(Minghui.org) At least 25 Falun Gong practitioners and four of their family members in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, were arrested between June 1 and 3, 2021.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Arrest on June 1

Ms. Song Xiaomei was arrested by Fude Police Station officers on the morning of June 1. She is now in the Dalian Detention Center.

Arrests on June 2

Ms. Guan (first name unknown) and her four guests—Ms. Wang Yuehong, Ms. Song Yuhua, Mr. Mao Yonggang, and an elderly female practitioner whose name remains unknown—were arrested by Rixin Police Station officers on June 2.

Ms. Mao Jiaping and her neighbor Ms. Wang (first name unknown), who live near Malanzi Elementary School, were arrested and had their homes ransacked. Ms. Wang was released later that evening.

Ms. Liu (first name unknown) was arrested by Renminlu Police Station officers and held at the Yaojia Detention Center. Another female practitioner was arrested with her.

Ms. Zhang Lianhua and her husband were arrested at home by Beijingjie Police Station officers. Her Falun Gong books, informational materials, and printer were confiscated. Her husband was released that same day and Ms. Zhang was released on bail two days later.

Ms. Li Chunmei was arrested that afternoon. Her computer and printer were confiscated.

Ms. Sun Xiujun was arrested at around 6 p.m. Her computer and printer were also confiscated.

At 7 p.m., six officers broke into the home of Mr. Li Wanjiang and his wife Ms. Wang Guixiang. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and many personal belongings. The couple and their son, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, were all arrested. Mr. Li and their son were released at around 1 a.m. while Ms. Wang remains in detention.

Ms. Xu Yinghua and Xin (first name unknown) were also arrested at around 7 p.m. by Hongqi Town Police Station officers. Their homes were ransacked.

Bayilu Police Station officers broke into the home of practitioner Wang and confiscated a laptop, a printer, and other personal property. No one was at home at the time. Only when the police called Wang’s family and told them to cooperate with the interrogation did they find out Wang had been arrested.

Ms. Xu Hongling and Yingying (last name unknown) were also arrested on June 2.

Arrests on June 3

Yang (first name unknown) was arrested by Lingshui Police Station officers at 9 a.m. on June 3.

Also around 9 a.m., Ms. Zhang Min and her husband were arrested by Heishijiao Police Station officers. They were released on bail that evening.

Ms. Cui Yan was arrested by Zhang Wei and other officers from the Lijiajie Police Station. They held her down on the ground and handcuffed her. Her hands became swollen and her arms were bruised. The police ransacked her home from 8 a.m. until noon.

Both Ms. Cui and her husband were then taken to the Lijiajie Police Station. After her husband was released the next afternoon, the police took Ms. Cui to the hospital for a physical exam. After the attending physician said she had a medical condition, the police took her to two more hospitals, where the results were the same. Despite that, the police still took her to the Dalian Detention Center at 11:30 p.m. The detention center, however, refused to admit her, so the police had to release her on bail.

Mr. Liu Zhonghua and a practitioner surnamed Wang were also arrested on June 3.
