(Minghui.org) In early July 2022, personal information of up to one billion Chinese citizens, leaked from the Shanghai police database, was listed for sale by a Chinese hacker.

In a sample of 750,000 entries provided by the hacker to attract buyers, a file named “Case Data Index” contained records of the public calling the police to report suspected crimes. Within it, a total of 140 cases recorded in Shanghai between 2003 and 2019 were related to Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the communist regime since 1999. At least two of the cases matched information collected by Minghui.org. They are Ms. Zhou Xianwen and Ms. Bai Gendi, who have passed away as a result of the persecution.

Ms. Zhou Xianwen

According to the leaked police data, “In July 2007, the suspect, Zhou Xianwen, was arrested and a large amount of Falun Gong promotional materials were seized. It has been confirmed through investigation that the suspect had mailed Falun Gong promotional materials from Xiangyin Post Office since 2007. She has confessed to the above-mentioned crime.” The arrest location of Ms. Zhou was recorded as the Xiangyin Post Office in Yangpu District.

The information matched a report by Minghui.org in September 2007, which recorded that Ms. Zhou was arrested on the evening of July 31, 2007 by eight officers from the Yangpu District Police Department, after someone reported her to the police. She was held at the lockup for a month and then transferred to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center on August 30.

It was also confirmed by Minghui.org that Ms. Zhou was arrested again on June 24, 2019, for using four 5-yuan bills that had information about Falun Gong printed on them to buy food at a supermarket. She was followed by officers of the Pudong New District Domestic Security Office and held at the Zhangjiang Detention Center following her arrest.

After two months of detention, Ms. Zhou developed a heart condition and was easily out of breath. Before releasing her on bail, the police gave her IV drips against her will, without revealing what was in the bottle.

Upon returning home, Ms. Zhou felt uncomfortable all over, whether she was standing or lying down. She had difficulty breathing and had the sensation that she could stop breathing at any time. She was out of breath after the slightest effort, such as opening the door, answering the phone, or using the restroom. She also felt that her mind was blank, and she was incoherent and couldn’t get her words out. Sometimes she couldn’t fall asleep the entire night. She lost her appetite and didn’t want to move. Only then did she realize that the police must have given her toxic drugs.

Later on, blisters appeared all over her feet and oozed when they broke. Then she began to have excruciating pain in her calves. Blisters also appeared on her calves and oozed blood and pus. Whether she sat, stood, or laid down, she was in constant pain. Over time, her feet became swollen, festered, and turned dark. She passed away on August 8, 2021. She was 73.

Another practitioner’s name that showed up in the police database was Ms. Bai Gendi. The police report read, “At 18:00 on September 10, 2012, citizen Xie Zhengkai visited a police station and reported that he received a text message about Falun Gong that was sent by the phone number 15921522491.”

Because of the text message, Ms. Bai was arrested hours later while walking on the street. She was sentenced to 6.5 years on May 3, 2013. Three years into her prison term, she was released on medical parole, when she was on the verge of death from torture and involuntary drug administration in the prison. She died a year later on June 15, 2017. Before death, she kept repeating, “They want me to die so that I can no longer save people.”
