1. [Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province] Case against Ms. Li Caiping Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Li Caiping was arrested on May 23, 2021, by people from the Yuyao City Domestic Security Division, the Lizhou Police Station, and the Lizhou Sub-district Administration Office. The case against her was turned over to the Yuyao City Procuratorate.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Junjiang, his wife Ms. Song Fengju, Ms. Lian Xiang, Qu (gender unknown), and Wei Zhenlin (gender unknown) were arrested by seven or eight officers from the Quzhou County Police Department and the Baizhai Township Police Station when they were reading the Falun Gong teachings together on the evening of June 28, 2021. They are being held in the basement of the police department. It was reported that Mr. Zhang and his wife Ms. Song are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Police stations in various townships in Xinmin City harassed local Falun Gong practitioners from May to June, 2021, and pressured them to give up their belief.

Officers from the Xinglongpu Police Station knocked on the windows at Mr. Wang Yingxian’s home in Dalama Village at 10:30 one evening and told him to come out. Mr. Wang, who had gone to bed, told them, “You are harassing residents at night.” The officers said they had been there three times. They took some photos outside the window with their cell phones and said that they had to do this in order to complete their assigned tasks.

Officers from the Hongqi Township Police Station went to Mr. Li Mingjun’s home in the Xiaobaiqipu Village in late May, and arrested him. They confiscated his Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. The officers took him to the police station and pressured him to sign a sheet which contained words that slandered Dafa. He refused. Mr. Li’s family went to the police station and brought him back.

In late May, officers from the Hongqi Township Police Station went to the home of the son of practitioner Wei Yuqing (gender unknown) in the village. They told Wei’s daughter-in-law to tell Wei not to practice Falun Gong. They grabbed a book and took some photos, saying that they needed these to complete their assigned tasks.

Officers from the Hongqi Township Police Station went to the home of Long Quanyi (gender unknown) in late May, and told Long not to practice Falun Gong. Long sternly refused their demand.

In early June, three people, including the director of the Hongqi Township Police Station and Fan Hongwei, went to Ms. Dong Shuyun’s home in Xiaobaiqipu Village. They turned on the body cameras on their shoulders and also took photos with their cell phones. They told Ms. Dong not to practice Falun Gong and not to display photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Dong did not allow them to take away her photos of Falun Gong’s founder.

Mu Yao and Tan Yuwen (their genders are unknown) were harassed over the phone by police. Ms. Wang Jing was harassed at her mother’s home by the police. Ms. Hui Liqi was harassed at her workplace by the police. Mr. Cao Yang was harassed over the phone by the police and was asked to have a “talk.”

Practitioner Gao (gender unknown) was arrested and was told to give up Falun Gong. Gao refused.

Police officers called Mr. Wu Junde and told him they would come to his home. Mr. Wu was not at home. His daughter stopped two officers in their residential community from going to the family’s home. The officers photographed her.

4. [Yong’an City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun and Her Brother Mr. Zuo Fusheng Brutally Persecuted

Ms. Zuo Xiuyun was arrested on the morning of June 19, 2021, by officers from the Yong’an City Domestic Security Division and the Fuzhou City Domestic Security Division at the home of Ms. Wang Xiuqing, who she was taking care of.

The officers searched Ms. Wang’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and some electronic devices, but did not provide a list of the items taken.

Ms. Zuo is being held in the Yong’an Brainwashing Center and is not allowed to contact her family.

Ms. Zuo had previously been sentenced to prison four times for practicing Falun Gong (with terms of three years, six years, three and a half years, and five years). She suffered all kinds of inhuman torture and was held in prison for a total of nearly 18 years. She was expelled from her position as a teacher by Fujian railway officials.

After being released from prison on December 27, 2020, her brother Mr. Zuo Fusheng took her to his home in Fuzhou. Mr. Zuo was twice taken to forced labor camps (with terms of 18 months and 26 months), and was sentenced to six years in prison. In the Fuqing Prison he was suspended in the air for six hours after being brutally beaten. The abuse caused permanent loss of eyesight in one of his eyes.

5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Longfeng Police Station went to the homes of Ms. Lei Zhoulan, Ms. Zhang Cuixian, and Ms. Zeng Fanfeng and took photos with their cell phones on the afternoon of June 25, 2021. When they went to Ms. Zeng’s home, she stopped them from taking photos.

They went to Ms. Lei’ home and tore down the New Year paintings displayed on the wall. Ms. Lei tried to stop them. They said they would take the paintings back so that they could complete their assigned task.

6. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Luo and Luo Yanwen Arrested

Practitioner Luo (gender unknown) was arrested at home by officers from the Zhongyi Police Station on June 26, 2021. Luo is being held in the Macheng City No. 2 Detention Center.

Luo Yanwen (gender unknown) from Zhongyi Township was arrested by officers from the police station on June 20. Luo Yanwen is still being held in the detention center.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Qiulan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiulan from Hailin City was arrested by officers from the No. 1 Police Station and the Domestic Security Division at 4 a.m. on June 10, 2021. Her husband was frightened and had a heart attack that morning.

Ms. Zhang was interrogated for seven to eight hours and placed in detention. Ms. Zhang did not cooperate or sign paperwork. She was given a nucleic acid test, and then taken to the Hailin City Hospital for a physical examination and blood tests.

Ms. Zhang was then taken back to the police station. The officers asked her husband to sign a guarantee statement before releasing her. After she was arrested, her home was ransacked again.

8. [Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Tang Huafeng Detained

Ms. Tang Huafeng from the Yuci District was reported to the police for telling people about Falun Gong at the local farmers market on June 12, 2021. She was arrested and taken to the police station. She was detained for 15 days.

Ms. Tang was taken to the hospital on June 27 for a physical examination and a nucleic acid test. Afterwards, she was transferred to the Xinhua Street Police Station, where she was held indefinitely pending a so-called “investigation.” The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a handwritten copy of a Falun Gong book and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Tang was previously sentenced to three years and six months in prison in 2014.

9. [Chengde County, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Weixin Held in Detention Center

Mr. Hu Weixin was arrested at home on the afternoon of May 7, 2021. He has been held in the Chengde County Detention Center.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Xiling Arrested

Ms. Yan Xiling was arrested at her rented home on the morning of June 22, 2021.

11. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Hongxin and Family Harassed

Two officers from the Nanpi Town Police Station went to Ms. Zhou Hongxin’s home on the evening of June 24, 2021. At that time, only Ms. Zhou’s child was at home and was doing schoolwork. The two officers kept calling Ms. Zhou’s husband and pressuring him to persuade his wife to videotape herself and sign paperwork, otherwise they said they would go to his work unit.

12. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Case against Mr. Cheng Yuanyi Turned Over To Procuratorate

Director Tao and officer Zhang from the Yongchang Police Station went to Mr. Cheng Yuanyi’s home and arrested him on May 18, 2021. They said that this was related to Mr. Cheng’s talking to people about Falun Gong on the street in August 2020.

Mr. Cheng was taken to a detention center. During a physical examination his blood pressure readings reached 230/110 mmHg. He was rejected twice by the detention center both times he was taken there. Mr. Cheng’s case was turned over to the Zhen’an District Procuratorate.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ye Yu and Sun Yuyun Arrested

Ye Yu (gender unknown) from Jiaozhou City was arrested on June 2, 2021.

Sun Yuyun (gender unknown) from Jiaozhou City was arrested by more than twelve officers from the Shanghe Police Station on June 3. Sun was released on bail on June 13 due to high blood pressure.

14. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Jinfeng Harassed Repeatedly

Party secretary Liu Hui, of the Fuxing Community Management Office, and Guan Yuwei, a staff member, harassed Ms. Xu Jinfeng repeatedly in mid-June 2021.

During the first harassment, staff members Guan and He Lijuan went to Ms. Xu’s home and pressured her to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong, which she refused to do.

The second time, Party secretary Liu, Guan, and two other women went to Ms. Xu’s home and harassed her.

The third time, Guan went to Ms. Xu’s home and tried to photograph her mother, who is also a practitioner. Ms. Xu did not allow them to photograph her mother.

The fourth time, Liu, Guan, and two other women went to Ms. Xu’s home. They claimed they found her a job. Guan photographed the interior of her home, saying it was to gather housing statistics.

15. [Beijing] Mr. Guan Yingshan and Wife Ms. Du Guiqin Monitored Around the Clock

Mr. Guan Yingshan and his wife Ms. Du Guiqin from the Chaoyang District have been frequently harassed by the police and residential committee personnel. They have recently been monitored around the clock. People were stationed outside the door as well as downstairs to keep an eye on the couple.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ji Jinmu Detained

Mr. Ji Jinmu was taken to a detention center in the Chengyang District on June 25, 2021.

17. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guofen Harassed

A staff member of the Jiutai District Political and Legal Affairs Committee called the officials at Ms. Wang Guofen’s work unit on the morning of June 28, 2021. The staff member then called Ms. Wang, who was not at home. Her family answered the phone. The staff member told her family to tell Ms. Wang to go to the committee to sign paperwork, otherwise she would lose her job. The staff member claimed that this was required by the Changchun City Political and Legal Affairs Committee. Later, the staff member made another phone call, saying that if Ms. Wang did not return the phone call within half an hour, her situation would be reported to the Changchun City Political and Legal Affairs Committee. Ms. Wang did not cooperate.

18. [Beijing] Two Practitioners Arrested, One Harassed

Ms. Wu Fangling from Yanqing County was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Yanqing Police Station on the evening of June 27, 2021.

Ms. You Chunling from Miyun County was harassed at home by officers from the Xiwengzhuang Town Police Station around June 20, 2021. Without permission, these people used their body cameras to take photos and asked her if she still practiced Falun Gong. They threatened her and told her not to go out around July 1, which marked the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party.

Mr. Niu Beiyan from Fangshan District was followed to his work unit by police officers after he was spotted distributing Falun Gong materials on the morning of June 21, 2021. He was subsequently arrested by more than twelve officers from the Gongchen Police Station. He was placed under criminal detention and is being held in the Fangshan Detention Center.

19. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Hongling and Her Husband Arrested, Their Home Ransacked

Three officers led by deputy director Ni of the Chunliu Police Station in Shahekou District waited outside of Ms. Xu Hongling’s home on June 3, 2021. When her husband came home and opened the door, they followed him into the couple’s home.

They presented their IDs and conducted a search. They left without finding what they wanted. They returned about ten minutes later and took away a printer and two computers. Ms. Xu and her husband were taken to the police station. Later, the officers took Ms. Xu’s husband back home and ransacked the place. They confiscated the couple’s Falun Dafa books, Minghui Weekly, DVDs, and U discs.

Ms. Xu was taken to the Jinjiajie Detention Center on June 4 for five days of detention. After she returned home, she and her husband went to the police station and asked the officers to return the confiscated items. The officers returned only two computers.

20. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Qianwan and Two Family Members Arrested

Mr. Wu Qianwan, 54, is from Shandong Province and lives in Xinghehaoyue Residential Community, Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, Hebei Province.

Mr. Wu, his wife Ms. Wang Aiying, 46, and their daughter Ms. Wu Lina, 12, were arrested by officers from the Yanjiao Police Station and the Sanhe City Police Department on the afternoon of June 24, 2021. The officers confiscated two printers, a binding machine, several computers, and printed materials.

Mr. Wu and his daughter were released that night. Ms. Wang was held in the Yanshun Road Police Station overnight and returned home at 3 p.m. the following day.

21. [Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

The Wangcang County police harassed Falun Gong practitioners from February to June 2021.

Officers from the Donghe Town Police Station, in Wangcang County, called Ms. Zhang Shufang’s family prior to Lunar New Year’s Day on February 12, 2021. They asked about her whereabouts, and told them that she should not to go out. On the morning of June 4, the officers called Ms. Zhang and told her to go to the police station to fill out a form, which she refused.

Four officers from the Donghe Town Police Station went to Ms. Tan Ping’s home on February 9. They rummaged around the house, threatened the family, and left. The officers called Ms. Tan at 3 p.m. on June 4 and asked her to go to the police station to fill out a form. She did not go. The officers went to her home again on June 18 and pressured her to sign paperwork, which she refused.

Officers from the Zhicheng Police Station in Wangcang County harassed Ms. Yin Qingli and photographed her in late February.

Officers from the Donghe Town Police Station went to the homes of Ms. Bian Lixian and Ms. Wang Guofang on June 18. They pressured Ms. Bian to sign paperwork, which she refused.

Five officers from the Jiachuan Town Police Station, in Wangcang County, broke into Ms. He Xiufeng’s home at 3 p.m. on June 9. They told her not to go out to distribute Falun Gong materials. They left in a few minutes.

Officers from the Jiachuan Town Police Station went to the homes of Mr. Zan Shaocheng and Ms. Gou Tianjun on June 9. At that time, Ms. Gou was reading Zhuan Falun. They threatened that if she did not hand over the book, they would ransack her home. They snatched the book from her and threatened her not to go out to distribute Falun Gong materials.

Officers from the Jiachuan Town Police Station and officials from the township government went to Ms. Ji Wenqiong’s home on the afternoon of June 9. Ms. Ji was not at home. Seven people, including the police station director and township government personnel, went to Ms. Ji’s home again on the morning of June 17. As soon as they entered the house, they searched everywhere and threatened her not to go out and distribute Falun Gong materials.

22. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Yan Qinghua Arrested

Staff members from the community management office went to the home of Yan Qinghua (gender unknown) on the morning of June 2, 2021. They verified Yan’s name, asked whether Yan practiced Falun Gong or had been sentenced to prison before. They left after recording Yan’s personal information.

Yan received a call from a colleague on the morning of June 17, saying that several people were looking for Yan at the workplace, and asked Yan to rush over as soon as possible.

When they saw Yan, they immediately grabbed Yan’s cell phone and bag, and told Yan to unlock the car. They rummaged through Yan’s car, but did not find anything they wanted. They then told Yan to go to the police station with them to help investigate a few things.

After arriving at the Tianpeng Police Station, they took Yan to a room. A woman asked Yan, “Do you know why we are looking for you?” She then took out the video on her phone to show Yan, and asked, “Is this you?” Yan did not answer. They took Yan to the interrogation room and handcuffed Yan to an iron chair torture device. Four or five people interrogated Yan together. Yan was detained for five days.

23. [Hailar City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Yang Mingting Harassed

Officer Wang Enbin from the Old Barag Banner Police Department, Hulunbuir City, and two other people went to the home of Yang Mingting, 74, (gender unknown) at 1 p.m., on June 20, 2021. They asked whether Yang still practiced Falun Gong. Yang answered, “Yes, I do! If I didn’t practice Falun Gong, I would have died a long time ago. How could I otherwise live to this day.” Seeing that the woman was pointing cameras at Yang, Yang stopped her.

24. [Songzi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhao Mei Harassed

In mid-June 2021, officers from the Songzi City Police Department and the 610 Office headed by Deng Niangui instructed several staff members in the Xinjiangkou Sub-district Administration Office and the Heping Community Management Office to harass Ms. Zhao Mei. They wanted to set up a brainwashing class for her, which she refused.

Two days later, these people put up five large banners slandering Falun Gong in front of Ms. Zhao’s house, four of which were over a dozen meters long. Several unemployed people walked around the banners while keeping an eye on Ms. Zhao. The 610 Office members were working on arresting her.

25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Song Yushan Harassed Several Times

Mr. Song Yushan and his daughter have been repeatedly harassed by household registration officer Li Wenjin and officer Chen since May 2021. Sometimes the officers called and harassed them over the phone, sometimes the officers went to their home and wanted to take pictures of Mr. Song and his daughter. Later the officers instructed the person responsible for monitoring Internet content in the community to call Mr. Song. The person said over the phone, “If you don’t want to be photographed, then just sign your name.”

The person, officer Li, and officer Chen came to Mr. Song’s home on the morning of June 17. Chen stood a few steps back on the stairway. As soon as the door was opened Chen started videotaping with his cell phone.

26. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Baolei Harassed

Director Wang Kai, of the Miaohou Town Police Station, called Mr. Zhao Baolei, who operates a storefront in Taocun Town, on the afternoon of May 31, 2021. He told Mr. Zhao to go to the police station while he was looking into something.

Officer Yu Haitao and others went to Mr. Zhao’s storefront in the town at noon on June 3. They did not find Mr. Zhao in the store, and called him. Mr. Zhao told them that he did not have time.

A person from the Taocun Town government called him on June 16. Mr. Zhao said, “I don’t have time. Just tell me what you want over the phone if you have something to say.” The person said, “It is inconvenient to discuss over the phone. Come over if you have time.” People from the town government and the police station later went to Mr. Zhao’s store several times to harass and intimidate his family.
