods including Western medicine, Chinese medicine, yoga, and physical therapy. But no matter what I tried, my health did not improve.

When a relative visited me, she introduced Falun Dafa to me and gave me a copy of the book, Zhuan Falun, the main text of the practice, and a copy of the exercise tape.

Initially, I didn’t believe that practicing Falun Dafa could help me become healthy. However, I noticed that she had changed from an underweight person with a dark skin tone to someone who looked very healthy. I decided to give it a try.

After some time, my ailments disappeared and I no longer had to take any medicine.

One day, I fell and broke one of my ribs. I continued to do the exercises despite the pain and completely recovered by the third day.

There is a couple living in my district. The wife suffers from pain in her joints. She could not walk and had to crawl to get around. I introduced Dafa to her. She read the books and also did the exercises. After some time, she could walk again and is very grateful to Master Li, the founder and teacher of Falun Dafa.

Third Practitioner Sets Up a Practice Site Under Master’s Care

I am 74 and have been practicing Falun Dafa for eight years. When I visited my older sister in early 2015, she introduced Dafa to me, after seeing that I suffered from so many illnesses. She gave me the book Zhuan Falun and taught me the five sets of exercises the next day.

After doing the exercises with local practitioners for a week, the numbness in my hands and feet and the pain in my spine were completely gone. I could walk faster and felt no discomfort.

My sister gave me some Falun Dafa books, audio recordings of Master’s lectures, and a CD of the exercise music.

When I returned home, my neighbors saw the huge changes in me—I was healthy and my skin glowed. They asked where I had been and what happened to make such changes occur. I told them that I went to my sister’s house for a week and while there started practicing Falun Dafa with her.

When the neighbors asked me about Falun Dafa, I played the recordings of Master’s lectures and the exercise music. More than ten people came to my home at one time or another. After seeing that it was easy to learn the exercises, these people started coming to my home every day to study the Fa and do the exercises together.
