(Minghui.org) I was reported when I talked to people about Falun Dafa at my company in 2011, and I was demoted from my position as HR manager. My salary was also cut in half. I didn’t realize this was a form of persecution. Instead, I thought it gave me more time to study the Fa and help people learn the facts about the persecution.

I was fired in 2013, so I moved to the south with my daughter and father. Right after the 2014 Chinese New Year, a practitioner told me that another practitioner, Hao, who came from the same town I’d just moved from, was hospitalized due to the persecution. His parents, in their 70s, went there to take care of him. This practitioner asked if I could help and encourage the parents. I was initially fearful because of the intense persecution, but I felt obligated to go and help.

I learned that Hao had broken his pelvis when he tried to avoid being arrested. He’d just had surgery and had been on a one-week hunger strike to protest the persecution. When his parents and I entered the ward, we saw one attendant and two security guards. He was confined to a bed that was surrounded by a fence. No one was allowed to visit him. The guards told us we had to get permission from the Domestic Security Division.

We went to the police department the next morning, and the director of the Domestic Security Division invited us into his office. We asked to see Hao. The director said that, although his case took place in that city, it was being handled by higher-level officers. He was told that no one was allowed to visit Hao.

I asked, “What crime did he commit? Can you show me proof? We will go to Beijing to appeal!” The director appeared hesitant and ordered a subordinate to phone their superior for instructions.

I said, “Hao is so young. If he is paralyzed, how can he support himself? If your son was laying there, what would you do?” He replied, “Don’t say that. Don’t curse my son.” I said, “You won’t allow his parents to see their son when he is so badly injured. Doesn’t Hao deserve to be treated like a human being?”

He relented, “Sit down, please sit down. There is a surveillance camera here.” I reminded him he was supposed to help us solve our problems and the camera was there to watch bad people, not us, He eventually agreed to let us see Hao.

Afterwards, I felt my attachment to fear was lessened. I enlightened that the old forces are the ones who are really scared. We saw Hao that afternoon. His lips were chapped and his voice was hoarse, but he was still clear-minded and hinted to me that there was a camera above him.

The lawyer practitioners had hired arrived on the third day. I told the lawyer that Hao was a good student and did well in college. He went to Beijing to speak up for Dafa but was arrested and taken back to school. Since he refused to give up his spiritual belief, the school withheld his diploma. He had been repeatedly arrested, detained, and tortured. Although he was very talented, he could not find a job in our hometown, so he’d had to move south and take on odd jobs.

The lawyer was very sympathetic. I asked if he could get Hao released on bail. He said, “We can try, but it’s not easy.” I felt the lawyer was afraid.

I remembered what Master Li said,

“... no matter what problems might arise among Dafa disciples, they are, for sure, aimed at certain people or the human attachments of a certain group of people. That's definitely the case.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IX)

Our Attachments Create Interference

The practitioners in the area all actively participated in the rescue. At my suggestion, we had a small-scale experience sharing meeting three days later. We studied the Fa, sent forth righteous thoughts, and looked inward together. We found we had the attachments of competition, fear, resentment, and suspicion.

One practitioner said that too many practitioners had relied on Hao since he was a technology expert. Some practitioners said others thought Hao was a spy, which caused a big rift in the group. We then sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the attachments we identified. After the meeting, we all felt our dimensional fields had become much cleaner.

We contacted practitioners outside China and told them about Hao’s situation. They joined our efforts to rescue him by making truth-clarifying phone calls. Practitioners inside and outside China formed one body. We called the hospital, the public security departments, the lawyers, and ordinary people. The attending physician and the police asked us to tell the practitioners outside China not to call anymore. I said, “We don’t know who is calling you, but if you release Hao, they will stop.”

We visited Hao every day. His mother brought him an MP4 player. We studied the Fa, exchanged experiences, looked inward, and sent righteous thoughts with Hao. When Master’s new lecture was published, we printed it and secretly gave it to Hao. Because there was a camera, we read to him during the day, and he read under his blanket at night. He could soon recite the lecture. Afterwards, our righteous thoughts were strengthened.

When Hao’s mother sent righteous thoughts, she saw a disintegrating red demon—only its shell was left. We enlightened it was a hint from Master that the interference was about to be eliminated.

We contacted the director of the Domestic Security Division again. He made an appointment with us. I began by apologizing to him that I’d mentioned his son. He said, “That’s fine.” I told him, “Over 100 countries and regions in the world welcome Falun Dafa. Only the Chinese Communist Party persecutes the practice. Doesn’t the Chinese Constitution guarantee freedom of belief?” He replied, “If the CCP doesn’t allow it, you can’t practice it.”

I felt he was a kind man, but he had to follow orders. I told him about the retribution Zhou Yonghang and Bo Xilai (two former high-ranking CCP officials) had already suffered because they persecuted Falun Dafa.

I also reminded him of the policy the CCP had just implemented that whoever works in public security, the Procuratorate, or the court will be held responsible for the cases they handle in perpetuity. He listened and I asked him again, “Who did Hao hurt?” He replied, “This case is being handled by higher authorities. I don’t know the details.”

I told him I had been asking Hao to eat and pointed out he didn’t do anything wrong but was being treated like a criminal. “You are a kind person. Only you can help him.” He suddenly stood up and walked out of the room. I enlightened that the evil factors that had been manipulating him were dissolved.

Master said,

“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in springRighteous thoughts can save the people in this world”(“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,” Hong Yin II)

The director of the Domestic Security Division called us the next day and told us to talk to the director of the municipal police department. I felt that he was helping us secretly.

We asked the lawyer to accompany us to the police department. We easily passed through the heavily-guarded entrance. When we found the municipal officers, they looked upset and asked how we got in. We asked to talk to their director. We also pointed out they’d arrested Hao when he didn’t do anything wrong, and they could be responsible for his injuries. They didn't answer, lying that the director was in a meeting and that we had to write an appeal.

I wrote two pages, explaining the truth and the persecution Hao suffered, as well as a request for Hao's unconditional release. While I wrote, Hao’s parents kept sending righteous thoughts. Due to the power of their righteous thoughts, two police officers became so nervous that they kept sitting down and standing up and going in and out of the office.

The lawyer hinted to me to write slowly to exert more pressure on the police. The more the officers urged me to write quickly, the more I slowed down. When I finished, they handed the letter to the director of the police department. He said they would have a meeting and get back to us later.

Breaking Through the Interference

One week passed and nothing happened. The lawyer left because he had other cases to handle. I accompanied Hao's parents to the police department again. This time, the guards did not let us in. I waited in the reception room, refused to leave, and asked to see the director. Near the end of the day, the police officer in charge came.

He said they could release Hao, but we would have to pay the 200,000 yuan in medical expenses and find a guarantor for the release. Furthermore, Hao had to cooperate with them to complete a case statement. We replied, “We have no money. You caused the accident—you have to pay his medical bills!”

We updated the practitioners in our hometown every evening. They helped us plan the next steps and asked us to look inward. Hao found his attachments to lust and benefits. I discovered my attachments to competition and resentment, and Hao’s mother found her attachments of sentimentality and anxiety.

The other practitioners reminded us to negate the contracts we had signed with the old forces when we descended to this earthly realm. While I sent righteous thoughts, I saw a place that looked like a classroom. There were two rows of legal-size documents on the blackboard. Papers fell from above to the floor. All the documents had Chinese characters on them. I enlightened these were the contracts we signed that had been voided—Master was taking care of us.

The police officer in charge called us on a Thursday. He said that we wouldn’t need to pay the medical bills, but we had to cover the over 7000-yuan fee for the hospital attendant and that we still needed to find the guarantor for Hao's release on bail. They would then come to complete the procedures to release him on bail on Friday.

We studied the Fa while we waited Friday morning. Hao’s parents anxiously paced the room. Since I had gotten a hint from Master the previous night that I should keep calm, my heart stayed unmoved.

It was 10:30 a.m., and no one came. I reminded Hao to look inward further to see if he still had any hidden attachments. When he said he’d identified another attachment, I knew the evil factors in other dimensions had been completely eliminated.

I took Hao’s parents to eat lunch at a restaurant nearby. They were depressed and said they thought the situation was hopeless. I was not affected by their mood. Afterwards, they wanted to go back to the hotel. I understood. They had been under a lot of pressure. I told them I could see Hao myself that afternoon.

Seeing my determination, Hao’s parents didn’t go back to the hotel and accompanied me to the hospital. Just as we walked out the elevator on the 16th floor, we saw two police officers coming from Hao’s ward. They told us, “You don’t need to look for the guarantor anymore. His father can be the guarantor. But you still must persuade him to cooperate with us to complete a case statement. After lunch, we will do the procedures for his discharge.” I said calmly, “Okay, let me try.” I said in my heart repeatedly, “Thank you, Master! Thank you, Master!” I thought of the following passage of Master's Fa,

“...Remove your human thoughtsand evil will naturally die out”(“Don’t Be Sad,” Hong Yin II).

After we entered the ward, we quickly divided the tasks. Hao’s mother went to buy clothes for Hao while his father handled the discharge procedures. I then contacted local practitioners to find a place for Hao to stay.

The police took a case statement that afternoon. They then finished the procedures and left. I kept sending righteous thoughts. Looking at the panicked officers and seeing them taking off their coats and wiping their brows, I felt sympathy for them. I thought, “People are pitiful. Wake up quickly! Just do the right thing and ensure a good future for yourselves and your family members!”
