(Minghui.org) It was a morning in September 2020, when another practitioner and I took a bus to distribute truth-clarification calendars in another town. When we had just finished up, a young street cleaner approached to ask if we had more. We told him we would return the next day with more calendars.
We were unable to find the street vendor the next day. With only a couple calendars left, two police cars drove up and parked beside us. Three officers approached and said, “Where did you get the calendars? Get in the car.” They dragged us to the car.
I told them, “Don’t persecute Dafa practitioners, it is not good for you. If you treat practitioners well, you will be blessed.” They kept silent. “However, if you persecute Dafa practitioners, you will suffer karmic retribution.” One of the officers sitting in the front suddenly turned around and tried to punch me, but his fist stopped in front of my face. I knew it was Master Li who had blocked his attack.
We were confined in two separate rooms. The director walked in asking my name. I refused to answer him, and he angrily said, “Let’s torture her!” He attached my arms to a chair and took out an iron torture tool. I was unable to move.
I was not afraid and asked Master to reinforced my righteous thoughts. I said nothing. Then I realized I had anger and was not being kind enough to them. Could that have aggravated their behavior?
While I was thinking this, the director withdrew the tool and said, “If you had a good attitude, I would have released you.” I said, “I didn’t have a bad attitude!” He replied, “You stared at us with a fierce look!”
“That was because you rushed to interrogate us as criminals.” He softened, “I should not have done that.” I said, “I also didn’t do well. As a cultivator, my behavior was not kind enough.”
The director then asked me to demonstrate the five Dafa exercises to them. After I finished, it was already 6 p.m.
Two policemen and two policewomen then surrounded me and said Falun Dafa was a cult. I explained, “The Chinese Communist Party is the real cult. Who has passed legislation that defines Falun Dafa as a cult? The practice has already spread to more than 100 countries. Falun Dafa is not even on the list of the 14 cults issued by the Ministry of Public Security. It was Jiang Zemin who acted arbitrarily to initiate the persecution.”
The director replied, “You can practice many other forms of qigong, why do you stick to Falun Dafa?”
“After I began to practice, all my illnesses went away, and I have not had to take any medicine. If I hadn’t practiced it, I likely would have died long ago. Don’t you think Dafa is amazing?” I teared up.
They didn’t refute me. I said, “Please try reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ and you will be blessed. And if you quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliates, your safety will be ensured.” One of the officers agreed to quit.
My son came to pick me up. The director and 12 police officers saw me off at the gate, and I waved good-bye.
Looking back, I realized that we should hold righteous thoughts no matter what the circumstance and should treat everyone with kindness. When we confront police officers, we should not aggravate them. In that case, they will also treat us well.
