1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ren Yulin Sentenced

Mr. Ren Yulin was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is being held in room 320, Harbin City No.1 Detention Center. He is appealing the sentence.

2. [Pingyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiaoxia and Ms. Cao Xiaoyan Detained Over Two Months

Ms. Li Xiaoxia and Ms. Cao Xiaoyan have been detained for over two months since they were arrested in early November 2021. Ms. Li was formally arrested and is being held in the Dezhou City Detention Center. Ms. Cao is being held in the Pingyuan County Detention Center. Guards tried to force them to sign the three statements renouncing Falun Gong.

They were among the nine practitioners, including Yu Yongping (gender unknown) and Qin Lanxiang (gender unknown), who were arrested on November 2, 2021, by officers from the Dezhou City Police Department and the Pingyuan County Police Department. Their homes were ransacked.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners’ Appeals Denied

Mr. Liu Weili, Ms. Zhang Zhilan, Ms. Wang Huilin, and Mr. Zuo Desheng were sentenced by the Luannan Court on August 17, 2021. Their appeals were denied.

Mr. Liu was sentenced to nine years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. Ms. Wang was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. Mr. Zuo was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 4,000 yuan.

On January 13, 2022, agents from the Luannan Court delivered the Tangshan Intermediate Court’s ruling, which affirmed the sentences.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Kai Sentenced

Mr. Zhao Kai was sentenced to a year in prison. His parent-in-laws passed away within six months after he was arrested because of the overwhelming mental stress. His wife and their two-year-old daughter live without any income and struggle to support themselves.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Weiqin Arrested

Ms. Chen Weiqin, 82, was arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security Division.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Xiaotao Arrested

Xiaotao, nickname and gender unknown, distributed Falun Gong flyers in the Wuchang District on the afternoon of January 7, 2022. Xiaotao was arrested near his or her home at sunset. Officers from the local police station ransacked Xiaotao’s home the next day.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Duan Guixiu and Ms. Shao Guiqiu Formally Arrested

Ms. Duan Guixiu has been under house arrest after she was released on January 7, 2022, because she did not pass the physical examination. She was formally arrested on December 14, 2021.

Ms. Shao Guiqiu was released on December 31, 2021, because she did not pass the physical examination. She was formally arrested.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Xuekun and Ms. Bai Shuhui Arrested

Mr. Xu Xuekun and his wife, Ms. Bai Shuhui, were arrested at home by officers from the Dashiwo Town Police Station on January 13, 2022.

9. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Daughter Arrested Following Four Practitioners’ Arrest

Ms. Liu Zhaiyun, Hou Shuyuan (gender unknown), Ms. Hu Xiumei, and Su Chunfeng (gender unknown) were arrested by officers from the Xinhua Domestic Security Division around 11:00 p.m. on January 11, 2022, when they were distributing Falun Gong flyers in a suburb.

Officers from the Xinhua Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Liu’s daughter around 4:00 p.m. on January 13. They used a surveillance system to monitor her family members.

10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yafen Harassed

Ms. Li Yanfen was harassed by clerks from the Huancheng Town Comprehensive Office in April 2021. They ordered her to sign the three statements renouncing Falun Gong. She refused.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Hefang Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Hefang, a nurse at the Pinggu Hospital, was arrested on August 26, 2021. She has been held in the Pinggu Detention Center. She will be tried in the Pinggu Court at 9:30 a.m. on January 21, 2022.

12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Shenze County Practitioners Arrested

Practitioners in Shenze County were arrested after midnight on January 10, 2022. Shenzi County police broke doors, climbed over fences, arrested practitioners at home, and seized their Falun Gong materials, computers and other items.

The arrested practitioners include Ms. Zhang Yingjuan, Ms. He Xiuling, and Hui Xin of Shenze Town; Ma Tongxin, Ms. Jiao Yaqin, and Ji Feng of Zhaoba Township; Ms. He Hongyan, Mr. Liu Baoxin (Ms. He’s husband), Ms. Liu Haiqin, Ms. Liu Yuru, Mr. Li Wu, He Erli, Liu Xiaomiao and Shu Fen of Liucun Township; Qin Ru of Baizhuang Township; and Du Guofang of Tiegan Township.

13. [Beijing] Mr. Tai Hongquan and Mr. Yang Hemei Face Indictment

The cases against Mr. Tai Hongquan and his wife, Ms. Yang Hemei, were submitted to the First Branch of Beijing Procuratorate. They were arrested at 5:00 p.m. on December 14, 2021, and have been detained for 30 days.

14. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Xing Gezhen Detained

Xing Gezhen, gender unknown, was arrested on the evening of January 11, 2022, by officers from the Pingcheng District Police Department, the Xinhuajie Police Station, the Nanguan Police Station, and the Chengqu Domestic Security Division. Xing’s home was ransacked. Xing is being detained and held at the Datong City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in quarantine.

15. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Li Bing Held in Brainwashing Center

Li Bing, gender unknown, is an employee of the Shandong Province Shengli Oil Field. After being illegally held in the Jishu Brainwashing Center for over 20 days, Li is being held in the Shengcai Brainwashing Center of Shengli Oil Field. Four employees of the oil field watched Li, but they left.

16. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Weiqin Arrested

Ms. Chen Weiqin was arrested and taken to a police station by agents from the Yangpu 610 Office and police on January 4, 2022. She was released around 1:00 p.m. the same day.

17. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yao Lishu Arrested

Mr. Yao Lishu was arrested by officers from the Xifeng District Domestic Security Division on January 4, 2022.

18. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Li Ping, Mr. Tian Yunbo, and Ms. Zhang Xiaohua will be tried in the No. 21 Court of the Wuhua District Court at 2:00 p.m. on January 18, 2022.

19. [Huili City, Sichuan Province] Court Hears Practitioners’ Pension Cases

The Huili City court heard Ms. Luo Jiping’s pension suspension case on January 10, 2022. It was said that the decision would be made after collegial panel deliberations were held.

Three practitioners, Ms. Zheng Qiong, Ms. Ma Lingxian, and Mr. Xu Shikai, charged the City Human Resources and Social Security Bureau with illegally suspending their pensions. The Huili City Court will hear their cases on January 17 and 18, 2022.

20. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qiu Yunfeng Sentenced to Three Years

Ms. Qiu Yunfeng was arrested along with Mr. Wang Meiqing, Mr. Liu Xin'an and Ms. Deng Yongmei, on April 15, 2021, after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. It was previously reported that Ms. Qiu was released and cleared of charges. But it was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that she was sentenced to three years and fined 10,000 yuan by the Dangyang City Court. The other three practitioners have also been sentenced from six months to two and a half years.
