Additional Persecution News from China – October 13, 2022 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 35 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yaru Detained

Ms. Wang Yaru from Lishu County was arrested for distributing information about Falun Gong and has been held in the Siping City Detention Center for over a month.

2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Chunlan and Ms. Zhang Guixiang Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wang Chunlan and Ms. Zhang Guixiang from Fuyu Ranch in Fuyu County were arrested by officers from the Fuhai Town Police Station on October 11, 2022 for distributing information about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. They are currently detained in Fayu County.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yuan Jinghong Arrested and Detained

Ms. Yuan Jinghong, a retired teacher, was arrested by police for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 13, 2022. She is currently held in a detention house.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Gao Hong Faces Trial

Gao Hong (gender unknown) from the Qilu Petrochemical Company, was placed under residential surveillance by officers Han Junhu and Chang Jiang on August 29, 2022. Gao’s case was submitted to the Zichuan District Procuratorate on September 6, 2022 and is now in the court.

5. [Huolingol City, Inner Mongolia] Practitioner Huimin Detained

Huimin (surname and gender unknown) has been detained and may be sentenced to prison.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Gangli Detained

Ms. Liu Gangli was taken to No.2 Liaoning Women’s Prison on August 16, 2022. She was transferred to the No. 4 Ward on September 21, 2022.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Yuxia Arrested

About 16 or 17 officers from the Xiguang Police Station and the Changde Police Station in Kuancheng District went to Ms. Zhu Yuxia’s home at 5 p.m. on September 29, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, four computers, MP3 player, USB drives, and 18,000 yuan in cash. Ms. Zhu was taken to the police station for interrogation and was detained for 10 days. The detention center refused to admit her because of her poor health. Ms. Zhu was placed under residential surveillance. She was told to report to the police station once a day. On October 10, 2022 she left home to avoid the persecution.

8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed

Officers in groups of two or three from the Jianbei Police Station in the Chang’an District harassed several practitioners in September 2022. They took photos of the practitioners. The practitioners who were harassed include: Chen Jing, Wang Ruo’e, Jiao Meishan, Wang Fengcun, Zhao Fengxian, Li Hui, Liu Xiufang, and Li Shulin.

9. [Zhangwu County, Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed

Six practitioners were harassed at home by police in the afternoon of September 26, 2022. The practitioners include: Chen Shaojie, Xiong Suxiang, Jie Caiyun, Chen Suxiang, Wu Guirong, and Qi Guiying. Two officers from the Chengbei Police Station went to Qi Guiying’s home and photographed her on September 26, 2022. On October 5, 2022 they called her and told her to go to the Chengbei Police Station.

Bai Xiqin and Zhang Yanjun were harassed at home three times in August, on September 15 and September 28, 2022. The officers photographed them and forced them to sign papers.

10. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Huijuan and Ms. Tan Shaomin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Huijuan and Ms. Tan Shaomin were arrested by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station in the Xinfu District at 3 p.m. on October 7, 2022. They were placed under 10-day detention.

11. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Huiping Arrested and Detained

Ms. Liu Huiping, 59, was arrested at home at noon on September 26, 2022. She was placed under administrative detention and held for 15 days in the Yujiahe Detention House. She was then placed under criminal detention and continued being detained.

12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Kong Qingzhi Harassed

The police went to Ms. Kong Qingzhi’s home in the Nangang District on October 7, 2022. Ms. Kong’s family were told to go to the police station and sign a statement to guarantee that they would not talk to people about the persecution during the CCP’s Congress in October 2022.

13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Five practitioners from the Jiangxia District including Chen Jun, Tian Huazhen, Li Chunlian, Qiu Yongzhi and Zhang Jiao’e, were arrested by officers from the Zhifang Police Station at Chen Jun’s home on June 16, 2022. Three elderly practitioners: Tian Huazhen, Zhang Jiao’e and Qiu Yongzhi have been detained in the No.1 Women’s Detention Center. Chen Jun and Li Chunlian have been detained in the Wanji Mental Hospital.

Li from the Zhifang Police Station carried out the procedure of bail pending trial for Chen Jun and Li Chunlian at the end of July 2022. However, the practitioners have not been released despite their family members requesting repeatedly that they be released.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Chunshu Arrested

Ms. Liu Chunshu lives in the Shangnaishan Village, Qianjiadian Town, Yanqing District. She was arrested by officers from the Qianjiadian Town Police Station on October 9, 2022. Her home was ransacked.

15. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Zhang Fuling and Dong Deqin Harassed

Officers from the Wutai Township Police Station have harassed Zhang Fuling and Dong Deqin in the Shuanglong Village since July 16, 2022. They photographed the practitioners.

16. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms Qi Guiling Arrested

Ms. Qi Guiling from Fengtaizhuang, Yaodianzi Town, was arrested on September 18, 2022. She was held for 15 days in a detention house and is now back home.
