(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Feng Jimei Imprisoned

Ms. Feng Jimei was taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on December 31, 2021.

2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. He Guoao Imprisoned

Mr. He Guoao from Tongcheng County, 72, is currently detained in the Fanjiatai Prison, Hubei Province.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Li Yan Fired

Ms. Li Yan was a teacher in Beijing City College. She was fired because she was arrested and detained for one month in August 2021.

4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yijun and His Wife Li Cuihua Arrested

Ms. Li Cuihua, around 50, was arrested when she visited Ms. Mao Yongchun at her home on February 16, 2022. A group of police officers and local community members went there. Ms. Li was body searched and her laptop was confiscated. Later her husband Mr. Wang Yijun was arrested as well.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Yanling’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Xindihao Police Station in Chuanying District went to Ms. Zhao Yanling’s home on February 14, 2022, and ransacked it.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Zonghai Harassed

Six police officers from the Chaoyatheng District went to Mr. Yang Zonghai’s home around 8 p.m. on February 19, 2022. They searched his home and videotaped the place.

7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qingfang Arrested

Ms. Wang Qingfang from the Yingchunyuan, Zhangdian District, was arrested on February 18, 2022.

8. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yahui Arrested

Ms. Li Yahui was arrested on February 16, 2022.

9. [Nicheng County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Xiangyun and Ms. Sun Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiangyun and Ms. Sun Guizhi were reported to police for distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Machengzi Market, Daming Town. They were arrested by officers from the Daming Town Police Station on January 26, 2022. Their homes were ransacked later that day. Anything related to Falun Gong was confiscated. Both practitioners were released in the evening.

However, two days later, the county police went to arrest Ms. Zhang at her home. They went to Ms. Sun’s home as well but Ms. Sun was not there.

10. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Li Yanzhu Arrested

Ms. Li Yanzhu is a retiree from the Gejiu City Cultural Bureau. She was arrested by police on January 29, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Li has been detained in the Gejiu City Detention Center since then.

11. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Zhanping’s Pension Suspended

Mr. Lu Zhanping, a retiree from the Huabei Oilfield, was informed on November 2, 2021, that her pension should have been suspended since April 2021.

Mr. Lu was told by the Hebei Provincial Social Security Administration Bureau on February 18, 2022, that he had to return 96,352.8 yuan of the pension he received. He was also told to return 7,704 yuan in living allowance to the Huabei Oilfield Administration.

12. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] The Pensions of Mr. Yang Guoshu and Mr. Tian Lingquan Withheld

Mr. Yang Guoshu was imprisoned before. His pension during his detention was withheld by the Shulan Social Security Bureau.

Mr. Tian Lingquan was just released home from prison. His pension, while he was detained, was also withheld.

13. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Xiuqing and Ms. Ren Arrested

Ms. Ren was arrested by officers from the Huancheng Police Station on February 17, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Gao Xiuqing was arrested by police on the morning of February 18, 2022. Her home was ransacked. Both practitioners have now returned home.

14. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fu Meixiang and Mr. Song Fangming Arrested

Ms. Fu Meixiang was arrested at home by four officers on February 18, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated 10 Falun Gong books, four photos of Falun Gong’s founder, two MP3 players, and two video players. Ms. Fu was taken to the Yinpenling Police Station for interrogation. She refused to cooperate and was released around 8 p.m., that evening.

Mr. Song Fangming, 65, was arrested by officers from the Wujialing Police Station around noon on February 14, 2022.

15. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhengbi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Zhengbi, 74, was arrested in the Chuandazhong Market by plainclothes officers around 9 a.m. on February 9, 2022, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Jiahe Police Station for interrogation. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated one Falun Gong book, four media players, three cell phones, and 360 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kong Ying Arrested

Ms. Kong Ying from Qingdui Town was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station in Zhuanghe City on February 8, 2022. She is currently detained in the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

17. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Dai Zhidong Passed Away

Mr. Dai Zhidong, 60, was arrested in Lindian County on January 8, 2022, when he distributed truth-clarifying materials. His home was ransacked and 5000 yuan in cash was confiscated His son paid 10,000 yuan to bail him out on January 9, 2022. He was under huge financial pressure and passed away 35 days later.
