Jilin Woman Sentenced for Talking to a Student about the Persecution of Her Faith

(Minghui.org) A Dehui City, Jilin Province resident was recently sentenced to three years for raising awareness about the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, which has been going on since 1999.

Ms. Song Changping, 56, worked as a janitor at the Longzhu Private School. Because of talking to a student about Falun Gong, she was reported by the school principal Wang. 

On July 10, 2021, the police arrested Ms. Song and ransacked her home. She was brought to the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center on July 26. 

It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that Ms. Song was sentenced to three years by the Dehui City Court. She has been transferred to the Dehui City Detention Center. 

Ms. Song’s arrest and sentencing left her family in a dire situation. Her husband works out of town. Their older son has lost the ability to work due to severe diabetes. Their younger son also doesn’t work due to depression. Ms. Song was the main caregiver for both of her sons and her two young granddaughters.
