(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities at Plaza Cataluña in Barcelona, Spain on June 10, 2023, to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual practice. Many people stopped to talk with them and learn about Falun Dafa. They supported practitioners by signing a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
Barcelona is a popular tourist destination that attracts people from other cities in Spain and from all over the world. Many people who signed the petition came from different backgrounds. Some were local residents, while others were tourists from other countries or cities in Spain.
A petition letter for the Congress of Deputies of Spain was placed at the practitioners’ informational booth. The letter asked the Spanish Congress to condemn the CCP’s persecution and to investigate the disappearance of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. Many of these disappearances are linked to CCP’s forced live organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.

As part of the event, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. The soothing music drew passersby, who stopped to learn more about the practice. Many expressed their support for practitioners and were shocked to learn that the CCP harvests organs from living practitioners as part of the persecution.
Susana signed the petition to end the persecution of Falun Dafa.
As soon as Susana learned the extent of the persecution, she signed the petition to help end it. She said that Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance bring peace to humanity and that everyone should learn more about it. She was shocked to learn about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. “This is unbelievable,” she said.
Julio said he supports practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.
Julio from Barcelona was shocked to learn that the CCP’s persecution exists in modern society. He said that practitioners are only improving their personal morals and character, and they should not be persecuted or denied freedom to practice Falun Dafa. “I think the event today is great because it exposes many truths that people do not know about. This is very good. Thank you,” Julio said.
Ana signed the petition to help end the persecution.
Ana is from another country but lives in Barcelona. She was shocked to hear that the media has remained silent about the persecution. Given the overwhelming evidence of the CCP’s live organ harvesting, Ana has no doubt that the atrocities are real and happening.
She also condemned the persecution of spirituality by the atheist CCP. She said, “The state, institution and administration entities want human beings to lose their connection with spirituality so that the CCP can force its control over the population. This is a way to rule the masses.”
Mauricio from Argentina learned about Falun Dafa.
Mauricio from Argentina said he was attracted to practitioners’ exercise music. He was amazed to learn that Falun Dafa is also widely practiced in his country. He said, “We have to stop this persecution and get involved by letting people know about it, because few people know the truth.” He also signed the petition.
Three young women–Elisabeth, Nieves, Camila–talked with practitioners. Elisabeth said she learned of the CCP’s persecution of ethnic minorities in school but had never heard about Falun Dafa. The three women supported practitioners’ persistence in their belief and signed the petition.
Camila said, “Everyone should be able to chose their faith. No one should force anything on anyone.”
