(Minghui.org) A Baicheng City, Jilin Province resident was sentenced to four years in prison around mid-February 2021 for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Qi Fengzhen was arrested on July 15, 2020 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. As she was denied visitation at the Baicheng City Detention Center, her family is worried about her.
Ms. Qi isn’t the only person in her family who has been persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. Her younger sister, Ms. Qi Fengmin, a Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province resident, was sentenced to five years in 2008. Only nine months after she was released, in April 2013, she was arrested again for giving out Falun Gong materials and sentenced to another five years.
