Gothenburg, Sweden: The Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition Touches Viewers

(Minghui.org) The Gothenburg Book Fair 2022 was held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center in Sweden from September 22-25, 2022. Falun Gong practitioners brought the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) International Exhibition to the book fair. Many visitors were moved to tears by what was conveyed in the paintings.

The Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition drew many people to it during the book fair last year, so this year the fair organizers arranged for the exhibition booth to be next to the book fair’s customer service center. The organizers estimate that more than 82,000 people attended the fair this year.

Helen stopped at the exhibition and looked at each painting carefully. She listened to a guide’s explanation of what was being conveyed in the works.

“I felt that there was a special thing that drew me to come here today,” Helen said. “Now I can feel the meaning of each painting. The energy is special here.” She was a little excited and was moved to tears.

A visitor to the exhibition Helen, listened with great interest to a practitioner explain Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of the spiritual practice. Helen was interested in Falun Gong and said that she must learn to practice it.

She said excitedly, “I understand the purpose of my coming to the book fair today.” She had her photo taken with a practitioner.

Art Students Learn about the CCP’s Organ Harvesting

Kristina, a practitioner participating in the exhibition, is a ballet teacher and choreographer. She stood in front of a painting and told viewers that because the CCP knows that Falun Gong practitioners are physically and mentally healthy, it conducts organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. The CCP covers up its murderous crimes and blocks independent investigation by foreign organizations. Multiple national legislatures, parliaments, and human rights commissions have passed resolutions condemning the CCP’s crimes.

The young people listened with interest and said they were moved by the paintings’ deep meanings. One student said, “The paintings have perfect compositions and rich content.”

French Publisher Praises the Paintings

A French publisher who went to the exhibition said she was deeply touched by the paintings. She praised the superb skills of the artists. She said, “These paintings have strong messages and are moving.”

Many viewers expressed appreciation that the exhibition organizers had given them the opportunity to learn about Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution.

Organizer: The Exhibition Raises Awareness of the Persecution

Ann is Swedish and is a professional sculpture artist. She was one of the organizers of this exhibition. She has co-hosted 35 art exhibitions with other Falun Gong practitioners since 2011 to raise awareness of the CCP’s persecution.

“I hope that through the art exhibition, people can learn about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong,” Ann said. “We call on more kind people to help stop the CCP’s brutality.”

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why is the CCP persecuting it?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
