Ninety Year Old Falun Dafa Practitioner: Breakthrough During Illness Karma Tribulations

(Minghui.org) I am in my 90s, in good health, and in high spirits. I go out almost every day, to clarify the facts to people and help them with renouncing their memberships from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations, so that they will have a bright future. 

Prior to practicing Falun Dafa I had a heart attack, coupled with chest pain, stomach fluttering and vomiting. After I began to practice Falun Dafa in June 1996, I recovered from several illnesses. For the past more than two decades, I have experienced multiple illness karma eliminations. Under Master’s benevolent protection, and with my faith in Master Li (Dafa’s founder), I made a breakthrough every time. 

Two Heart Attacks 

One day in July 2007, I suddenly felt pain in my heart. I couldn’t walk and had to sit down on the curb, with both hands pressing my heart. A passerby asked if I had to be taken to the hospital. I told him that I would be fine in a short while.

I sent forth righteous thoughts: “I am Master Li’s disciple, and only follow the cultivation path Master arranged for me. Then I begged Master, “Master, your disciple doesn’t cultivate well. I’ll do well the three things going forward. Your disciple leaves his life and death in your hands. Master, please help me return home.” As soon as I finished saying that, I saw a light beam like a silver needle piercing through my heart. A few seconds later, my pain ceased. 

I went through the same test in March 2011, having the same symptoms. I firmly negated any interference. By looking inward, I found fear, attachment to leisure, sentimentality and more. I firmly eliminated them. I didn’t take the illness symptom to heart but adjusted my schedule to get up at 1:30 a.m. to do the exercises, followed by going out to clarify the facts and help people quit the CCP. Meanwhile, I stayed away from reading regular people’s books, and only read the Fa attentively. 

About 12 days later, soon after I went to bed that night I felt a big hand adjusting my chest. After I woke up, I felt my whole body was so comfortable, especially my heart. I knew I was healed. Thank you Master! 

Master Removed My Pancreatic Tumors and Kidney Stones

I got up to do the exercises at 2:10 a.m. on September 8, 2013. Suddenly I felt severe pain in my spleen and pancreas. My heart, stomach, and intestines were all in pain. I was soaked in sweat and in such pain that I lost consciousness. 

A few minutes later I came to. I realized that I was incontinent and ended up soiling my pants. When I lost consciousness, I saw a red soft object as big as a potato and in the form of a kidney crushed by one foot. After I took a shower, I did the exercises. I appreciated Master for removing my pancreatic tumors. The usual feeling of fullness in the left abdominal area had disappeared, replaced by feeling loose and empty. 

My body felt pain and uncomfortable on February 1, 2016. In the beginning, it was the soreness of the lumbar spine and gradually expanded to every joint, urinal, abdomen, and internal organs. I was so restless and couldn’t sleep for the whole night. When I urinated in the morning I saw small stones as big as rice in my urine. Master removed my kidney stones. 

The Disappearance of an Ear Cholesteatoma in Two Years and Seven Months 

I had a sudden severe pain in my right ear from a protocholesteatoma on October 6, 2013. I couldn’t open my mouth, nor eat or drink, or yawn. I felt dizzy and had trouble standing up. In a dream, I was told that my cholesteatoma became cancerous. But, I wasn’t scared. I had a middle ear infection when I was young that developed into a cholesteatoma. Now since I practice Dafa, I have Master to take care of me. It was Master who eliminated my karma. This was a test. 

My right ear was leaking smelly black liquid and dirt. The pain was even harder to endure. Especially late at night, it hurt so much. After I was soaked in sweat from the pain I quietly recited Master’s words deep down, “‘Nothing is truly unbearable or impossible.’” (The Ninth Talk, Zhuan Falun) I thought Master was by my side and I’d be fine. Not until October 8, 2014, a black, smelly thing the size of peanut rice fell out. My ear didn't hurt anymore.

At night on May 24, 2016, my ear hurt again. I was in much pain and felt dizzy. When I lay in bed, I felt I was hanging in the air and about to fall off the bed. I tried to hold onto the bed frame tightly but still couldn’t maintain my balance. I felt very sad. Since I felt muddle-headed, I decided to ask for Master’s help. 

Suddenly, I saw a young man in his 20s standing by my bed. He lowered his head with a very painful look. Then he squinted at me. I asked him, “Who are you? What have you come here for? How did you get in?” He replied in a low voice, “I belong here.” I said right away, “You are a hanged ghost.” Then suddenly, he disappeared. I also became conscious. I sat up after sending forth righteous thoughts for over half an hour. 

I thought the young man was a hanging ghost to collect debts from me, and I wanted to have a benevolent resolution with him. Later I thought that might not be the case. As that young man wore the same fleece jacket as I did in my youth. His face was also similar to mine. I thought that one of my assistant consciousness couldn’t stand the pain, and temporarily escaped from my body. 

My ear no longer hurt. Under Master’s benevolent protection, with my righteous thoughts and actions, I made the breakthrough of two trials on cholesteatoma within two years and seven months. 

A Tribulation on Not Being Able to Urinate

When I got up to do the exercises in the early morning of June 12, 2014, my lower body was in pain. I couldn’t urinate, my belly was about to explode. But I did everything that I was supposed to do as usual. I went out to awaken people’s consciousness in the morning. When my mind was focused on looking for people with predestined relationships with me and truth-clarification, I forgot all about my pain. 

However, as soon as I came home, the bloating of my belly was unbearable, and I had trouble urinating. I couldn’t eat lunch either. After I went for a run in the afternoon, it was still the same. At dinner time, I didn’t eat but curled up in bed, with fists clenched and lips trembling. I thought: If it were urine poisoning, then it might have caused negative impacts towards Dafa. So I shouted, “Master, please help me!” 

At about 10 p.m., after a sudden tingling pain in the abdomen, I wanted to urinate. When I woke up in the morning to do the exercises, my urine was back to normal. 

Strengthening My Righteous Thoughts, Getting over a Stroke at 86 Years of Age

I was going to go out to awaken people’s consciences on the morning of January 27, 2015. When I pushed open the exit door, I couldn’t help leaning forward. As a result, I couldn’t stand, but had to grab the door so as not to fall down. The left side of my body was in severe pain, the knee seemed to be broken, a half-moon kneecap slid in and out, the left half of my body felt numb, and was out of commission. The word “stroke” appeared in my mind. I negated it right away to oppose the old forces’ arrangement. 

Since then, I have had difficulty taking care of myself. I couldn’t touch the ground when I sat down. When I ate, my hand shook so hard that I couldn’t hold the bowl. When I did the exercises, I was soaked in sweat from the pain and my movements were off. 

Master said, 

“But I’d suggest that, since you’re Dafa disciples, let’s not write questions like, “My family is experiencing such-and-such difficulties,” or “Why is my body going through karma-elimination.” If you ask me, I will just tell you one thing: it is because you are a cultivator that you experienced that, and since you are a cultivator, those things—whether they seem positive or negative—are all good. (Enthusiastic applause) That’s because they were put in place for you so that you can improve yourself on your cultivation path.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2014 San Francisco Fa Conference”)

“The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

I came to enlighten that these tribulations were there for my improvement, and my righteous thoughts became stronger. I felt my actions should accordingly be righteous. Thus, I couldn’t stay at home, but went out to clarify the facts to people, despite the fact that I had to endure the pain. I walked very slowly, meanwhile, I tried not to let people see that I had suffered a “stroke.”

Then, a middle-aged woman walked towards me. Her posture of illness was similar to mine. I enthusiastically talked to her, telling her to recite “Falun Dafa is wonderful, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful.” She was receptive to what I said and decided to quit the CCP. Before she left, she took my handwritten slip with her and thanked me repeatedly. 

An elderly man in his 80s listened to our conversation. He said, “My back is sore and I lack strength in my lower body. Will it work for me if I recite this phrase?” After I clarified the facts to him again patiently, he decided to renounce his membership from the Youth League. When I was talking to people, I completely forgot about my pain. My physical condition was also back to normal. 

On my way home, I ran into an elderly lady whose conscience I awoke before. She said she wanted a few handwritten slips with the Dafa phrase to give to her neighbors and friends, as they liked to read this phrase. I said to her, “Why don’t you write it down for them?” She said, “That doesn’t work as the slips you write down have spiritual energy.” 

Since I kept going out to talk to people face-to-face, gradually, my illness karma symptoms disappeared. I was 86 years old then, I didn’t receive any treatment, but had recovered from a “stroke” quickly. This was truly a miraculous display of the power of Dafa. 

Master Having Resolved My Past Life's Grievances

On April 6, 2019, in a dream, I received a call to inform me “Houzheng” had died. “’Hougzheng’” was killed by a blast”. It turns out to be “Houzheng” is the harmonic sound of “laryngeal disease”, which was to tell me that my “laryngeal disease” was gone. 

What happened was: A few days ago, I had a bulge bigger than an egg in my throat. From the outside of the body, the mass hung in front of the neck in the right jaw, which caused difficulties for me to swallow and cough. A few days later, another dream hinted that in my past life, when I practiced in the deep forest, a bird with a chicken-like body and a neck like a crane flew towards me. I thought it was interfering with my practice and grabbed it by the throat. Because of the excessive force I used, it looked at me with anger and died of suffocation. Now, it came to collect its debt.

I recalled what Master said, 

“‘During the Fa-rectification of the cosmos, I can make a reasonable arrangement for those of you who don’t interfere with my validating the Fa; I can have you become beings in the future. Those of you who seek a benevolent resolution should leave me and wait in my surroundings. If you really cannot leave me, then don’t have any part in interfering with me. In the future, I will be able to achieve Consummation, and I will offer you a benevolent resolution. Those who are completely bad, who still interfere with me, and who cannot remain will, according to the standards, have to be eliminated. Even if I don’t eliminate you, the Law of the cosmos won’t let you remain.’” (Teachings at the 2004 International Conference in New York)

I wanted to have a benevolent resolution with it, hoping that it would stop interfering with me, and wait until I reach consummation to have a good place to go to. A week later, my bulge disappeared. Master’s Dafa resolved my past life’s grievance. 

Cultivation Experience on My Physical Tribulations 

Master said, 

“So you might face imminent, mortal danger once you really begin the spiritual journey.” (The Third Talk, Zhuan Falun)

“Nobody will dare to rashly do anything to you as long as your practice stays on track. And besides, you have the protection of my spiritual bodies. So no harm will come to you.” (The Third Talk, Zhuan Falun)

Master watches his disciples at all times. Without Master’s protection, I wouldn’t have made the breakthrough time after time. Thus, we, Dafa disciples, must have faith in Master and Dafa. 

I came to enlighten that one must read the Fa, so that one could make real improvement.

In addition, Master said, 

“What is a “Dafa disciple”? Whom Master teaches are precisely you, these disciples of Dafa. You are being cleansed, being tempered to maturity, and made ready to save sentient beings.” (“Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day”)

“‘Dafa disciples’ are those who shoulder the responsibilities of a Dafa disciple and save sentient beings.” (“Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day”)

I understand that our practitioners must clarify the facts to people and save them. Otherwise, we couldn’t carry our titles as Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. 

In the end, I’d like to wrap up my sharing with Master’s words, 

“I’ll put it even more clearly: the cultivation that you are doing in this lifetime is to strengthen the righteous thoughts that your being at the surface has, and that is so that you can save all living beings.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)

“Saving lives is the purpose of your cultivation, and it is the culmination of your vows, so how could you not do it?” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
