Additional Persecution News from China – October 23, 2022 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wu Rui and Ms. Li Ruihua Arrested
3. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners in Police Custody
4. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Ying Zhenqiang and Ms. Qiu Ye Arrested
5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xueying Arrested
6. [Shanghai] Mr. Kan Chaohua and Ms. Li Fuju Under 24-Hour Police Surveillance
7. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Practitioners Harassed and Detained
8. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Anzhe Arrested
9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Du Jinhai Arrested
10. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Min Taken to the Jilin Province Women's Prison

1. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ji Jinmu Faces Trial

Mr. Ji Jinmu will be tried by the Huangdao District Court in the 12th Court, Litigation Services Center, Dongfeng Road, Qingdao City, at 2:30 p.m. on October 25, 2022.

2. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wu Rui and Ms. Li Ruihua Arrested

Mr. Wu Rui and Ms. Li Ruihua of the Yuanzhou District were arrested at home on the evening of October 22, 2022. Their home was ransacked.

3. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Three Practitioners in Police Custody

Ms. Cao Ping, Ms. Du Fengying, and Mr. Chen Jun were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on September 24, 2022, when they were driving through Sanqiao. Some of the officers followed them. The others waited for them. Their homes were ransacked and they are in police custody.

4. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Ying Zhenqiang and Ms. Qiu Ye Arrested

Mr. Ying Zhenqiang of Jinyun County was arrested in his company in Huzhen Town around September 20, 2022. Ms. Qiu Ye of Gongqian Village, Huzhen Town, was arrested in October 2022.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xueying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xueying of Hongshan Town, Zichuan District, was arrested at the end of September 2022, when she went for a nucleic acid test. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Shanghai] Mr. Kan Chaohua and Ms. Li Fuju Under 24-Hour Police Surveillance

Mr. Kan Chaohua of the Pudong District and his wife, Ms. Li Fuju, have been under 24-hour police surveillance since October 1, 2022. The people who monitor him follow him and photograph him whenever he leaves home to dump trash or take a nucleic acid test.

7. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Practitioners Harassed and Detained

Mr. Li Yuanxin was arrested and taken to the Huainan City Brainwashing Center by local police and people from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee in September 2022.

Ms. Wang Meili was arrested and taken to the Huainan City Detention Center by officers from the Tianjiaan District Domestic Security Division in October 2022.

The homes of Ms. Hu Liangyu and Ms. Lin were ransacked by officers from the Tianjiaan District Domestic Security Division. The officers seized their Falun Gong books and materials.

Ms. Zhang Yanmei was arrested and taken to the Huainan Detention Center by officers from the Tianjiaan District Domestic Security Division on May 12, 2022. The officers ransacked her home and seized her computers, Falun Gong books, and other items. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Anzhe Arrested

Mr. Xu Anzhe of the Changping District was arrested by officers from the Tianbei Police Department in mid-October 2022 after the security camera system recorded him distributing Falun Gong flyers. His home was ransacked. He was released on bail pending trial due to his health.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Du Jinhai Arrested

Mr. Du Jinhai was arrested at home by officers from the Qiaodongjie Police Station and the Duerping Police Station on the afternoon of October 3, 2022, for mailing a letter to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

10. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Min Taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison

Ms. Jin Min was arrested in September 2020 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was secretly sentenced to six years by the Chuanying District Court. She appealed to the Jilin City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict without a hearing in March 2022. She was taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison on August 28, 2022.
