(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 62 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Detained

It was learned that Mr. Zhao Hengde was taken to prison in June 2022. Ms. Yan Ying and another female practitioner (details to be checked) were recently taken to the Ningxia Women’s Prison.

2. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Miao Zhongjun Arrested and Detained

The Xincheng District Procuratorate charged Mr. Miao Zhongjun with “using a cult organization to undermine the implementation of the law” after he was arrested at 9 p.m. on July 25, 2022. Mr. Miao is currently detained in the Xincheng District Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners including Ms. Hu and Ms. Bi from Jiang’an District were reported to police and were arrested on the morning of July 28, 2022. Ms. Bi, over 90, was released the same day. The other four practitioners’ situations are not known.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Four practitioners from the Sujiatun District including Ms. Zhang Jianping, Ms. Xu, Ms. Zhao, and Ms. Yin, were arrested by police in the same district on July 19, 2022. Ms. Xu was taken to the Yaoqian Police Station and Zhang Jianping was taken to the Chenxiang Police Station. All four practitioners were released later that day.

Ms. Xu from Sujiatun District was arrested again on the evening of July 26, 2022.

Gu (gender unknown) from the Sujiatun District was harassed by local police on July 19, 2022.

5. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Sun Zhiqing and Ms. Li Fuying Arrested and Detained

A group of police officers went to Ms. Sun Zhiqing’s home around 5 p.m. on July 11, 2022. Ms. Sun, nearly 70, and Ms. Li Fuying, in her 60s, who was visiting Ms. Sun, were arrested. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Sun was subjected to forced labor and multiple home raids in the past. She now has had symptoms of stroke (cerebral thrombosis) and hemiplegia for two years. Despite her condition, she and Ms. Li were taken to the Anyang City Detention Center.

6. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wu Yongfeng and Her Husband Mr. He Fei Sentenced to Prison

In March 2022, Ms. Wu Yongfeng was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan. Her husband Mr. He Fei was sentenced to two years in prison with three-year probation and fined 3,000 yuan. They appealed to the intermediate court and the original verdicts were upheld. Mr. He was threatened and told that if they hired a lawyer, his probation would be canceled.

7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Three practitioners, Ms. Du Lianxiang, Ms. Feng Lianxia and Ms. Cai Xiuying, were detained in the No. 2 Detention Center.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Jian Arrested and Detained

Mr. Wang Jian from Bin County was arrested on July 20, 2022 and is detained in the No. 2 Detention Center. He is not allowed to meet with his lawyer.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Wei Detained

Ms. Lu Wei has been transferred from the No. 1 Detention Center to the No. 2 Detention Center. She is not allowed to meet her lawyer because she talked about Falun Gong in the detention center.

10. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Xiujuan Harassed

Ms. Bian Xiujuan was released from prison in July 2021. She has been constantly harassed at home by police since then. Officers from the Mazhuang Township Police Station even climbed over the wall to enter her home at midnight. After she repeatedly complained to village officials, the police stopped climbing over the wall to her house.

Officers from the Mazhuang Township Police Station and the Datun Town Police Station went to Ms. Bian’s home several times in 2022 to ask where her husband Mr. Guo Qinghua was.

Officers, including the head of the Datun Town Police Station, went to the home of Ms. Bian’s oldest daughter in the Mudian Village in June 2022. Officers from the Mazhuang Town Police Station went to Ms. Bian’s home on July 14, 2022. The next day, the police went to the workplace of Ms. Bian’s second oldest daughter. They went to the workplace of Ms. Bian’s son-in-law in Gengqiansi Village on July 27, 2022 as well as to the home of Ms. Bian’s second oldest daughter and the daughter’s mother-in-law.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Lichun Arrested

Mr. Ma Lichun from Zhonghexia Village in Fangzi District was arrested at home by officers from the Naliu Town Police Station on July 8, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

12. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guo Qingwen Arrested

Ms. Guo Qingwen was recently arrested.

13. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

The police went to Ms. Tian Lisha’s factory on July 20, 2022. They arrested Ms. Tian Lisha, Ms. Liu Mingming, Ms. Li Shuhong and a non-practitioner worker. The non-practitioner worker was released the next day. The three practitioners are still detained. Ms. Tian’s daughter is currently in charge of the factory operations. However, police officers patrol inside the factory.

14. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] 12 Practitioners Harassed or Arrested

Twelve practitioners were harassed by police on July 24 and July 26, 2022. They areMs. Jiang Zaifeng, Ms. Li Fengying, Mr. Ren Shaojie, Ms. Sun Yanru, Ms. Yin Limei, Mr. Jiang Yuejun, Mr. Wang Qinglin, Ms. Wang Shulan, Ms. Liu Jingfan, Ms. Sun Yanping, Ms. Kong Fanqin and Ms. Qi Xiumei.

The police ransacked a practitioner’s home on the morning of July 27, 2022. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a couplet, an incense burner and 26 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong.

An elderly female practitioner from Meiguiyuan Community was arrested on July 26, 2022.

Several officers, including a deputy named Dong from the Huancheng Police Station, went to Ms. Tai Lijuan’s home before 7 a.m. on July 26, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated several Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, an incense burner, etc. They also ransacked Ms. Cheng’s home. Both Ms. Tai and Ms. Cheng were taken to the police station. They were released in the evening.

Four practitioners from the Jishu Sub-district including Ms. Chen Qinglan, Ms. Zhang Yu’e, Jia and Sun, were arrested on the morning of July 26, 2022. Ms. Chen Qinglan and Ms. Zhang Yu’e were released in the afternoon.

Four people went and knocked on the door of Ms. Zhao Shulan’s shop in the Jishu Sub-district around 7 a.m. on July 26, 2022. No one answered the door. They later followed Ms. Zhao’s husband to a market and took him back to the couple’s home. They ransacked Ms. Zhao’s home.

15. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yanfang Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhang Yanfang was arrested on July 20, 2022 and was detained for five days in the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang was previously arrested and her home was ransacked. Several Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was placed under 5-day detention, but it was not executed because of the pandemic.

16. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Liping Arrested and Detained

Ms. Han Liping from Dashimiao Town of Shuangqiao District was arrested in Shuangqiao District on July 23, 2022. She is currently detained in the Chengde City Detention Center.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Fuling Arrested

Ms. Gao Fuling from Zhongshan District, about 68, was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Bayi Road Police Station on July 26, 2022. Her home was ransacked.

18. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Limei Arrested

Ms. Zhang Limei from Kuancheng County was arrested on the afternoon of July 26, 2022.

19. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Shuqin Arrested and Detained

Officers from the Liuzhuo Township Police Station went to Ms. Ma Shuqin’s home in Liuzhou Village, Liuzhuo Township, Dingxing County, on July 25, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, truth clarifying materials, the NTDTV satellite receiver, etc. Ms. Ma was placed under 11-day detention and was fined 600 yuan. She is detained in the Dingxing County Detention Center.

20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Shuhua Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuhua lives in Youse Building in the Jiangbei District. She was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 28, 2022. Her home was ransacked, and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

21. [Rui’an City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lin Xiuling Arrested

Ms. Lin Xiuling was arrested by four officers on July 19, 2022. She is being detained in the Rui’an Detention House.

22. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Runrong Arrested

Ms. Wang Runrong was arrested at home by several officers from the Datun Police Station in Chaoyang District around 6 p.m. on July 27, 2022. Her home was ransacked.
