The Importance of Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts When Facing Prosecution for Our Faith

(Minghui.org) While facing prosecution for our faith in Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and trying to clarify the truth to those in the legal system, it’s also very important to send forth righteous thoughts throughout the process.

It is my understanding that when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) prosecutes Falun Dafa practitioners, it is the communist specter and other evil beings in other dimension that control those people in the legal system to commit crimes against practitioners. These people are in fact hostage to the evil spirits. Their actions and words only reflect the evil spirits. As a cultivator, we should not be moved by them and we should instead remember that our compassion has the power to eliminate the evil and save those people.

When practitioners around China started filing criminal complaints in 2015 against former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution, Minghui.org published many experience sharing articles on the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. The same is true when we are faced with the several nationwide harassment campaigns in recent years, such as the “Zero-out Campaign” started last year, aimed to force every practitioner on the government's blacklist to give up their faith.

This is not to say that sending righteous thoughts alone can resolve all problems. The three things a practitioner needs to do, including studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and exposing the persecution, are all connected to each other. 

Everything in this human world is secondary compared to having sentient beings understand and accept the truth about Dafa. Perhaps even the persecution was a way for the perpetrators to connect with Dafa practitioners and seek salvation. For us Dafa disciples, every tribulation is an opportunity for us to ascend in our cultivation. What we need to do is to rectify ourselves step by step, and reach those who have predestined relationships with us (including perpetrators of the persecution), and spread the goodness of Falun Dafa.

Different Mentalities in Sending Righteous Thoughts Leads to Different Results

One practitioner was facing trial in 2018 for practicing Falun Gong. The judge threatened to hand down a heavy sentence. Although many practitioners tried to explain to the judge and other court officials about the facts of Falun Dafa, the judge appeared indifferent. The day before the court date, a practitioner from another city decided to send righteous thoughts and have the judge meet with karmic retribution.

This practitioner had very strong righteous thoughts. He didn't resent the judge but instead thought of saving him so that he would not commit more sins against Dafa. As a result, the judge was hospitalized and the hearing was delayed. When another judge took over the case, the practitioner was released soon after the hearing.

A young female practitioner was taken to a detention center after her husband reported her to the police for practicing Falun Gong. Her husband was having an affair with another woman at the time. The young woman's mother, who was a veteran practitioner, felt bitter toward her son-in-law. She sent forth righteous thoughts wanting him to receive his comeuppance for what he did. With such strong resentment, the mother's state of cultivation got worse and worse and her daughter was forced to repent in court before being given a heavy sentence.

The Power of Righteous Thoughts

A group of practitioners went out to distribute Falun Dafa informational materials in a residential area. The task required multiple days to complete. During the process, one of the practitioners felt some black matter in their dimensions; another practitioner who had been persecuted before felt a lot of pressure; one practitioner showed the attachment of pursuit; and yet another practitioner heard that someone had reported them to the property management. 

But one practitioner remembered from a sharing article on Minghui.org, “I am here to help Master with Fa-rectification, I am not here to suffer the persecution!” 

With that thought, this practitioner saw in his dream: Master was teaching the Fa sitting behind a desk. Master lifted his right hand and a diamond-like energy cluster appeared on his palm. A voice said to the practitioner, “Watch!” The energy shot out like a waterfall. After some distance, the energy changed to several rows of doves flying high in the sky. One dove landed on this practitioner's hand, then it flew to another person. Another dove flew to another practitioner, then returned to this practitioner. This practitioner felt that Master was encouraging them to do what's right.

Using the Legal System to Save People

The CCP has been using the legal system to persecute Dafa practitioners for many years. When talking about the Chinese legal system, many practitioners become pale as if a tiger was mentioned. Therefore, disseminating the necessary legal knowledge among practitioners is also part of strengthening our righteous thoughts.

Master has made arrangements for each practitioner to improve gradually. As we study the Fa more, and read more experience sharing articles on Minghui.org, we can keep up with the Fa-rectification progress, and our ability to save sentient beings utilizing the legal system will improve as well.

Our purpose for using the legal system is to let people know of the truth, not just to navigate those legal proceedings. When we are clear about our goal, the mechanisms for reaching people are set up in our dimensions. 

In other dimensions, Master has already planned and arranged our paths, and we just need to follow them. Those who work in the legal systems are waiting to hear the truth about Falun Dafa. If problems arise in this process, it is for all practitioners involved to look within and rectify themselves.

In order to save people, a cultivator is required to reach the standard. Even a slight human notion could cause undesirable changes. No matter what happens, as long as the practitioner holds the thought of reaching people with the truth, there is always a chance to succeed. Oftentimes, when we stay unmoved while facing obstacles, we find that things change for the better, beyond our imagination. People become very accepting of what we say and they are really waiting and hoping to hear and understand the truth.

In 2019, a practitioner went to the local Procuratorate to submit a legal opinion, urging the prosecutor not to approve another practitioner’s arrest. He lamented that he was by himself while walking to the prosecutor's office. Suddenly he saw a road leading to the Procuratorate in another dimension, and people who work at the office were waiting for him at the end of the road. The road was covered with a carpet and he was walking on it briskly and joyously. He realized that Master had prepared the road for him and he just needed to walk the path. His mission was to save those people.

Every Dafa practitioner is very capable and amazing. Everyone has his or her own way of utilizing the legal system, and each is the manifestation of the cultivator's supernormal ability. There are no two exactly alike.

Wisdom from the Fa

How to go about specific legal requirements and procedures? How to use legal documents, truth-clarifying letters, or face-to-face clarification? To answer these questions, we must use the wisdom from the Fa. As long as practitioners pay attention to Fa-study, doing the exercises, and sending forth righteous thoughts, we will know how to take each step and how to deal with different kinds of excuses and threats from the authorities. These are tests arranged for cultivators. After passing each test with righteous thoughts, we came to understand that these legal proceedings were opportunities that Master had arranged for us to improve rapidly.

A practitioner who was illegally sentenced to prison wanted to submit a motion to reconsider the case. He didn't know how to write the application. He thought about it day after day. He was not concerned that he didn't have any legal background or know how to write it. All he was thinking was that he must file an application to let people know that it was illegal to persecute Dafa. 

One night he had a dream, in which he saw the full motion written. When he woke up, he wrote down what he saw in his dream and handed it to the appropriate agency requesting that his sentence be revoked and the policemen involved in the persecution be held accountable in accordance with the law.

Another practitioner wanted to sue Jiang Zemin. However he did not know the proper format for the criminal complaint. Thus he started sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any evil factors in other dimensions that interfered with his filing the complaint. While he was sending forth righteous thoughts, he saw the format for the criminal complaint in front of him. He then asked how to write a specific part of the complaint, and a voice gave him the answer. This practitioner followed the direction and wrote his lawsuit and sent it off.

Every practitioner has witnessed many wonders of Dafa and Master's grace in his or her cultivation. Dafa disciples are validating the Fa and helping Master in the Fa-rectification of the human world. For cultivators walking the path to godhood, ordinary people's law can be used at will for the sake of reaching people with the truth.
