1. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Liu Qiaoyun, nearly 80, from Yunmeng County, was arrested by two officers led by Lu Hongzhou, head of the Yunmeng County Domestic Security Division, when she went to the vegetable market on February 9, 2021. Lu grabbed, dragged, and insulted her. They took her to the Chengnan Police Station for interrogation and took notes. The interrogation lasted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ms. Liu was subsequently released.

On May 19, officers from the police station went to Ms. Yin Juxiang’s home and pressured her to go to the police station. After Ms. Yin went there, the officers pressured her to curse the founder of Falun Gong, which she refused. They videotaped her and then released her.

Around 10 a.m. on May 19, two men and two women went to Ms. Li Huanxiang’s home and told her to go to the Urban Management Office, but she refused to go. Then they brought another person to her home and pressured her to give up Falun Gong, which she refused.

2. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Meihong Arrested

Ms. Wu Meihong from the No. 853 Farm in Baoqing County was arrested and taken to the police department by officers led by Yuan Changxiao and Lu Qizhou on May 23, 2021. The officers pressured her to write three statements, but she refused. They threatened and intimidated her, and pressured her to fingerprint the three statements that had already been written. She refused to comply. Several officers grabbed her hands to press her fingerprints on the statements. Ms. Wu was released around 1 o’clock that afternoon.

3. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Ailian and Ms. Huang Chunlan Arrested

Ms. Li Ailian and Ms. Huang Chunlan were arrested by officers including Zhen Jiangong from the Yancheng District Domestic Security Division on May 20, 2021. The officers impounded the tricycle they were riding at the time. The police have not returned the tricycle, which has caused the practitioner’s family difficulty.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Deng Xiuqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Deng Xiuqin was arrested and taken to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center, on June 8, 2021, by officers from the Zongguan Street Police Station and staff members from the Yimei Community Management Office in Yijia Sub-district. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Held in Detention Center

Ms. Zhang Ying from Donghua Village, Hutang Town, Wujin District, is being held in the Xilin Detention Center.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Yan Arrested

Practitioner Yan (first name and gender unknown) was arrested at home by the deputy director and other officers from the Jiaojinshan Police Station around 7 p.m. on June 2, 2021. The officers ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, two computers, and a printer. Yan was taken to the Dalian No.4 People’s Hospital, the Chunliu Hospital, and the Public Security Hospital for a physical examination on June 3. Yan was released around 6 p.m. on June 3.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Wu Riling Taken to Brainwashing Center

Wu Riling (gender unknown) from Tianxing Village, Juntun Town, Xindu District, was taken to the Taixing Town Brainwashing Center on the morning of May 19, 2021, by Liu Boqiang, village security officer. Wu was pressured to sign and fingerprint paperwork.

8. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Pan Yunxia’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Pan Yunxia, nearly 70, clarified the truth to a man on the morning of May 27, 2020. More than 20 plainclothes officers gathered around her. They pushed her to the ground, and dragged her into a car. Ms. Pan was taken to the Shannan Police Station. Her home was ransacked and her photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was released on bail 20 hours later.

In March 2021, officers from the Shannan Police Station contacted Ms. Pan twice. On May 25, officers went to her home to verify that the Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated from her home. Ms. Pan was subsequently summoned by the Fengtai Procuratorate.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Li Arrested

Officers from the Siwei Road Police Station in the Jiang’an District knocked on the door at Mr. Liu Li’s rented home on the evening of June 7, 2021. Mr. Liu did not open the door. They cut off the water and electricity supply to his home and arranged people to stay overnight outside the door.

On June 8, they were still waiting outside the door. Mr. Liu’s child could not go to school. That afternoon, Mr. Liu and his child walked out of their home, and closed the door. Those people waiting outside stopped them and asked Mr. Liu to open the door. Mr. Liu would not give them the key. They called a locksmith and forcibly opened the door. Mr. Liu was taken to the Houhu Brainwashing Center.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guozhi Harassed

Mr. Zhang Guozhi from the Jiutai District was harassed by the local village Party secretary over the phone in mid-May 2021. The Party secretary asked him to take a video of himself and send it to the local police station, which he refused.

Later, Weizigou Community management personnel harassed Mr. Zhang’s son who was working out of town over the phone. Mr. Zhang’s son did not cooperate.

11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yuhua from Chuanying District was arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market on June 6, 2021. Her younger sister Ms. Zhang Yufeng was also arrested on her way home from the market.

Ms. Zhang Hongjie went to Ms. Zhang Yufeng’s home around 6:30 that evening and was arrested by officers who were staked out there.

After 8 o’clock that evening, Ms. Zhang’s family still did not see her returning home. They asked her aunt, Ms. Liu Xiuying, to look for her. Ms. Liu was arrested instead.

Ms. Liu’s non-practitioner son went to look for his mother, and was also arrested. Officers took Ms. Liu’s son to her home, ransacked the place, and confiscated all her Falun Gong books. Ms. Liu’s son was released after 10:30 p.m. that night.

After 11 p.m. that night, the officers went to Ms. Zhang Hongjie’s mother’s home and searched the place. They confiscated some keepsakes which had information about Falun Gong. The family later learned that the Beishan Police Station in the Chuanying District participated in the arrest.

The families of Ms. Zhang Hongjie and Ms. Liu Xiuying went to the police station and demanded to see them on June 7, but were told that neither practitioner was there.

At 8 p.m. on June 7, Ms. Zhang called her family and told them that she had been taken to the Jilin City Detention Center. On June 8 and June 9, the families of Ms. Zhang and Ms. Liu went to the detention center to deposit money and send in clothes, but they were not allowed to see the two practitioners.

12. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Fangyu, in her 70s, from Chengyang District, was arrested at home, on June 3, 2021, by officers from the Huanxiu Police Station, Jimo District. Mr. Fan Yanqi and Mr. Li Ganlin from the Jimo District were also arrested at the same time.

On the same day, Mr. Song Yusheng, Ms. Fang Yuying and Mr. Feng Liguo were arrested by officers from the Jimo Development Zone Police Station.

13. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yujie and Ms. Wei Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Chen Yujie, from the Jincheng Sub-district in Linghai City, ran into Ms. Wei Xiuying, from Jincheng Sub-district, on her way to the Linghai Grand Farmers' Market on the morning of May 25, 2021. When the two practitioners were chatting, they were arrested by the police and taken to the Dalinghe Police Department.

After 2 p.m., the officers ransacked their homes. Ms. Wei failed the physical examination, and her family is seeking medical parole for her. Ms. Chen was taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center. Her case was turned over to the procuratorate.

14. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Kong Lingpo Fined 10,000 Yuan

Mr. Kong Lingpo from Houpeng Village was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on August 7, 2020. He was recently fined 10,000 yuan by the Rencheng District Court of Jining City.

15. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qiu Tieling and Ms. Wang Jinhui Arrested

Ms. Qiu Tieling and Ms. Wang Jinhui from the Xincheng District were arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of June 4, 2021. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Qiu is being held in the Tieling County Detention Center.

It was reported on June 7 that officers from the Xincheng District Police Department locked Ms. Wang in an iron cage in the basement of an unmarked office building of the police department at the junction of Taishan Road and Jinshajiang Road. They claimed that she had a fever.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Shuling Arrested Again

Ms. Zhu Shuling, 76, was arrested again by officers from the Dongsheng Police Station in the Erdao District on June 1, 2021. The officers also threatened to send her to a detention center. She was released at her family's request.

17. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yan Lijun Arrested

Officers and police assistants from the Jianye Township Police broke into Ms. Yan Lijun’s home in Xin’an Village between 6 - 7 p.m. on June 3, 2021. They arrested Ms. Yan and her non-practitioner husband Mr. Gao Er.

Ms. Yan is being held in the detention center, and her husband is being held in the lockup center for 15 days of detention.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ruiping Missing

Ms. Wang Ruiping, about 70, from the Donggang District, recently disappeared. It's believed she has been arrested.

19. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Wanjiang and Wife Ms. Wang Guixiang Arrested

Mr. Li Wanjiang and his wife Ms. Wang Guixiang from the Paoya Sub-district in the Ganjingzi District were arrested at home by officers from the Paoya Police Station on June 3, 2021. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, a printer, a computer, two boxes of printer paper, and a wallet containing cash for groceries. Officer Han Chenjin interrogated them. Deputy director Zhou was responsible for the arrest.

Mr. Li returned home around 1 a.m. that night. Ms. Wang was taken to the Jinnan Road Drug Rehabilitation Center for five days of detention. She returned home on June 8.

20. [Beijing] Ms. Qiu Dongyun Arrested

Ms. Qiu Dongyun from the Daxing District was arrested on June 8, 2021. She is being held in the Law Enforcement and Case Handling Center of the Daxing Police Department.

21. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Jing Harassed

Ms. Liu Jing from the Taihe District was harassed at home by several officers from the Taihe District Police Department and the Nuerher Police Station on the morning of June 3, 2021. The officers confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong among other personal belongings.

22. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Face Trial

Families received calls from their lawyers on June 8, 2021, informing them that Ms. Xiao Yanfang, Mr. Liu Yibo, Mr. Wang Qing, and Wang Simei (gender unknown) will be tried by the Xiaochang County Court at 9:30 a.m. on June 16, 2021.

Mr. Wang’s family recently received a phone call from a lawyer, who told them that the court changed the hearing date to June 10.

23. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Mingqing Arrested

Ms. Zhu Mingqing from the Bayilu Sub-district was arrested upon returning home on the afternoon of June 2, 2021. Before she returned home the police had already ransacked the place. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer and other items and loaded the items into two cars. Now, Ms. Zhu’s family cannot contact her.

24. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Liang Shuzhi Arrested

Elderly Ms. Liang Shuzhi from the Sanya Community in the Heping District was arrested at home by officers from the Heping District Police Department and the local police on June 8, 2021. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong books. On the same day, her family tried their best to offer guarantees to the police before they were allowed to take her home.

25. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Guishu Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guishu from the Shunyi District was arrested at home at the end of March 2021 by officers from the Yang Town Police Station. She was held in the Shunyi Detention Center for over two months.

26. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifeng and Ms. Wang Sulan Held in Custody

Ms. Liu Guifeng and Ms. Wang Sulan were arrested on November 25, 2020. They are being held in custody in the Chengyang District. Ms. Liu is facing trial. Her family hired a lawyer, who was not allowed to meet with her.

In addition, Mr. Huang Yuqiang was arrested and held in a facility in the Chengyang District.

27. [Wanrong County, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Tried

Ms. Wang Cuixia, 48, Ms. Li Xiujuan, 49, and Ms. Han Guizhen, 68, all from Linyi County, were tried by the Wanrong County Court on May 12, 2021. The court prevented Ms. Wang Cuixia’s lawyer from meeting with her – which is in violation of legal procedure. After the hearing, the court did not pronounce a verdict, stating that the verdict was postponed.
