(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 34 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mingming Arrested

The Hongyun Carpet Factory in Wendeng District was shut down by police on July 21, 2022. It was learned that practitioner Mingming was arrested.

2. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

A Falun Gong material production site was raided around 4 p.m. on July 20, 2022. Ms. Huang Xiaofen’s home on the 8^th floor of the Food Processing City was ransacked. No one knows where Ms. Huang is now.

Recently many practitioners including Ms. Hu Guimei, Ms. Jiang Xilian, and Ms. Lei Baoliang, were harassed by people from the Chenzhou 610 Office.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Cui Yanling was sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Wang Ying was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison. Ms. Lu Lizhen was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.

4. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Zhenyue Arrested

Ms. Lu Zhenyue, 75, was arrested at home by eight people from the local police station and local community around 11 a.m. on July 18, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated a media player, information about Falun Gong, more than 50 Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and 700 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong. Ms. Lu was taken to the police department. She was bailed out by her daughter around 11 p.m.

5. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Shiying Arrested

Ms. Liu Shiying was recently arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Wang Jian Arrested and Detained

Wang Jian (gender unknown) was arrested in Bin County and is currently detained in the No.2 Detention Center of Harbin City.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Lixue Arrested

Ms. Wang Lixue was arrested by more than twelve police officers on July 10, 2022.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Yong and Ms. Ma Jie Persecuted

Mr. Zhang Yong was released after he was detained for three years in prison, and was taken back to Jilin City from the Gongzhuling Prison by his family on July 19, 2022. However, around 9 p.m. that day he was taken away from his home by officers from the Xin’an Police Station.

Officers from the Xin’an Police Station in the Longtang District went to Ms. Ma Jie’s home around 9 p.m. on July 19, 2022. They arrested her husband Mr. Shao Jianwei and her youngest son. Ms. Ma Jie managed to escape.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shen Jun Missing

No one has heard from Ms. Shen Jun since early October 2019. According to the Minghui website, in February 2020 and September 2020 she was detained in the Quzhou Detention Center in Zhejiang Province and was placed under official arrest. Her family and other practitioners have not heard any news about her since then. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Two officers from the Baiyilaga Township Police Station in Qianguo County went to Ms. Zhang Shuxia’s home in No.1 Branch of Hongguang Farm at 10 a.m. on July 14, 2022. They photographed Ms. Zhang and her sister who was visiting her. A copy of Zhuan Falun was confiscated.

The two officers then went to Ms. Wang Shuchun’s home and Ms. Gao Xiulan’s home to take photos.

Ms. Zhang Chengyan’s son received a harassing call from Tan Wenguo, director of the General Office of the Lianhuapao Farm on the morning of July 14, 2022. Tan wanted to have a recent photo of Ms. Zhang.

11. [Beijing] Mr. Sun Yuanlong and Mr. Zhang Bowu Persecuted

Mr. Sun Yuanlong and Mr. Zhang Bowu were arrested by officers from the Shengli Road Police Station in the Shunyi District on January 8, 2022. They were detained for one month and were released on bail pending trial for one year.

Mr. Sun Yuanlong was questioned by officers from the Nanfaxin Police Station on July 20, 2022.

Mr. Zhang Bowu was phoned by the Nanfaxin Police Station on July 20 and July 21, 2022. He was questioned and asked whether he still practiced Falun Gong. He was scheduled to meet the local officer at 8 p.m. on July 22, 2022.

12. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guihua and Ms. Sun Changzhi Harassed

Ms. Liu Guihua and Ms. Sun Changzhi from Guyuan County were arrested on May 14, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books and photos of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. The two practitioners were taken to the Guyuan County Police Department but were later released.

Li Fulin from the county Domestic Security Division went to take blood samples from Ms. Liu and Ms. Sun a few days ago. Ms. Liu was held in the hallway by three officers and her blood sample was forcibly taken. Ms. Sun also had a blood sample forcefully taken from her at her home.

13. [Guang’an County, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Kaiju Arrested and Detained

Officers from the Douhudi Police Station and staff members of the Yongjiang Community went to Ms. Yu Kaiju’s home on July 2, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, her Falun Gong books, computer, printer, media player, and other items. Ms. Yu was placed under 15-day detention. She was released on the morning of July 19, 2022.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Wenping Arrested

Several officers went to Mr. Ma Wenping’s home in No. 12 Road of Tiexi District around 10 a.m. on July 19, 2022. They damaged the door and forcefully broke into his home. They photographed Mr. Ma, his wife Ms. Qi Shifan, and three other ladies who were there. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, truth-clarifying materials, a media player, two cell phones, a computer, and other items.

Five people were taken to the Minglian Police Station in Huanggu District for interrogation. The four ladies were released later. Mr. Ma was taken to the Huanggu District Detention Center.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Yueju Harassed

Officers from the Nanshan Police Station in Pulandian went to Ms. Wu Yueju’s home recently and told her that she was charged.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Shuihua Harassed

Village official Xie Jiaqu from the Huabei Community, Anxi Town of Xinjing District, went to Ms. Wang Shuihua’s home at noon on July 9, 2022. Xie Jiaqu told Ms. Wang to come to the community office at 2 p.m. because someone from the district government wanted to talk to her. However, as soon as she arrived, Ms. Wang was taken to the Xinjing District Police Department. Two people from the Xinjing District Political and Legal Affairs Committee and two people from the Domestic Security Division questioned her and pressured her to sign a guarantee statement, which Ms. Wang refused. They called Ms. Wang’s daughter and threatened to send Ms. Wang to the Longwangdu Detention Center. Ms. Wang was released around 8 p.m.

17. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lai Bihua Harassed

Ms. Lai Bihua lives in Wangjiang Village, Yongshang Town, Xinjing District. Village official Fu Enyan and officer Yi Chunfu from the town police station, went to Ms. Lai’s home around 10 a.m. on July 1, 2022. Ms. Lai was not at home. They talked to Ms. Lai’s mother and called her husband. Her husband has received multiple harassing calls from the police station for nearly a year.
