San Francisco, California: Locals Support Falun Dafa Practitioners in Condemning the Persecution

(Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners for 23 years, beginning on July 20, 1999. Practitioners held a photo exhibit outside San Francisco’s government building and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to passersby on July 19, 2022.

Some practitioners demonstrated the exercises, while others held up truth-clarification banners or introduced Falun Dafa to everyone who inquired about the practice. Many passersby asked questions about Falun Dafa.

Locals find out the facts about Falun Dafa

The San Francisco government building area is also a local tourist site, and is surrounded by a library and some museums. Not only does it attract tourists, many wedding pictures are also taken here. Falun Dafa practitioners’ activities took place on both sides of the government buildings.

Practitioners introduced the practice to Rosie and her daughter when they passed the government building. Rosie said that she felt calm as soon as she saw Falun Dafa practitioners doing the exercises. Rosie and her daughter felt a positive energy emanating from the practitioners.

Practitioners explained that they follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and do the exercises to benefit their mind and body. “This is what I have been looking for,” said Rosie. She inquired about local practice sites and was happy to be told a practice side is near her home. “I will definitely start practicing Falun Dafa,” she said.

Vitro, a college student, passed by the government building with his father, Jim. They asked a lot of questions. Vitro said, “I feel calm watching Falun Dafa practitioners doing the exercises.” Upon learning about the persecution, Vitro burst out angrily, “This is terrible!”

Jim began reading the truth-clarification flyers and said, “We immigrated to the United States from Peru. We know what it is like to live under a communist regime. This includes brainwashing, persecuting beliefs, and killing innocent people.” He expressed his support for Falun Dafa practitioners for their effort calling for an end to the persecution.

A Caucasian gentleman walked past the practitioners, and said, “I have been watching you for a long time. I support you.”

A Falun Dafa practitioner said, “The former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin launched a state-wide persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. We have been peacefully resisting this persecution for 23 years through clarifying the truth to people. More and more people are awakening to the truth. They support practitioners’ peaceful resistance.”
