(Minghui.org) A rally was held in front of the Vancouver Art Museum on August 20, 2022 followed by a parade, to celebrate the 400 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. The parade passed through several main streets in the center of Vancouver.
Many people stopped to watch the activities, take photos, or cheer on the participants. Some explained that they came from communist countries and so they had a deep appreciation of the activities. One person said, “These activities are meaningful. Communism is bad in all aspects, but people living in free countries do not realize it.”

Organizer of the Event: 400 Million Withdrawals Are Amazing
Ms. Fang, a volunteer representative of the Vancouver Sea Center for Quitting the CCP and the organizer of the event, said at the rally, “In China, under the tyranny of the communist regime, 400 million people quit the CCP. This is a miracle.”

“The withdrawal from the CCP organizations is an opportunity for the kind-hearted Chinese people to get salvation. Communism is not a way out, but a dead end. The disintegration of the CCP is a historical inevitability and no one can stop it. Abandoning the CCP will bring one a bright future,” Ms. Fang said.
Persecuted Entrepreneur: Reject the CCP for Our Children’s Future
Feng Zhenguo a businessman from China, attended the rally wearing a T-shirt with the words: “Destroy the Communist Party and Then There Will Be a New China.” He explained his mother was detained for distributing Falun Gong leaflets. He said his mother was kind, but she was tortured during her detention.
In order to help his mother recuperate, Feng Zhenguo took his mother to his home after she was released from detention. Local CCP officials then began harassing him. They went to Feng’s furniture factory and took furniture, but never paid for it. They forced Feng to buy the equipment they chose, and then made him buy another set the next year, thus depleting Feng’s savings.
Feng Zhenguo immigrated to Canada two and a half years ago. He never expected that the CCP had also infiltrated Canada.
He said, “We Chinese are pleased to see that more and more Canadians recognize the evil nature of the CCP. The number of people who deny the CCP is increasing, which is what those who are conservative and uphold Canada’s traditional values are happy to see. We encourage the Canadian government to reject evil.”
In the end, he said that although he was not a Falun Gong practitioner, he firmly supported Falun Gong’s freedom of belief and condemned the CCP’s deliberate trampling on religious freedom. He objected to any person or organization that brought the CCP’s fascist ideology into Canada. “We want our children and grandchildren to have peace and a happy future.”
The Free Countries Must Be Wary of Communism
Dona Vachon, a manager for a telecommunications company in Vancouver, had been to Cuba. “We live in Canada, which is a free country,” she said, adding that unless you travel to other countries, you won’t be really aware of the impact of communism on other cities and countries around the world.
She said of the rally, “It’s good to be wary of communism, to spread awareness like this, and to let people really know it. Living in Canada, we have a right to freedom, and we sometimes forget about that.”
She added, “I know there are people, like Cubans, who still live under communism and that’s what they know. They feel deeply that if they don’t have this structure, this rule, that sort of things, their lives will suffer. So, there is such a segment of people who still believe in it [communism]. It’s probably because that’s how they were brought up, that’s what they know.”
Vancouver resident Hieu went to the venue to attend the rally. He said, “I support these people quitting the CCP. The CCP uses its power to infiltrate newspapers, television and other media, and they do this every day. People around me talk about the influence of the CCP on the whole world and the Chinese people. So I want to support and help the Chinese people who are taking a stand.”
Rahul from India now lives in Vancouver and said, “I know about the Tiananmen Square Massacre. I know that the Chinese people are very good, and the international community needs to distinguish the Chinese people from the CCP. They should not be confused.”
Russian Canadian: We Support This Event
Yulia and Stan from Russia who now live in Vancouver expressed their support for the withdrawal of 400 million Chinese from the CCP organizations. Stan said, “We all support this event. The Communist Party is evil. In different countries, not just in China, the CCP has done a lot of terrible things like genocide. Because we were born in the former Soviet Union, we have firsthand knowledge, we have experienced it and know how it works. If China can get rid of communism, we will be happy.”
Yulia said, “A lot of people don’t know how to get away from the communist regime yet. So it’s not a fairy tale for us. Also here tomorrow, we will attend a rally to commemorate the victims of the communist regime internationally. For example, Ukrainians, Russians, Czechs will come here tomorrow.
“We want to see more people live in a peaceful world, but we know that communism exists all over the world, not just the CCP, but any communist party. They only care about their own interests. They don’t want people to live in a peaceful world. They want to create chaos and struggle for other people.”
Engineer: I Support Chinese People Quitting the CCP
Mohsen, an engineer, said he was happy to learn that millions of Chinese have quit the CCP.
Mohsen was waiting for a bus with his child. As the marchers, young and old, walked by and smiled Mohsen was excited and cheered. “Communism destroys people’s freedom,” he said. “Communism anywhere is destroying our country.”
Mohsen said, “I support Chinese people quitting the CCP. They should have freedom and democracy.”
