Poland: Promoting Falun Dafa in Historic Sandomierz

(Minghui.org) Sandomierz, a historic town in the southeastern part of Poland, is known for its well-preserved Old Town, a major cultural and tourist attraction. It was a royal city of the Polish Crown and a regional administrative center from the High Middle Ages to the 19th century. Every July, the Knights’ Tournament and the Jagiellonian Fair for traditional crafts attract many tourists.

During the festival, Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) practitioners from Poland held a Falun Dafa Information Day event on Sandomierz Market Square on July 9, 2022. This is the second time they have been in Sandomierz. 

Many who inquired about the website to learn more about Falun Dafa were shocked when they heard that Chinese people who follow the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They had an even more difficult time understanding how the CCP could condone harvesting Falun Gong practitioners’ organs against their will, sometimes while they are still alive, and then selling them to people desperate for transplants.

Many people signed a petition calling for the end of the persecution and the forced organ harvesting from jailed Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Holding a flier and a lotus flower, Aleksandra raised her thumb to show her support for Falun Gong. “The heinous genocide committed by the CCP should be condemned worldwide and the perpetrators should be tried,” she said.

Ewa and Krzysztof were shocked when they read on the display boards about the persecution and the forced organ harvesting going on in China. One of them said, “This is unacceptable. Organ harvesting from living people is the work of the devil.” They both signed the petition calling for an end to the forced organ harvesting.

Julia, Urszula, and Mr. Zbigniew signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution. Julia said that they signed it to protest the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. “We support you, and we support justice. Falun Dafa is good,” Julia added.

Mr. Andrzej spoke with a practitioner for a long time. He said that human beings must oppose evil. If we don’t, we won’t be able to discern right from wrong, and moral standards will decline. He commented, “Falun Gong practitioners are courageous to uphold the truth, oppose evil, and defend universal values with their lives. Such people are rare in the world today. I admire you—bless you all.”
