(Minghui.org) My husband recently overheard former classmates chatting about Falun Dafa at a reunion. He told them that I practice Falun Dafa, and one of his classmates said he wanted to talk to me. He was a gangster before the Cultural Revolution and always fought with others. No one dared to provoke him.
He came to visit us a few days later and said, “I want to talk to you about Falun Dafa.” I told him, “Okay, let’s start with the staged self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square”
“No!” he interrupted. “I already know about that. I want to know why you practice Falun Dafa.” I explained how my family believes in Buddhism. A friend took me to a Buddhist monastery in 1991. The abbot was over 80 years old, and he told me: “You were a cultivator in your previous life. But at the final moment, you didn’t succeed. Now you have reincarnated into a human again. You must cultivate well this time.” So I became a Buddhist and started to meditate and practice cultivation.
Every time I went to the temple, the abbot would point out my various human attachments through storytelling. I improved quickly, but after the abbot passed away, there was no one to guide me.
A friend later gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun. This was in 1997. I read it for a whole day and all the questions I had in life were answered. I could see Master Li Hongzhi (the founder) when I was meditating at night. From then on, I’ve been in good health and have had no need to take medicine or to see a doctor.
My husband’s classmate said. “I met a woman in the grocery store. She asked me to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and said doing so would bring me blessings. I didn’t listen and left. What was that all about?”
“Countless people have been killed by the CCP during its political movements,” I replied, “They targeted good people. You should know about the Cultural Revolution and theTiananmen Square Massacre. Falun Dafa teaches us to be good and to discipline ourselves with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It elevates the morality of society. What’s wrong with that? But the CCP arrests, imprisons, and tortures practitioners. The Party even harvests their organs for profit.
“Good will be rewarded; evil will be punished - That’s a law of the universe. When you joined the Party and its youth organizations, it made you raise your fist to its flag and vow to follow it forever, even if that would cost you your life. You became part of the CCP, so when it is punished by heaven, you will bear a share.
“People should cherish their own lives. For the sake of your safety and that of your family, you must release this oath by declaring that you quit the CCP and its organizations. You also need to remember, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ When it comes to the end of the CCP, you won’t be held responsible for its sins and you’ll be blessed. Do you understand? If you have joined the Party, just quit it. Tell your family about it.”
He said he would get back to me in a few days. I also gave him a copy of the software to break through the Internet firewall.
He looked very happy the next time I saw him. He said, “The software you gave me is so great. I read that the Ministry of Public Security has made it clear that Falun Dafa is not among the 14 cults listed and is completely legal to practice in China. I couldn’t believe it when I first heard about organ harvesting of practitioners. It’s all true! The CCP’s stuff I read or watched was all fake news. I discovered the truth after using the software. I won’t be fooled by the CCP anymore. My family and I want to quit the Party. Thank you!”
He often comes to visit and asks us questions whenever he has them. His expression and tone has changed a lot. He is like a new person. I’m really happy for him. He has chosen a good future for himself and his family.
