(Minghui.org) Cultivation is a spiritual path from being human to cultivating godhood. As long as a cultivator still has a human body, he will harbor human thinking. That is why we are reminded often to study the Fa well. If we slack off in Fa study, we will be easily influenced by our own human thinking and taken advantage of by beings in other dimensions.

Only when we pay close attention when studying the Fa, will we be enlightened to the teachings and elevate; otherwise, we may fall in our cultivation levels without knowing it.

The same issue also pertains to doing the exercises and it all depends on what mindset we have. When we do the exercises with a tranquil mind, we will feel great afterward and full of energy; we won’t achieve much by just doing the movements, with our minds occupied with all kinds of wild thoughts. If we take doing the exercises as a task to accomplish, the result might not be good. Don’t some fellow practitioners fall asleep while meditating?

When fellow practitioners are not able to pay attention and fall asleep while sending forth righteous thoughts, this is another problem of not treating cultivation seriously.

Some might think it is hard to remain diligent at all times, but we have to be aware that cultivation is very serious and takes perseverance. If it is that easy, who wouldn’t cultivate it?

Master told us:

“Dafa is solemn, and cultivation is a serious matter—it’s not child’s play.” (Teachings at the Conference in the Eastern U.S.)

In fact, if one really takes cultivation seriously and minds minor details, cultivating Dafa will not be that difficult, and there might be fewer tribulations and more smooth sailing.
