(Minghui.org) The Minghui editorial board recently published the article “Do Not Change the Nature of Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts.” Some practitioners immediately expressed confusion or looked around for channels to ask: “Do Taiwan practitioners still need to send forth righteous thoughts for Hong Kong? Can Hong Kong still ask mainland practitioners to help send forth righteous thoughts? Do mainland practitioners still need to send righteous thoughts for Hong Kong?” The list goes on and on. I think this may be the exact state of mind the editorial addresses.

Minghui published the first notice about “Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts” 20 years ago on May 25, 2001. During the past 20 years, practitioners around the world have developed the habit of sending forth righteous thoughts for specific events, like for the U.S. election, for fellow practitioners with sickness karma tribulations, to rescue fellow practitioners, for certain projects, etc. In short, sending righteous thoughts that are more targeted or for specific situations have been organized for people and events, large and small, often on a regional level. There were often many requirements, statements, and controversies, such that many practitioners who came in later couldn’t figure out the requirements for sending righteous thoughts.

I also saw some experience sharing articles that said their goals and essential points for sending righteous thoughts in their region were so long that they couldn’t finish reading them in five minutes. Others suggested that Minghui continue to organize and update the essentials of sending forth righteous thoughts.

After reading this Minghui editorial, it occurred to me that what Master Li wanted us to do in sending forth righteous thoughts might have been interfered with for a long time. When conflicts and demonic interference arise, practitioners are prone to the attachment of pursuit, the desire to take shortcuts, the desire to be relieved of pain sooner, and so on. If we take sending righteous thoughts as a “panacea,” we have inadvertently misinterpreted and changed what it means to send righteous thoughts without realizing it.

In fact, we just need to send forth righteous thoughts in accordance with Master’s requirements in his teachings on that subject, as well as with the essentials in the initial “Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts” notice from Minghui. If done well, the specific effects that we want are included in it.

But do we dare to believe it? Are we willing to believe? If we really believe, we will do what Master told us to do. We won’t have to add this or that, change the essentials, or set specific goals when we do.

Master said: “ … a great way is extremely simple and easy.” (Chapter I, The Features of Falun Dafa, The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection)

If we always list all kinds of specific, detailed, and cumbersome goals, isn’t this unintentionally losing the connotation of the Fa? Sending forth righteous thoughts is very important and sacred. Now that the Minghui editorial has been published as a reminder, as Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period, we should at least calm down and think rationally. It's important that we leave a healthy path and a correct reference for future generations.

My current understanding may not be right.
