(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Nanning City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Practitioner Lu Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
6. [Pindu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Qin Tried in Court
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Maiying Arrested
8. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xuehua Harassed

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Zhang Jun Tried in Court

Zhang Jun (gender unknown) was tried online by the Pulandian District Court on May 7, 2022. Lawyers Dong Qianyong and Chen Zhiyong from Beijing defended his innocence during the court session.

2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Ping and Ms. Xu Nanzhi Arrested

Officers in two police cars went to Ms. He Ping’s home in Jiayu County on May 12, 2022. They arrested Ms. He and her visitor Ms. Xu Nanzhi and ransacked their homes. Ms. Xu was released in the afternoon. Ms. He’s situation is unknown.

3. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Miao Zhongjun Arrested

Mr. Miao Zhongjun, 65, lives with his elderly parents, 85-year-old mother and 96-year-old father, in the Xincheng District. He was arrested in his community yard by officers from the North Gongyuan Road Police Station on the morning of May 10, 2022. He was cuffed with his hands behind his back and was beaten. His home was ransacked and some truth clarifying materials were confiscated. His current whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Chunfang Detained in a Brainwashing Center

The police arrested each practitioner as they came to attend a Fa study meeting in Huashan, Hongshan District on the morning of May 10, 2022. Ms. Tian Chunfang was arrested and her home was ransacked. Ms. Tian is currently detained in a brainwashing center in Baishazhou.

5. [Nanning City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Practitioner Lu Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Practitioner Lu (probably Mr. Lu Cuncheng) from Dingdang Town, Long’an County, was arrested around April 10, 2022. He was sentenced to seven years in prison that month for talking to people about Falun Gong and destroying the propaganda board that slandered Falun Gong.

6. [Pindu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Qin Tried in Court

Ms. Ma Qin was tried in court on the morning of May 13, 2022.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Maiying Arrested

Ms. Li Maiying lives in the Dormitory Community of the Fangzi District Education Bureau. She was arrested by officers from the Fenghuang Police Station on May 11, 2022. Her home was ransacked.

8. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xuehua Harassed

Ms. Liu Xuehua lives in Henan Village, Landi Town. She was harassed at home by village official Wan Chengxu, officers from the town police station and officials from the Pingdu City 610 Office around 11 a.m. on May 11, 2022. Several Falun Gong books were confiscated.

9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Qin Arrested

Ms. Jiang Qin was arrested and taken to the Binhu Police Station around April 20, 2022.

10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yanhui Harassed

Mr. Wang Yanhui received a call from the Yangcheng Town Police Station in the Qingyuan District on May 6, 2022, stating that the police would come to his home on May 8, 2022.

Wang Pengfei, head of the police station, and another officer went to Mr. Wang’s home on May 8, 2022. They told Mr. Wang to sign on an arrest warrant, which he firmly refused. The police left.
