(Minghui.org) As Dafa cultivators, we shouldn’t be commenting on any political party. If not for the persecution, we probably wouldn’t be exposing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), either. But especially in our truth-clarification efforts, we should stay rational and avoid making others think that we are “getting political.”

I’ve observed in many practitioners that, as soon as they start talking about the CCP, their voices immediately get louder and are full of strong emotion and resentment. I once saw a practitioner who’d left China not long before being interviewed. She was very gentle and sweet. But as soon as she began to talk about the CCP, her expression changed, and she looked tough and sounded aggressive. I was shocked.

I can fully understand the pain fellow practitioners have suffered in the persecution, especially when they’ve lost their loved ones and have seen their families of several generations fall apart. Such enormous pressure, fear, and pain can’t be described in words.

For non-practitioners, that might lead them to bear a grudge and be resentful. But for us, those are exactly the attachments we need to let go of. Think about it: Would a Buddha or Bodhisattva hate or resent anyone or anything?

It’s true that the CCP has committed unpardonable sins. But it’s merely low-level creatures created by the old forces to temper us. We Dafa practitioners are protected by Master and righteous gods. The reason why the CCP can persecute us is that it has taken advantage of our human thinking. When we resent it, we lower ourselves to its level and our understanding of the persecution is reduced to human beings persecuting other human beings.

If we actively resent the CCP, when we expose its crimes, we aren’t clarifying the facts but venting our own personal discontent. What we say won’t have the power to eliminate the evil or save people—and might even turn people away or push them to the opposite side. When we are preoccupied by resentment, we drop to the level of ordinary people and won’t be able to use our power cultivated in the Fa. How can an ordinary person fight a demon?

If we don’t get rid of our resentment for the CCP, it will then be easy for us to start to resent other things. To help us remove this attachment, we may encounter more and more situations or people that upset us or disturb us. That will further prevent people from coming to us to hear the truth and hinder the things we do from carrying the power of the Fa to eliminate the evil as it should.

People are waiting for us to save them. We shouldn’t let our attachments prevent them from being saved. We need to rise above and beyond the suffering and look at the CCP from the divine realm. Only when we clarify the truth free of attachments and emotions can we achieve the best result in helping people understand the facts and choose a bright future. Without human attachments, the Fa will give us more wisdom to clarify people’s misunderstandings. If that’s the case, maybe people will be more willing to listen to us again and won’t think we are “getting political” anymore.

The above is just my personal understanding. Please point out anything improper.
