Truth Clarification Events in Utah, U.S.A.

(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa Association of Utah has great opportunities to host a number of truth-clarification events during the summer in various cities. So far, we have taken part in events in the cities of West Valley, Herriman, and Provo.

Each time we set up a booth, we focus on telling people about the practice of Falun Dafa and the persecution of practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party. We hand out free materials, including flyers about Falun Dafa, flyers about the persecution and forced organ harvesting, and origami lotus flowers signifying the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

2022 Westfest in West Valley City 

Something unique at our booths this year is providing information about House Resolution 6319: The Falun Gong Protection Act, that is currently going through the United States Congress. This important piece of legislation would issue a formal condemnation from the United States Government to the People’s Republic of China for its persecution of Falun Gong. We have been fortunate to have a QR code that helps visitors to easily access and sign the petition. At one event, we were able to clarify the truth to Congressman Burgess Owens and request his support in passing H.R. 6319.

As volunteers we have been able to reach a large number of individuals. Many people have inquired about and gone to the local practice site, including a woman named Blanca. Blanca was given an informational flyer at one of the festivals and brought a friend to learn the meditation exercises. She was very appreciative, giving hugs and thanking us for being there for the community. 

Both women said they felt relaxed and calm after doing the first exercise, and commented on the positive energy surrounding them. After doing the exercises, they wanted to know how they could access the main text of Falun Dafa, Zhuan Falun. Blanca and her friend said they planned to bring another friend the next time they visited the practice site and were excited to share their new discovery with more friends and family members.
