Taiwan: Clarifying the Truth to People from China

(Minghui.org) It has been 22 years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong in China, and Falun Gong practitioners around the world have been protesting the persecution and clarifying the truth in more than 100 countries worldwide ever since.

Ms. Huang Jingye, a practitioner in Taiwan who has been making phone calls to clarify the facts about Falun Gong for many years, said, “We hope that the precious Chinese people will not be buried with the CCP when it is disintegrated in the future. We must tell them the truth and give them the opportunity to make the best choices for their future.”

Calling to Clarify the Truth for 22 years

Ms. Huang Jingye first began to make phone calls to explain the truth about Falun Gong to people in China in 2000, because many of them had been deceived by the CCP.

Ms. Huang usually told them on the phone, “Falun Gong is good and the persecution of Falun Gong is wrong. Jiang Zemin, the former head of the CCP, was jealous of Falun Gong’s popularity and launched the persecution of Falun Gong.”

Some listeners responded, “Falun Gong is not allowed to be practiced here, and we are afraid to listen to you.”

Jingye continued, “You must renounce the oath you made when you joined the CCP or you will be implicated when the CCP is eliminated. I hope you stop working for the CCP and can withdraw from the CCP and its youth organizations to keep safe.”

Some people hung up out of fear, but others listened to her advice. They told her that they were Party members and asked her to help them withdraw from it with an alias. “You must remember that Falun Dafa is good and the Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation is a hoax orchestrated by the CCP.” Ms. Jing urged them, “Please tell your relatives and friends to quit the CCP to keep safe. You will have a great future for your good deed.” People eventually thanked her.

Enthusiastic Response from College Students in China

Ms. Huang sometimes called college students dormitories in China and could persuade over 20 students to quit the CCP and its youth organizations a day.

Ms. Huang told them, “You are so young. Why does the CCP want you to swear [to give yourself to the Party] when you join the Party, Youth League, or Young Pioneers? That is very serious and it is very wrong. You are privileged and should understand that the CCP has regularly eliminated its members and persecuted and killed many of its people through all of its political movements since it seized power 100 years ago, such as during the Great Revolution, at the Tiananmen Square Massacre on June 4, 1989, and in the persecution of Falun Gong. Tens of millions of Chinese have been murdered by the Party.”

Some students listened to Ms. Huang quietly and some chatted with her. Ms. Huang told them, “I am probably your grandmother’s age, but I am very healthy because I practice Falun Gong. I’ve benefited from Falun Gong and I want to tell you the truth about it.” Some of the students called her grandmother out of respect and some gave her the phone number of the dormitory next door. Some woke up their sleeping roommates so they could hear the truth, too.

Ms. Huang has also gone to Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan to talk to Chinese tourists. Just last year she learned how to use a mobile phone to clarify the truth. She installed the applications (apps) on 18 mobile phones. Ms. Huang says that she is willing to learn anything, no matter how difficult it might be, as long as it can help the people in China understand the truth.

The Power of Dafa: From Being Illiterate to Reading Zhuan Falun

Ms. Huang was born with amblyopia and couldn’t see the blackboard even sitting in the first row at school. Her family was so poor they couldn’t afford to buy her glasses, she did not go anymore and was illiterate.

A friend introduced her to Falun Gong in 1997. Ms. Huang said, “Since I was illiterate and could not read Falun Gong books, I quit my job and concentrated on learning to read Zhuan Falun. My husband taught me one page every day, and I wrote down the pronunciation if I did not know how to read it. Master Li, the founder of Dafa, saw my sincere heart and taught me to read a few pages in my sleep at night. I saw the beautifully colored Falun spinning and saw the book word by word. Amazingly, I could read those pages after I woke up. In six months I could read all of Zhuan Falun and keep up with everyone during group Fa-study.”

Amazing Experience: Recovering from Amblyopia

Ms. Huang said, “From the time I was young, I’d suffered from amblyopia and my eyes were also very sensitive to light. I was always squinting. I felt as if there was a membrane covering my eyeballs, and I couldn’t see the words clearly. After I’d practiced Falun Dafa for six months, Master removed that membrane for me. My eyes became clear and the amblyopia also miraculously disappeared. I can see every word in the Dafa books clearly.”

Ms. Huang also suffered from all kinds of ailments, back pain, and kidney issues. After practicing Falun Gong, she experienced tremendous changes and became very healthy. She said there are no words to describe her great joy.

Ms. Huang had many attachments before she began cultivating, but she improved rapidly by following the principles of Falun Dafa to let go of fame, personal gain, and sentimentality. Sometimes she did not realize that she had an attachment in a conflict. But she always looked within later and tried to do things better the next time. She learned to always consider others’ needs first.

Bad Temper Disappeared

Ms. Wang Suqing, who was at the same truth-clarification site as Ms. Huang Jingye, started practicing Falun Gong in 2010. She saw Shen Yun perform that year and then her sister sent her a copy of Zhuan Falun. She thought it was a very good book and understood many of the Fa principles, such as the relationship between virtue and karma and that cultivation could lead to increasing one’s gong and elevating one’s level. She used to have a bad temper and often argued with her husband. After practicing Falun Gong, that went away and now she is considerate. Her husband thinks her temper has greatly improved.

Ms. Wang frequently went to Sun Moon Lake to clarify the truth to tourists from China before the CCP virus pandemic. Since the pandemic, very few Chinese tourists travel to Taiwan anymore, so Ms. Wang started to use a mobile phone to clarify the truth. She posted news on internet group chats along with information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Many Chinese left messages saying that they liked her postings and wanted to be added to her group. Ms. Wang said, “Some people in China have told me that what I post is very good, which gives me a lot of positive energy. The people who understand the truth will usually agree to withdraw from the CCP.”

When Ms. Wang was asked when the truth-clarification activities that have been going on for 22 years will end, she responded, “The day the CCP stops persecuting Falun Gong.”
