Additional Persecution News from China – April 10, 2022 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Fengying Faces Trial

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Fengying Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Fengying was scheduled to be tried in the Xishan District Court at 9:30 a.m. on April 12, 2022.

2. [Wutai County, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Suhua, 66, and two other practitioners from Kuiyin Village, were reported to police for distributing truth-clarifying materials in a neighboring village. They were arrested by Wutai County police officers on April 9, 2022. Ms. Zhang’s home was ransacked. Thirty-three copies of Minghui Weekly and 88 truth-clarifying CDs were confiscated. The practitioners are currently held in the Wutai County Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Liu Shenjian Arrested

Liu Shenjian (gender unknown) was arrested on March 23, 2022 and is currently detained in the Panlongcheng Brainwashing Center in Huangpi District.

4. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Lisha’s Home Ransacked

Five officers from the Weiyu Police Station in the No. 857 Farm went to Ms. Wang Lisha’s home on the afternoon of April 3, 2022. They ransacked it and confiscated several Falun Gong books, media players, USB drives, and other items.

5. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] The Case Against Mr. Sun Yushan Submitted to the Procuratorate

Mr. Sun Yushan was arrested by officers from the Qingshuitang Police Station on January 20, 2022. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Sun was placed under official arrest on March 25, 2022. He is currently detained in the No. 2 Detention Center of Changsha City. His case is now submitted to the Kaifu District Procuratorate.

6. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Persecuted

The head of the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division led some officers from the Xinbin Town Police Station to a delicatessen butcher shop, owned by Sun (first name and gender unknown), on the afternoon of March 31, 2022. They confiscated Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder from the shop.

The police then went to the home of Mr. Xu Baoyu, who rented a house from Sun. Mr. Xu was bedridden and unable to take care of himself. When no one opened the door, the police broke the metal door and forcibly entered the room. They confiscated his Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.

The police went to Mr. Xu Baoyu’s house in the countryside that evening and searched the house. They also knocked on the door of Ms. Jiang Zhihui’s home. Ms. Jiang did not open the door for them.

Ms. Jiang Zhihui, Ms. Huang Xiangrong and Ms. Chi Xiuhua were arrested at Ms. Jiang Zhihui’s home on the evening of April 7, 2022. Her home had been under police surveillance. The police ransacked Ms. Jiang’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and some other personal belongings. The three practitioners were released later that day.

Ms. Jiang was placed under 15-day detention and fined 1000 yuan; Ms. Huang and Ms. Chi, were each sentenced to 10 days’ detention and each fined 1000 yuan. Their sentences will be executed after the epidemic.

7. [Xingping City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Xia Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xia was reported to police for distributing information about Falun Gong in a residential community and was arrested on the evening of April 8, 2022. She was interrogated in the police station and her home was ransacked. Ms. Zhang has been released.

8. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Sun Qingju and two other female practitioners were arrested at noon on April 8, 2022. The details are unknown.
