“The Master of Falun Saved My Entire Family!”
On a bus to visit a relative in the countryside, I thought the passenger next to me looked familiar and realized she was the mother of my elementary school classmate Xia. She also remembered me, as I used to play with her daughter all the time.
We chatted and I began to clarify the truth to her. She got excited and said, “It is the Master of Falun Dafa who saved my entire family!”
She said that her son, Xia’s younger brother, was diagnosed with lung cancer several years before. It was already end-stage and the doctor said there wasn’t anything they could do for him. He was only in his 30s and his child was still in elementary school. His family was grief-stricken.
One of his friends told him about Dafa and asked him to sincerely say, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He was skeptical at first. His friend urged him, “Your child is so young. Your family needs you to support them. Why don’t you just give it a try?” He promised to give it a try.
The mother believed what his friend told him and began to say the phrases daily, asking Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, to save her son.
A month later when her son went back to the hospital, the tumor was gone! Lab tests also indicated that his cancer cells were all cleared out! She knew Dafa’s Master had saved her family.
Protected in the Zhengzhou Flood
After I heard about the devastating flood in Zhengzhou, I called an old friend of mine who lives there and asked how he was. He told me that they had been hit hard, but since his house was located on higher ground, he was fine.
He also told me that many areas were flooded and things were chaotic. Many people had been trapped in the subway, including some who’d gone there for the air-conditioning. When the flood hit, many young people tried to run out, but the raging floodwaters swept them off their feet. Many were drowned. Nobody really knows exactly how many people died.
“What about your son?” I asked him.
“My son was at work when he saw what was happening and drove straight home. He knew the streets well, but he was afraid his car might not make it due to the high water. He kept saying, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ and took a long, winding route home. He called me when he got there to let me know that he was home safe.
“I had planned to call my son to remind him to say the phrases, but I was afraid to disturb him while he was driving. But I kept saying the phrases myself, hoping he would get home safely. The phrases are amazing!”
