Different Outcomes Stem from Different Thoughts

(Minghui.org) One evening, I went to a neighbor's home to get some millet. She has a big wolfhound that is very violent. It is kept in their yard. Anyone who wants to go to their house can’t enter if the owner doesn’t come out. That evening I directly went to her house, opened the door, and entered her house. Inside, there were two people; one was a neighbor. When she saw me, she was very nervous, “How did you get in?” I then remembered the wolfhound. Why didn’t I hear it bark? How could I directly go into the yard and enter the house?

I realized it was because I didn’t have any fear of the wolfhound, and it was Master who protected me.

This reminded me that when we clarify the truth, we should let go of any human notions, including whether the person will want to listen, whether they will yell at us, or even if they will report us. When we have compassion, with a heart sincerely focused on saving people, the effect will be good. On the other hand, if we are hesitant, we will have interference, which might cause the person not to accept it. Therefore, we won’t be able to save the person. Instead, we might cause the person to generate karma.

For example, I went out one day to clarify the truth to people, persuade people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and give out copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. As I was going to clarify the truth to a vegetable vendor, I started out by purchasing vegetables from him; then I thought I would give him a copy of the Nine Commentaries and then clarify the truth to him. I was hesitant, wondering whether he would accept the truth and if I would rather not give him a copy. At that time, my human notions dominated and suppressed my divine side. However, I proceeded and said, “Brother, I see you are very kind. I will give you a book to read.” He asked what it was. I said, “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.”

“Ah,” and he continued, “How dare you be against the CCP?”

I said, “It is a chance for you to see what the CCP is like.”

He continued to yell, so I left immediately.

After that, I thought about what I did wrong. I realized that my mind was not pure and not steady. I did not have enough compassion, and had too many negative thoughts, which repressed my divine side. Therefore, the person lost a chance to be saved. I should clarify the truth well and study the Fa well. With a pure and clean heart, we are sure to have a good effects in saving sentient beings.
