(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 41 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Deying and Ms. Shi Zhanhua Face Trial

It was reported that the Changqing District Procuratorate brought up charges against Ms. Zhang Deying and Ms. Shi Zhanhua to the Changqing District Court. The two practitioners are facing trial.

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Shi were followed and arrested by officers from the Xinglong Police Station in the Shizhong District while distributing Falun Gong materials in a residential community on July 6, 2020. Their homes were ransacked. During the interrogation in the police station, both practitioners were handcuffed to iron chairs. They were released at midnight on July 8.

2. [Lingwu City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Yan Ying Taken to Prison

Ms. Yan Ying from Lingwu Farm was arrested at home by officers from the Litong District Domestic Security Division in Wuzhong City on June 7, 2022.

She was first detained in the Yanchi County Detention Center for 14 days, and then transferred to the Wuzhong City Detention Center for 14 days. She was taken to the Ningxia Women’s Prison in early July.

3. [Daan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Cai’s Wife and Ms. Li Yanqiu Arrested

Four officers arrested Mr. Wang Cai’s wife in the Wangjiahuapu community around 9 a.m. on July 15, 2022. The officers said someone reported on her.

Ms. Li Yanqiu was arrested by four officers from the Huiyang Police Station around 10 a.m. on July 15 on the grounds that she needed to verify some issues.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Jin Gang Arrested

Mr. Jin Gang, of Hui nationality, was reported to the police when he clarified the truth to people. His whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Jia Huanhuan Arrested

Jia Huanhuan (gender unknown) from Zhonglizhuang Village, Ronghe Town, Wanrong County, was arrested by unknown persons on June 3, 2022, who arrived in a police car. Police ransacked Jia’s home three or four times and confiscated numerous personal items. That was two months ago, but Jia’s whereabouts are still not known.

6. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Li Missing

Ms. Xu Li has been missing since July 10, 2022.

7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Sun Shufang, the Li couple, the Zhao couple and Jia from the Leyuan Residential Community, Rang District, were arrested around 8 a.m. on July 12, 2022. Ms. Sun was released that day. Further information is pending.

8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Xiufang Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Wang Xiufang from the border area of Pingzhuang Town, was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at the Yuanbaoshan Power Plant on July 13, 2022. She was taken to the Pingzhuang Detention Center.

9. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yanrong Tried

Ms. Zhao Yanrong from the Shuangtaizi District was tried by the Xinglongtai District Court on July 12, 2022.

10. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Threatened

Ms. Wang Ping’s home was ransacked by police in mid-April 2022. On June 22, the officers threatened to ransack her home again if she refused to sign the three statements.

Gao Feng and other state security officers ransacked Ms. Xie Chunmei’s home in mid-April and confiscated all her Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong’s founder, a cell phone, and over 190 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. They also took two gold rings and an antique silver coin.

On June 23, the Sichuan Province Political and Legal Affairs Committee initiated a “zero-out” campaign in Emeishan City. The officers threatened Ms. Xie again. Her husband was also taken to the Mingshan Police Station, where Gao and other officers kept threatening that he could lose his job, in order to force Ms. Xie to sign the three statements.

One day in April, Ms. Chen Zhijun was arrested by Gao Feng and other officers while she was walking on the street. Officers from the Shuangfu Town Police Station ransacked Ms. Chen’s home and confiscated all her Falun Gong books and printed materials. She was repeatedly harassed by members of the Santaishan Community Management Office in Suishan Town.

On June 24, Gao Feng led seven or eight people including Wan Yongfei, director of the community management office, to force Ms. Chen’s son to take her to the Taiquan Comprehensive Management Community for brainwashing. The officers pressured Ms. Chen to sign the three statements and threatened that if she did not sign, her son would not be allowed to go to work, her grandson would not be allowed to go to school, among other threats to her family.

11. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Qiuhong’s Pension Canceled

Ms. Sun Qiuhong, 69, was sentenced to three years in prison with four years of probation and fined 10,000 yuan in early 2022. After the sentencing, she was stripped of her pension and told it would not be restored at the end of the four-year probation. She was deprived of the right to her pension by the communist regime.

12. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yanping Arrested

Ms. Li Yanping from Laiyuan County was arrested by officers from the Laiyuan County Domestic Security Division while talking to people about Falun Gong and helping people do the three withdrawals in the county’s downtown area on the morning of July 14, 2022. According to her daughter, Ms. Li was detained for two weeks.

13. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Jiang Shuhua Held in Detention Center

When Jiang Shuhua (gender unknown) from the Ranghulu District went downstairs around 7 a.m. on July 12, 2022, she/he was arrested by the police. The officers confiscated some Falun Gong books. Jiang is being held in a detention center.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. He Shuzhen Arrested

Zhang Shiguo, head of the Tonghe County Police Department’s Domestic Security Division, led twelve officers and those from the Nonghe Town Police Station in Tonghe County, to break into the home of Ms. He Shuzhen in Nonghe Town at 5 p.m. on July 13, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated all her Falun Gong books and printed materials. Ms. He was taken to the police department and held there overnight. She was released the following day.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Chunrong Arrested

A practitioner whose first name is Chunrong, from the Huachengjiayuan area in the Hongshan District was arrested while working at a nearby gas station on July 14, 2022.

16. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Numerous Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Feng Lianxia from the Daqing No. 4 Oil Production Plant was arrested by officers from the Honggang Police Department while posting information about Falun Gong on April 20, 2022. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a cell phone, Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, booklets, and 2,000 yuan in paper bills with information about Falun Gong printed on them. Ms. Feng was held in the police station. She was allowed to go home that evening after her family signed paperwork for release on bail. On July 12, the officers went to her home and arrested her again. They confiscated her Falun Gong books. Ms. Feng has since been placed under criminal detention and held at the Daqing City Detention Center. No one is allowed to visit her.

At noon on July 12, Ms. Wang Yanping and Ms. Liu Qiongfang from the Daqing No. 4 Oil Production Plant were arrested and taken to the Daqing City Detention Center. Ms. Liu was released after failing the physical examination. Ms. Wang was taken to the police station that afternoon. She was released on bail later that day. Both practitioners’ homes were ransacked and their Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Ms. Wang Shuqing from Daqing No. 5 Oil Production Plant was harassed at home several times by four or five officers from the Honggang Police Department. She was videotaped.

17. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Yalan Arrested

Ms. Song Yalan from the Xincheng Village, Handian Town, Shuangcheng District, was arrested by officers from Handian Town Police Station on May 27, 2022, on the grounds that she refused to be vaccinated. She returned home at midnight that night. On July 12 the officers went to her home again, but she was not at home.

18. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Shuihua Arrested

Officers from the Fangxing Police Station in Xinjin District broke into Ms. Wang Shuihua’s home in the Huabei Community on July 4, 2022. They pressured Ms. Wang to sign paperwork, which she refused. They took her to the police station and placed her in custody.

19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chang Yafen Harassed

Officers from the Dafangshen Police Station in Dehui City asked Ms. Chang Yafen whether she was still practiced Falun Gong. They tried to take pictures of her but she did not cooperate.

20. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Fengjun Arrested

Liu Hongfei, director of the Liujia Town Police Station, deputy director Liu Xiaodong, and two officers waited in the hallway of Mr. Zhang Fengjun’s apartment building around noon on July 4, 2022. When Mr. Zhang went downstairs to go to work, they forced him to open the door, which Mr. Zhang refused. The four officers grabbed and pushed him, took his keys, entered his home and ransacked it. They confiscated a Falun Gong book, and several printouts of Master’s writings.

Mr. Zhang was taken to the police station for questioning, but he refused to cooperate. The officers notified his family to come and pick him up that evening.

21. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Yongqin Held in Custody

Ms. Jiang Yongqin was arrested and her home was ransacked on June 12, 2022. Her family later learned that she was held in the Xin’an Police Station in the Longtan District.

It was recently reported that Ms. Jiang was not held in the police station, but in a hotel. Family visits have been denied. She has been held for over a month. Her physical condition is unknown.

22. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhu Jingrong, Yuan Sangui, and Wan Qingshu went to the Yuzhong District to mail truth-clarification letters on July 2, 2022, and were arrested by Yuzhong District plainclothes officers. Their homes were ransacked. The officers confiscated from Ms. Zhu’s home three Falun Gong books, 12 weekly publications, 30 printed materials, nine yuan paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them, 100 envelopes, three audio players, and one memory card. They confiscated from Yuan’s home 106 Falun Gong books, four audio players, two memory cards, and a cell phone. They confiscated from Wan’s home 13 Falun Gong books.

The officers took the three practitioners to a police station and asked them where they got their printed materials, where they got the phones and money imprinted with truth-clarification messages.

All three practitioners were not released until after 8 p.m. that night.

23. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ni Xiaoming Arrested

Ni Xiaoming (gender unknown) from the Shuangtaizi District was arrested at home on July 11, 2022. Ni’s home was ransacked. Further details are pending.

24. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Hongyun Displaced

Mr. Liu Hongyun’s son Liu Ming works at the Steel Supply Market in the Acheng District. In order to pressure him to reveal his parents’ whereabouts the police arrested him on the morning of July 12, 2022. He was released that afternoon. The officers took photos of him.

Mr. Liu Hongyun and his wife were not at home at the time. Their home was ransacked. It was not clear which personal items were confiscated. The couple have not returned home in order to avoid being persecuted.

25. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xuguang Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xuguang, his wife, and their son were arrested at their home in the Ranghulu District by several police officers around 9 p.m. on July 12, 2022. The officers ransacked their home. Mr. Zhang’s wife and son were released that night. Mr. Zhang remains in custody.

26. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Shengchun Arrested

Several officers from the Taigu Police Station, in Daowai District, went to Ms. Hu Shengchun’s home around 8 a.m. on July 12, 2022. They took Ms. Hu to the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center on the grounds that Ms. Hu was released on bail two years ago, and her case would be reviewed for trial.

27. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yanfen Displaced

Two officers from the Linjiang Police Station broke into Ms. Li Yanfen’s home and arrested her around 8:30 p.m. on July 12, 2022. They took her to the police station. About an hour later, four officers brought her back home and ransacked the place. They turned the place into a mess and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a cell phone, and a computer.

The officers claimed that key people on their watch list had to be investigated and arrested before July 20. Ms Li was released the following evening after police extorted 2,000 yuan from her family. She is staying away from home to avoid further persecution.
