1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Song Yucen Abused in Prison

Mr. Song Yucen was transferred to the Dalian City Prison from the Xinrujian Prison on August 15, 2021. His family learned that he was beaten in prison. He had many lumps on his head, a big black lump on the back of his head, and a bleeding wound behind his left ear.

2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Thirteen Practitioners Sentenced

Thirteen practitioners in the Fengnan District were tried by the Luannan Court on July 20, 2021. Three court clerks delivered the eleven judgments on the morning of August 27, 2021.

Liu Weili was sentenced to nine years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan.Zhang Zhilan was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.Wang Huilin was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan.Li Yuying was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation, and fined 4,000 yuan.Hu Yincang was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation, and fined 4,000 yuan.Lu Lifa was sentenced to 18 months in prison and two years of probation, and fined 4,000 yuan.Zuo Desheng was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 4,000 yuan.Cui Shuyu was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation, and fined 2,000 yuan.Hou Jianguang was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation, and fined 2,000 yuan.Wang Baozhu was sentenced to 11 months in prison and one year of probation, and fined 2,000 yuan.Bi Guanqin was sentenced to six months in prison and one year of probation, and fined 1,000 yuan.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yumei on Trial

Ms. Gao Yumei, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Xiaojinqiao Police Station on October 19, 2020, after someone reported her when she hung a Falun Gong banner. She was released on bail on October 20 because she had a big lump in her abdomen.

Agents from the Yuhong District Procuratorate got her confession on July 20, 2021. The Yuhong District Court notified her that the court accepted her case and the hearing was scheduled for August 13.

4. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Charges Against Four Practitioners Altered

Ms. Cheng Liping, Ms. Yang Jinfeng, Ms. Wan Xiaoping, and Ms. Wan Jinlian received “Change of Prosecution Decision” from the Xihu District Procuratorate on August 26, 2021. The decision was delivered by Prosecutor He Ziying and assistant Li Jiacong.

Ms. Wan Xiaoping, Ms. Yang, and Ms. Chen were arrested by officers from the Donghu Police Department on July 18, 2019. Ms. Wan Jinlian was arrested by an officer from the Donghu Police Department on September 6, 2019. The Xihu District Court heard their cases on the morning of December 21, 2020, and issued sentences on January 4, 2021. Ms. Chen, Ms. Wan Xiaoping, and Ms. Yang were each sentenced to four years and two months in prison and fined 30,000 yuan. Ms. Wan Jinlian was sentenced to a year in prison and fined 5,000 yuan.

Ms. Chen, Ms. Wang Xiaoping, and Ms. Yang appealed to the Nanchang City Intermediate Court in mid-January 2021. The intermediate court remanded their cases to the Xihu District Court in early March 2021. The practitioners were not notified of the reason for the remand. Ms. Wan Jinlian, 70, did not appeal. She was also notified of retrial on March 22, 2021.

5. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Shen Xiaohui Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Shen Xiaohui is held in the Xiangshan Brainwashing Center. Several people from the Wangchun Street Police Station, and residential committee pried open her door and forcibly took her to the center on August 27, 2021.

6. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Wang Xuejun and Li Xiaoling Harassed

Wang Xuejun (gender unknown) and Li Xiaoling (gender unknown) were harassed by police. Seven or eight officers went to their Parent Teacher Associate, threatened to suspend Wang’s salary if he or she continued to practice Falun Gong. They ordered the associate to monitor and report Wang’s activities.

7. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Mao Shufen Harassed

Ms. Mao Shufen was harassed at home by officer Fang Bensheng and others from the Yingchun Forestry Police Station on August 25, 2021. The officers videotaped the interior of her house. She told them to stop.

8. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wu Baoku and Ms. Liu Huanying Detained

Mr. Wu Baoku was arrested by officers from the Didao Domestic Security Division on August 9, 2021. He was detained for eight days and released on August 17.

Ms. Liu Huanying was arrested by officers from the Didao Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 11, 2021. She was detained for eight days in the Mishan Detention Center and released on August 19.

9. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Harassed by Police

Liu Zhiying, Liu Huifen, Xiaohuozi (nickname), Li Xifeng, Guo Zhihua, Zhang Guilan, An Xiurong, Li Dianli, Chen Guolin, Xie Shufen, and Wu Yulian were harassed by officers from the Nanguan Police Station.

Jia Yuxin, Sheng Liqing, Zhang Lijuan, Wang Junhua, Xu Guanghua, and Liu Hui were harassed by officers from the Huangcheng Police Station.

Huang Jianhong was harassed by officers from the Jianguojie Police Station.

Shen Meihua was harassed by officers from the Shichangjie Police Station.

Sun Ming and Wu Xiong were harassed by officers from the Xuangang Police Station.

Wang Yi was harassed by officers from the Pangjiabao Town Police Station.

Li Fengzhi was harassed by officers from the Chongli District Police Station.

Lu Fenglian and Shen Zhigang were harassed by officers from the Xicheng Police Station, Yangyuan County.

10. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Wang Baoying Detained

Wang Baoying (gender unknown) from Xingcheng City was arrested on August 27, 2021, by officers from the Sandaogou Police Station, agents from the Sandaogou Township Comprehensive Management Office, and officers from Xingcheng City. The group confiscated all the Falun Gong items hanging on Wang’s wall.

Wang was being held in the Huludao City and a family visit would be allowed 48 hours later.

11. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Qiyao Disappeared

Mr. Li Qiyao disappeared after he noticed suspicious persons around the entrance of his building on the morning of August 20, 2021. His whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Guixiang Harassed

Ms. Cai Guixing has frequently received harassing calls from the community director Wang in the past 30 days. Wang demanded Ms. Cai give up practicing Falun Gong and tried to force her to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

13. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Mass Harassment Against Practitioners

Since July 2021 officers from the Dingxingludong Police Station frequently went to practitioners’ homes to harass them. Tian Qingru, Liu Shuling, Yang Shilin, Zhu Guizhi, and other practitioners were harassed at home on July 14, 2021. Some were videotaped. Others were photographed. Some were not at home, but their families were harassed.

Ms. Zhang (first name unknown) from Penggezhuang was harassed and videotaped at home in mid-August 2021 by officers from the Liyuzhuang Police Station. The officers threatened to jail her in a detention center.

Since August 2021 officers from the Dingxingluxi Police Station frequently went to practitioners’ homes to harass them. Lu Guihuan was harassed at home by instructor Liu Chang and other officers from the police station on the morning of August 24, 2021. They videotaped and photographed the interior of her home, and asked if she still practiced Falun Gong.

Xu Junduo was harassed at work by Liu Chang and officers on the afternoon of August 25, 2021. They videotaped and photographed the interior of Xu’s workplace, and asked if Xu still practiced Falun Gong.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liang’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Liang (first name unknown) has not returned home since she went out to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on August 26, 2021. Her daughter said police ransacked her home.

15. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ying and Mr. Li Long Harassed

The home of Ms. Wang Ying and her son, Mr. Li Long, was ransacked by officers from the Haibin Police Department and the Chaoyang Police Station on July 15, 2021. The officers confiscated their Falun Gong books, picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, U-drivers, discs, video players, audio players, and other items.

The mother and son were harassed at work by officers from the Haibin Police Department and the Chaoyang Police Station on August 25, 2021. Ms. Wang was forcibly taken to the police station from her office by officer Ma Yuqiang and others from the Chaoyang Police Station, where she was interrogated. Another four or five officers went to Mr. Li’s workplace intending to take him away.

16. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Bifang Arrested

Ms. Zheng was arrested at home on August 16, 2021, by seven officers from the Shifang Police Department. The officers went to her home after 7:00 a.m. They did not show any permits or their identity cards. They seized items worth over 2,000 yuan and took her to the police station.

She was released after officers called her son to the police station and had him sign a document to release her on bail.

17. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Wang Changlu was harassed at home by two officers from the Shengjing Police Station on the morning of August 25, 2021. The officers seized his Falun Gong books and other items.

Wu Aihong, Jia Kaixing, Tian Ai, and Song Shou’e were harassed at home by people from the town’s 610 Office, police station, and village committee on July 21, 2021.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Jingxiu Arrested

Ms. Liu Jingxiu and her husband were arrested at home and taken to the police station on August 23, 2021 by five people from the Tongyuanju Police Station and the Comprehensive Management Office. Their computers, picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, paper currency worth over 400 yuan with Falun Gong messages printed on them, USB drives, and two cell phones were confiscated.

While at the police station the couple did not comply with the officers’ orders. Ms. Liu’s arm was sprained after she was pulled by officers. The couple was released ten hours later.

19. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Qingfei Arrested, His Wife Ms. Guan Juxia Escaped

Mr. Liu Qingfei, in his 70s, was arrested. Officers from the Domestic Security Division ransacked his home on August 27, 2021, and seized his computer, printer, and Falun Gong printouts.

His wife, Ms. Guan Juxia, in her 70s, escaped. She is staying away from home to avoid further persecution.

20. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Hongjun Harassed

Mr. Zhou Hongjun was harassed at home by deputy head Xiang Xiaoyang from the county Domestic Security Division, agents from the county Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and clerks from the community on August 23, 2021. They ordered him to sign three statements renouncing Falun Gong. He refused. Then they threatened not to process his retirement benefit next year. Despite the pressure he refused to sign the three statements.

He was repeatedly harassed at home by Xiang Xiaoyang and officers from the local police station in the following days.

21. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Disappear

Mr. Tian Yunbo, Ms. Zhang Xiaohua, and Mr. Lu (first name unknown, Ms. Zhang’s husband) disappeared after they went out on August 17, 2021. They may have been arrested.

22. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Feng Xingxiu Arrested

Ms. Feng Xingxiu, 78, was arrested when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Gaoping Town on the morning of August 7, 2021. Four officers ransacked her home and seized her Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong printouts. She was released at 7:00 p.m.
